  1. It's a large patch, nothing more. If this type of thing reminds you of NGE then you simply need to play more MMOs.
  2. Well most people don't really care about the lore sorry to say. And I guess the best fix would be disallow same faction fighting on RP servers. And I'm not going to get into how crap x-server is.
  3. The republic are uninteresting. This gives the Sith long queues. This leaves two options, Sith quitting/rerolling reps and not enjoying the game as much, or bending the lore to allow for same faction fighting. Gameplay and business say the latter wins out.
  4. OMG! A change in an MMO made past gear crappier! What will happen next?!?!?
  5. Herein lies the issue with the word "balance". PvP in TOR is objective based. So as far as balance, the proficiency of classes at the game compared to others, is concerned 1v1 doesn't matter. The plethora of battlefield control abilities sorcs get do make them much more potent than other classes.
  6. No he's right, the merc pyro is pretty bad for PvP. Powertech Pyro is what kicks *** in PvP.
  7. Sorcs have way too much utility for huttball, but that's the bad design of the wz, not the sorc class. Everything else is pretty even, not perfect mind, but pretty close. GJ
  8. So the format that encourages rivals and camaraderie through competition is getting x-server which in turns kills said interactions (hard to build those types of connections with people you only see once a week), yet the unchanging boss fighting format that requires little communication or knowledge of other players doesn't? I've understood the logic of every decision you guys have made 'til now (not necessarily agreed with, but understood the logic) but this just baffles me. I guess I'll just take solace in the fact there aren't many aussie servers so our pvp community should survive. That's assuming you don't stick us in a battlegroup with the US and negate the only thing we need a good ping for.

    Extraction

His point is that "enemy pull" doesn't work when resolved. I think it's fine myself, but your logic is fail lol.
  10. Yeah now if only we had a 30m grapple, a perma 50% snare on our spammable instant, and a proc that vented heat every 6 seconds on average.
  11. There's two types of PvP mentalities these days. The traditional MMO style who think time = gear and that those with gear deserve to win. Then there's the newer breed who PvP to PvP and just acquire gear as a secondary effect. The former are confused and crying, the latter are happy.
  12. Grats on the paid trip guys. Condolences about needing to attend that TOR thing though.
  13. My long cooldown that's a whole 6seconds?
  14. More people bioware are going to lose.

    I dropped the Ball.

Don't worry, no matter how badly you dropped the ball the bioware pvp team has dropped it worse.
  16. Resolve needs a little tweaking. 50 Gear needs a complete rework. PvP rank needs a complete rework. Dailies/weeklies and any other time limited mechanics need removing. PvP should be about skill, not time played. See pre lvl 50.

    Best pvp class/spec?

If you have to ask which class is the best then it doesn't matter, you never will be.
  18. Instanced PvP lowers the number of people world pvping simply because it gives more options. What killed world PvP is the carebear design.
  19. This isn't PvE. People don't need to grind gear for the next boss, they want to fight players. A large portion of PvPers clearly enjoy even geared PvP. You only have to look at the MASS rerolls for pre-50 PvP. It's not about fast gear, it's about removing the gear advantage. Most people don't want to be "superman" they just want some good even PvP. You may enjoy stomping new 50s, most of us aren't so opposed to challenging and enjoyable gameplay.
  20. There's a problem with your logic OP, you assume people who have gear should have an advantage, or that people PvP in order to obtain gear and said advantage. Many players enjoy a challenge and gear disparity ruins that, be it in their favour or against. This isn't a complaint against expertise specifically, but it's the largest factor. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing my full BM char in my guild premade, but only when we come across another premade. Stomping ungeared pugs is NOT fun. Most pre-50 games are on equal footing gear and organisation wise, so it's all skill. Should we have to grind for end game PvP gear? No, this isn't PvE where there's a bigger boss waiting in the next instance. PvP rewards should be aesthetics and other forms of recognition. If bioware really want to keep the gear sets separate add in a blue entry level 50 set (like the one they removed) with mass expertise, and give BM gear the same amount. That way everyone is on equal footing still.
  21. So wrong. With a few AC exceptions (conc ops for example) classes have all their key abilities by the mid twenties. If you're consistently losing and aren't one of the two or three classes, you just suck.
  22. Because the BM system was designed by a carebear.
  23. Just reroll and pvp 10-49. The game blows at 50.
  24. We still have charge, battering assault, cloak of carnage talent, and defensive styles (for fury)... Not to mention the occasional emergency choke. But hey, less people using my build the better, makes me look more awesome (if that's even possible).
  25. The medal system is fail. As a rule, the more you contribute to winning the fewer medals you get.
