  1. >.> <.< I cant decide if you're serious or not. Its funny either way.
  2. Hardcore players... about less than 2 percent of all players. Hardcore pvpers.... less than 1 percent of all players. Hardcore RP'ers... Less than 1 percent human, who cares. I can make arbitrary meaningless statements too.
  3. they are changing the medal system... if you ever read a dev blog... or a dev tracker, you would know that. Just sayin...
  4. Its all gone horribly. horribly wrong. I was translating an ancient summerian cruciform text, when I came acrossed a passage that speaks of the one game that will rule them all. Using delicate translation tools, and mah cat, Buffy I was able to determine that this game will release on December 21, 2012. Coincidence. I think not. Now pardon me, I must go add tinfoil to my hat.
  5. Not true. As Biochem stims are substantially better than anything bought. They sell well, extremely well. Way better than anything my Cybertech, Artificer, Armormech, or Synthweaver can produce. Further, you seem to have simply looked into your crystal ball and determined that anything they do to biochem will equate to bad. Since I have yet to see patch notes. It might be premature. Just a little.
  6. In college, I had a calculus problem that read almost exactly like this. It gave me hives for a week, and eventually caused an emotional breakdown I never recovered from. Just sayin....
  7. It never ceases to amaze me, how someone can give calm, reasonable answers. Explain things, in a way that make absolute sense, and have a chunk of people run for the hills screaming the sky is falling. That being said... I got 50 bucks for ya, if you email me the patch notes early.
  8. I think its great that you are making it easier for preforms to get into pvp. But honestly what worries me is Ilum. Heres my problem: Essentially you released an open world pvp zone that was poorly thought out, poorly designed and poorly implemented. It lacks all the fundamentally good aspects of Warhammer Lake PvP (or RvR if it pleases you.) and basically acts like a generic, static, horribly laggy and buggy zone where people can farm one more daily for armaments. Thats my general complaint. Not helpful. Heres my specific complaint. Which should be more helpful. 1) Entering into the pvp zone triggers quests to appear in my logs. Completing those quests is utterly pointless as it provides a buff, and nothing else. Why are ilum objectives in my quest log? Those types of objectives in the neverending, not really finishable quests dont need to be clogging my quest log. 2) Objectives are pointless. As above, the objectives are pointless. The zone is a giant iceball with a bunch of pretty lasers pew pewing back and forth. But what are we actually doing on Ilum? Theres no bases to assault. Not really. Get too close to them, and you get insta gibbed. I mean, you guys apparently brought over all the guys from Mythic. Did you happen to fire the good ones? Because the Lake RvR had great objectives. Flipping the zone was worthwhile. The objectives were fun. Even being outnumbered and trying to forlornly hold a keep was entertaining. You couldnt make ilum fun with a horde of twilek strippers and free booze. Is this the kind of open world pvp we can look forward too, in Star "Wars"? Because somewhere along the way, you lost the war part. 3) Warzones: I like most of the warzones.... but honestly, you have three basic variants. Rush, Capture and defend, and football. Ironically as much as people complain about Huttball, I think it came out the best. The Civil War was a good idea, but its.... so horridly boring. The map is tiny, and the amount of strategies you can use could be written on a single page. Its boring. I dont want it to be. But it is. Voidstar has so many issues its not even funny. Incidently, who thought it would be entertaining to force people to wait behind a shield for 20 seconds? Smack that person. Worse game mechanic ever, in the history of bad game mechanics. But essentially its just a zerg fest. And its so easily defended its not funny. One ranged person in the middle can prevent bomb plants all day long. I guess, my point is.... the mechanics for the warzones arent that exciting. Star Wars has always been epic. Bioware has always created epic, sweeping games. I had hoped that the pvp would feel.. well.. epic. Seige wars. Objective combat in warzones, not back to the standard capture the flag done in seventeen variants. I guess, Im just looking to voice a few concerns. I like the game, and Im looking forward to see where you take it.
  9. I sense... pepper spray, tasers, and handcuffs in your future..... Possibly a restraining order.... Clouded in the darkside, you are.
  10. I dont have those issues. My worst framerates come from mass group pvp, and all the spell effects. Clearly not a game engine issue, but a video card issue. So.....
  11. Back in the days, finding a guild to raid with that wasnt lead by some ego maniac and his little core group of flunkies was all but impossible. That being said, public opinion swung from grouping to I hate grouping. It will eventually find middle ground, when people grow up.
  12. So.... I couldnt really answer that question after the first month. Well I could, but I honestly couldnt really tell you much other than I didnt know enough to answer it. So heres where I stand now. I have Four Toons to fifty. Working on my fifth one. Ive leveled them all to valor fifty at least, pre patch.. (now its effortless) Ive played pvp, Ive done hard modes, and Ive raided EV and KP. Its not a huge list of accomplishments, but its enough to get a feel for the game. Of course, I have eight hours or so per day to play. Most of you dont. Heres a few of the things I learned. 1) The way you level your toon, is not the way you play your toon in groups. 2) The way you play your toon pre fifty is not the way you play it post fifty. 3) This can and often does drastically change the build and playstyle of your toon. Those three things alone, mean that honestly, its taken me leveling up that many toons just to find one I want to consider my "main". And even then with the final one in the works, its not set in stone. Ilum. I still fail to see the point in it. It is without a doubt, the worst designed, most poorly implemented failure of an open world pvp zone I have ever seen. Ever. Mind you, I dont want it to be, It just is. They took every bad aspect from Warhammer, and slapped it into this game without taking any good aspects of it. That entire team should be taken out, summarily caned, and forced to dress/talk like Jar Jar binks for all eternity. Same goes for whoever designed the gear for the IA/Smuggler's. That being said, knowing there are issues and problems with the game. Would I continue to subscribe? Yes. Absolutely. I see positive responses in the changes, I see good patches coming out (although we simply MUST talk about your downtimes.) My two cents.
  13. I never said I was sith. I said, I was imperial.... /que imperial march. /que stealth noise. /que hiddenstrikeofroflpwnfacedeathfrombehindwhilesmackinthatallonthefloorsmackthattillyouscreammore Thats right.... Akon's got my back.
  14. Touching on the leveling and time it rquires: The first time, as always, is the most time consuming. I leveled two toons side by side the first time out of the gate. Now, Im working on my fifth fifty. Its not something I would list in my greatest accomplishments, its just not that hard once you know where the hubs and quests lead to. Couple that with knowing when the prime WZ times are, and you can level relatively quick. Although WZ's currently are the slowest way to level.
  15. 1) I dont backstab. Its messy. Thats what lasers and minions are for. 2) I dont undermine anything. I oppress and torture. Its a gift really.
  16. Shouldnt you be rescuing a lost puppy? Or maybe helping an elderly jedi carry his groceries in?
  17. Thats part of the problem though. Bioware did communicate. Its been up there, in black and white since before launch. They told you how it was going to work. Then they gave everyone free time in game that registered. And people STILL go rabid wombat all over the forums. The one constant that is true, is no matter what game comes out, unless its a virtual reality, hands free, comes with its own system, runs without a glitch ever, requires no patching and has insta content, that feeds you, changes you, and gives you a happy ending, people are gonna complain. Loudly. Voraciously. And with great venom. Quite frankly... People are idiots.
  18. Pffft. We have cookies. With dark Sith Chips. Last I heard, you just had Jedi Mocha Lattes.... sith chips, always win.
  19. Its five peices for your set, and bonus. The point was that its not that hard to get a decent amount of cent gear coming straight out the gate. If you banked a bag, and had 1000/1000 then the minute you fifty you can afford your chest and legs. So you are walking in with the 2 peice bonus, and gear thats comparable with Tionese. Forgive me, if I got a little over exuberant in pointing out that its not currently that hard to gear up in basic entry level pvp gear. Edit: Quite frankly, its harder to get Tionese/Columi/Rakata gear than it is to get PvP gear.
  20. Uh no. If you have 1000 wz and 1000 mercs, plus one in your bank thats six. Easily done during the course of leveling up, and still buy an entire fourty set. Both weeklies 3 bags, both dailies give 1. So, six plus six, plus 2 is 14. With no gear tokens, you average 15 cent, 7 champ coms. Math is... 14x15=210, with the average peice costing about 36 comms, coming out to about 5 peices. Thats your entire set of cent gear in one day.... not including the 98 Champ comms you got which will easily buy a peice of gear plus.... So yeah. 1 day. Almost forgot to mention, that doesnt even include the WZ comms you snag along the way of completing your dailies and weeklies in the course of the day. Its possible. Its a 12-16 hour day. It can be done though.
