  1. I agree with you on BW taking the easy way out; I have to think that they were somehow forced to do this, since they had a system similar to disciplines in Warhammer Online. Best example of greed triumphs quality. I have played the Rift and GW2 a lot and I enjoyed them a lot, but SW universe is something I like. If SWTOR had the Rift soul system, I would not play any other game =)) I would like, as much as you do, to see some innovation from BW on the talents system, but I doubt it will come anytime soon.
  2. I use it sometime as a gap closer, if I can roll into a cover position. Dose not always work since it seems to be bugged to a degree; very often it will just interrupt movement and not roll into position even if it is close. V.
  3. I am not sure about this; if this was the case, then something similar to the discipline system would have been created initially. One argument that devs pointed out was hustle to balance the hybrids. I can relate to this aspect, I can also understand that the hybrids were not expected, however, my question still stands: what is the point of advanced classes since every difference between current advanced system classes can be absorbed by the disciplines. V.
  4. Could anyone clarify something for me? Maybe it has been covered, but here goes nothing: With the introduction of disciplines I see no point for advanced classes. My basis for this is the that without the talent trees there are no more hybrids, which was the whole point of the tree system. I like my scoundrel/operative to be able to dps and heal as support, but with the discipline system this seems a very hard thing to do. Now, with the discipline system, it seems to me that the roles will be much better defined removing this whole hybrid situation, and from what I saw until now, there is no hybrid discipline for any of the presented classes. Am I missing something? V.
  5. BW bugs at their finest. They fix a new thing and break 10 others This is what happens when software is driven by sales departments (I should know as a fellow developer)
  6. Actually Taugrim was not the one to come up with TTK, he just spread the word. Also, what class are you? I find the 1vN lines complete lies and trolls. I am a shield speced vanguard and I can tell you that now that means squat. I used to shield my healers in warzone, now I do not do that because there is no reason. One lone marauder does a lot of damage to my guarder healer and me without breaking a sweat, that is not right. You should ask your fellow friends how hard is it to guard someone these days and you'll get a very simple answer: guard? who does that anymore? I chose a tank class for the support part not for the big numbers, I leave those to kids; and now I cannot do the role that I speced into. No problem, soon I'll have a complete combat tech set and go tactics and also healers should go dps and then see the outrage that there are no healers in the game. The current state of the PvP fights is a joke, it resembles the games in WoW arenas or BGs where a rogue can (or could ... I left WoW 2 years ago and lost track) burst you down if you have your trinket on CD. The pvp in the game was advertised as medium paced and not a 5sec fight; granted that almost no class can kill you in 5 sec (maybe 8sec) but the outcome is decided in those 5 sec by the burst capabilities of your opponent and we all know that burst is not equal for all classes.
  7. If this would happen to me I'd be glad; if I would be rooted for an "eternity" (lets say the whole game) it means that every possible JK/SW would focus me and my teammates would be free to win the game. Also, I get that exaggeration is a big part of QQ threads, but lets keep it real at least. Like anyone said, all classes have a slow/snare of some-kind, that is no reasons to complain so much ... should I also ask to nerf the Imps on my server because when my vanguard joins Huttball I am number one focus? This kind of threads are the reason for the birth of TTK in 1.2.
  8. I decide with the following algorithm: 1. Healer that performed well 2. Healer that performed medium and with low medals 3. If there were no healers in the game, the player with the least medals so he can gear up and perform better (it is still a gear dependent game, the faster people gear, the better for me too).
  9. After the patch I can confirm that the commendations income is slightly better. As you said, you are a healer, but for dps/tanks it's a it harder since we tend to use medpacs like junkies. As a biochemist I switch to using the inferior reusable medpacs and even paid a ridiculous amount of credits to craft rakata medpac. I think what is a bummer is that on loosing matches, if you stay until the end, you can consume so many medpacs that when you draw the line your income can be negative.
  10. It has some bugs. The most annoying is related to client-server lag. What I mean is that for some reason, the pull is related to the target's position not the position the game reports to you, the vanguard. In some way it makes sense, but it is hard to predict the lag difference between you and the enemy player Like before, there are some core bugs with the vanguards that still need addressing. One of them would be the slow on Pulse Cannon granted by Pulse Generator Tactics talent: it does not work at all
  11. You might activate it before accepting the queue invite. And use it for the 1st two minutes of the warzone.
  12. And still no official post of at least letting us know they are gathering data ..... they must care so much and cherish our opinion that

You can right click the ship droid and he will answer with the same snappy texts you were used to.
  14. I would give it time if they would be open minded to reverting the expertise gains to what it was before 1.2 or at least make the dps gain equal to damage reduction gain; just the expertise, not the endurance (which was lowered) or any other stat.
  15. Why should I be concerned? I do not mean a 1v1 fight to last 5 minutes, but not 8 sec either. You have to admit that the DPS increase from expertise is not good when the defense gain remained the same. Also being a tank and meaning nothing means that something went haywire with this patch. I am a vanguard and switched to 0/23/18 spec and saw pwertech tanks melt under my fire power, I do not like it; before 1.2 I tested he same build and they stood a chance, now the same targets are melting like butter, something is not right. I am not crying foul for the class changes, they were justified for some, even for vanguard assault spec (even if they overdid it with the 6 sec internal cooldown on HiB), but the expertise change affected all and I am afraid that this was not tested properly or if it was then it means it was intentional. Should this be the case, they should have notified the players that the design team wishes to go on this direction so those against it could know in advance and go quest for the MMO they feel they should play. If I remember correctly, in some of their videos before release they said they wish PvP fights to last a bit longer, that is what made me buy this game mostly than the lore; now they take that away without any detailed explanation.
