I'd like to take the time here to thank you for bumping all these threads for us and keeping the subject active.

And thank you for bumping my post and helping me get my point across how silly the QQing over these slots actually is. Keep up the good work buddy!

Hmm I'm curious little buddy why are you not calling out the guy I'm replying to? If I'm trolling shouldnt you call him out for trolling? Or do you only believe those who disagree with you are trolling?

Yes my post may hold nothing of value to poster like you who QQ all day on the forums.

And I also believe your post has no other value than trolling...which is against the rules btw we better fix that.

This thread more than any other deserves to stick on the front page. It starts with Eric saying the slot machines are working correctly, please buy more, don't worry....

Oh look at that another one who has reading issues...I recommend you reading it again because he clearly stated they are hear the complaints and are looking into them.

do you honestly think straight up lying will help your agenda? And people won't call you out for it?

Original loss rate was fine.

Original return coin/ reputation token win was fine.

Original Jawa mat win rate was fine but ratio needs to be altered to 10 green : 4 blue : 1 purple (not the 1:1:1 it was)

Hang on, rethink this a little. Is it perhaps too many blue and green for each purple if you are trying to avoid gluts like the one that exists for blue mats now and avoid making in-the-field gathering irrelevant?

How about 10g:3b:2p instead?

this is very true, eric did say so about complaints and possibly more should be expected. But two thing really, I would like to point out.

1.) We where only complaining about Jawa Junk, nobody had issues with blues(worthless) and greens. So why would any player expect them to go further if they were listening to our complaints?

2.)they completely destroyed the machine to a point where there is no point in playing it, they didn't nerf anything they changed it completely as in it is worthless now.

If the community knew the level of nerf coming the prices would have dropped drastically but CM sales would have also slowed so we see how that worked out lol, BW may have inadvertently caused thousands of us to be ripped off, but that doesn't change the fact we where ripped off or our feelings on the matter.

To be fair there were complaints about selling rep items for crazy amounts, there were complaints about too many Certs, there were complaints about crew skills are worthless now because of slots. These were all beaten to death last week.

I would like to hope not as well, but the way they are handling it, and no comments after the rage in the forums after all the QQ tells me this is all going as planned. If I knew for sure it was bait and switch I wouldn't be here posting as I would already be unsubbed. Let's see how BW fixes this again. SO not accusing BW of anything, but the current batch of "evidence" is not in their favor. lol

You probably would be sitting here, because if you have any remaining days of playing time, you count as subbed.

I should know, I unsubbed yesterday(but have some time left on my account)^^

As for accusing BW - well it is the right of the accused to defend themselves, but there is no right not to be accused if the evidence points at you.

I'm going to accuse you of overreacting and or not actually Unsubbing.

If it was just a concern over jawa junk purchases of level 11 crafting materials, why didn't they just increase the costs of the jawa junk vendor prices accordingly.... no, that would be too simple. If they did that, most wouldn't be complaining, but they took the nerf bat to the slot machine and now my casino with 23 slot machines is a ghost town. I guess PAYING companions to do it or to go out and farm the same zones over and over is our only productive option now. I guess people, who like to run their dailies and weeklies over and over and over again don't want other options. I guess it's okay to reach level 60 and go FARM CREDITS in areas that are not a remote challenge and threat is acceptable, but playing slot machines for payouts is a bad thing, right?

It's an MMO game, the player economy will ALWAYS BE EXPLOITED! As the options change, either the economic giants adjust to it or *****! Looks like the monopolists win this round. LOL!

No, but you woulden't mind if they did, before the change Grade 11 Purple had gone from 50K to much yes, down to below 10K.

Remove Jawa, add something else and change Cartel Certs back.

High end should be "rare" or they can give away 198 Items in the Slot machince too :D

And again, you keep missing the point.

Keep it up, I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually.

I know what he was saying. You missed what I was saying let me clarify. There is zero chance if the main dev opened up a discussion with the forum community it would lead to a constructive conversation. You would need to find a different venue if you truly wanted to have constructive conversation.

Personally I don't think the slots would justify this type of response.

Fair enough.

i was pretty peeved and considered it myself, I take a personal stance irl not to let these type of things to continually happen to me, so it's hard to take something like this here for sure. If not for prior investment and being here so long and all I could see easily how someone could un-sub over this or issues like it, after all when money is involved we tend to think less rationally.

186 gear is not "basic starter gear".

I disagree; the clue's in the name of the comms it costs at the vendor, Basic. :)

Imho Tier 192 and above are the luxury items, and only need to be available to people achieving a set of objectives at a certain challenge level.

But it makes perfect sense for crafted 186 to be obtainable with a relative ease and democratic affordability when the game itself considers it to be the baseline level 60 tier.

Wrong. You use a false argument. The types of comms do not denote the type of item.

186 gear is a luxury item. The baseline for level 60 is the crafted greens which makes even 178 gear a luxury item.

If you aren't doing anything but running around in the world doing dailies, you don't need anything above 168 greens. Anything else is a luxury. You want the luxury, you pay for it.

The way to give more mats into the economy was through the java vendor. It just happens, that the machine was released at the same time. That is, was this post is stating.

You are right but now without the slots, we are back to having only one (proper) way to obtain jawa items and that is via buying Cartel packs. And all of us who have used the slots will either keep the drops for ourselves or bring the price of mats on the gtn back to prices that Bioware themselves admitted were too high.

With that in mind, I look forward to seeing what new idea Bioware comes out with to make mats available to everyone, not just people buying cartel packs to obtain via the jawa vendors or the ugly old fashioned way of broken crew missions.

I think us non rich crafter players should continuously whine about the new drop rates.

I didn't spend all that money on packs to just get a useless decoration, I bought it for the materials and certs. So reset the drop rates as it is affecting us non super crafters very badly.

You can't seriously argue that crafted greens are the "baseline" level for lvl 60 when you are given enough basic comms at the start of Rishii to gear up with a complete set of 186 gear.

And you can't get to lvl 60 without buying the SoR expansion, so everyone has access to that reward of basic comms when they reach lvl 60 (whether they choose to go that route or not is up to them).

That makes the 186 gear the base gear for lvl 60.

L2Craft. It isn't hard. If you don't want to put forth the effort to actually get what you want, that's on you.

Crafting isn't about dumping coins into a slot machine. Send your companions on missions and leave your stronghold to gather green mats.
