  1. Yeah, this level shifting sucks. Should be an option, or enabled when I'm grouped with a lower level player, but getting aggro from trash mobs while I run around a low level planet at level 65 because I'm shifted down is crapfest and not fun.
  2. They didn't win with me. I won't buy a Pack again. I pulled my payment methods off my account, and the only reason I'm still subbed is the time card I was given for my birthday before the Slots hit the fan. And as long as they ignore it, it'll remain that way. Others also bailed. BW abused us hard with this. I'm not saying it was perfect when it was released, we knew it needed SOME nerfing. But not the orbital nuke it got. It's completely useless now, good only for if I feel like pissing money away. I'd rather just hand cash to some stranger in fleet.
  3. This. And more this. It's not a matter of detracting from enjoyment. It's that you would be paying cash, actual cash out of your pocket, for an item that ONLY those who are willing to shell out that level of cash are supposed to receive. And I don't think these devs can be trusted to keep to that deal. The song of further cash from those who want the item but don't want to pay out a large upfront fee for the lifetime sub would win out. Maybe you're happy to let people take your money and then walk all over you. That's you. That's not me. If I pay my money that I work hard for for something that's supposed to be exclusive, I'd expect it to remain so. And offering a different color version of the item is infringing on that exclusivity as far as I'm concerned. It's irrelevant anyway. They aren't offering a lifetime sub and there's no promise of any exclusives with one. I'm just saying that if there was, I wouldn't trust them to keep their end of the deal.
  4. I simply wouldn't trust the devs to keep whatever exclusive thing, be it a playable species or whatever, as exclusive. If they can make more cash off it on the CM, they will offer it at some point. But it'll be recolored or something else. Or don't expect them to hold to any promises they make about such. Collector's Edition vendor, anyone?
  5. You are mistaken. Eric did indeed specifically state Jawa Junk.
  6. The only way this story could get better would be if the weather started getting rough.
  7. I know I don't ever touch mine now. Ever. I'm maxed on rep and with the nerf, a loss of nearly 50% of what I put in for a 1 in what, 10? 100? thousand chance at a very mediocre walk isn't remotely worth it. Definitely not what I'd call "a little behind."
  8. You didn't actually understand or comprehend anything I wrote, did you?
  9. And that right there is exactly what the people are raging about. It's why people are calling you guys "mat barons" and gougers. It's artificial inflation. It doesn't have to do with demand it has to do with you guys maximizing profits. I've read about entire guilds claiming that they try and corner markets on some mats, by buying up anything under their price and reselling at the higher price. That has nothing at all to do with the costs to get the mats, or the cost of crew skills. It's only about getting as much credits as possible.
  10. Agreed. I want to know what the deal is as well. We were told initially that it was working as intended and to spend freely, with Jawa Junk going to be looked at. Patch notes and Eric tell us one thing, but the results of the slot machine clearly show much more was done, and much harder than we were led to believe. So what's what? Was this intended?
  11. Hey, I'm not blaming Eric for the nerf from hell. The devs did that. But I'm not going to believe anything he says anymore, either. He lies, or is lied to. Either way, we get bad info. And I am extremely disappointed that neither he nor Tait has at least had anything to say about this yet. Again, not their fault if they haven't been given anything to say, but not good, either.
  12. Nice to see Tait responding about Planetary Comms still being given as quest rewards in some cases, but total silence from BW on this subject.
  13. I already added him to my ignore list, so I'm not even seeing his posts. He just strikes me as Nelson on The Simpsons, standing there going "HA HAA!"
  14. Exactly, this guy's just here to get his troll on.
  15. Wow, that's one hell of an apologist in action here. Slip of the mind? Really? That's the best you can come up with to explain that? Cuz it sure as hell isn't explained there. That's enjoyment.
  16. Are you being deliberately dumb, or is this natural? I really am curious. How is it a typo? Explain that. He said Jawa Junk. Specifically. Nothing else. Right or wrong? He didn't say Jawa Junk and Cartel Certificates. He didn't say Jawa Junk and Assorted Droid Parts. He didn't say Jawa Junk and Scavenged Scrap. He said 1 of those 4. One. But all 4 got nuked. That's not a damned typo, no matter how much you want it to be so you can try and say the people who got screwed here are whining. It just makes you look like an idiot. How much did I lose? $40. Because I waited until word was passed that this was working as intended, that it wasn't broken, that it wasn't an exploit. I waited for confirmation, and then I spent $40 of my real money to buy a crate to get one of these, which is now nerfed into total worthlessness that I wouldn't pay 5 in game credits for. I didn't get it to make a fortune. Just to make my own gear. And I don't give a crap if you buy that or not, because your attitude shows you're a just some elitest douche who enjoys how angry everyone is about this bait and switch crap BW pulled.
  17. Heck of a typo from Scrap to Jawa Junk. That actually seems pretty specific to me. Anyone else think it might be a typo, though? Any one? Didn't think so. Guess your stupidity wins out over all. But props for trying to be an antagonistic ankle biter, well done.
  18. No. What they said was... The Jawa Junk. Nothing else.
  19. Guess it was too long for you to read it all.
  20. They're already down to 1.5 mill on Shadowlands and dropping.
  21. I pulled all of my payment methods off my account tonight. So many ways to handle this. Cut back the drop rate a little to keep it in line with crew missions Limit the number of coins you could play per day Increase the cost of mats from the Jawa vendors And they do THIS? They completely nuke it? Increase the cost per pull by 50%, increase the fail rate entirely to 45% and make all but rep items pretty much ultra-rare? I'd like to think this was a mistake, but I don't believe that, because that, coupled with the complete fails of 3.0 and poorly handled management of the game since then (holidays, lack of responses, lack of bug fixes) would indicate a level of incompetence so extreme it doesn't even bear thinking about. I spent the last few days playing 100K worth of chips a day. Nothing excessive. I used what I got for mats to craft gear for my alts, something I normally don't bother because the cost of purple mats is always so high. Yes, I know, I could run crew missions and get the mats myself! I want to level my alts, you know, when I have time to do so, not a month down the road of sending comps out on missions over and over and over and over and over and over and over... because the return rate sucks. "Do it on your alts, too!" Yeah, I want to do an alt dance of logging in, sending out comps, assigning them all the same crew skills, so I can send them out, logging out and into another toon, repeat over and over. Sure. And people say sitting in front of the slot machine isn't playing the game?? But that's all irrelevant and I just know people will come in here to tell me "You're doing it wrong! lrn2play noob!" Anyway, so I spent the last few days actually crafting gear for my alts because I could do so reasonably. I still actually spent money on mats on the GTN for greens (although 2K CPU when sorting by lowest price per unit for greens? ***??) I loved it. I was finally bothering to craft items again, to go to the trainers for new schems. It was great. Now it's gone because it wasn't just nerfed, it was eradicated from high orbit. E.L.E., baby. Because dealing with the mats being a little too accessible, well, that was just too much to deal with reasonably, even with the suggestions above or those of others. No, let's kill it entirely. And you know what will happen, right? They'll "fix" it in time for the next cartel pack release with a new slot in it. About a week before then, this one will get "fixed." And people will extoll the virtues of it again. And sales will go up when the new one comes out. Then watch out. So, I can't in good faith give them more money. No way, no how. Screw me once and all that. I hope I'm wrong. I hope we finally see a yellow name say "Yeah guys, we botched it. Hang on while we get that fixed." and have them do it in a reasonable time. But I'm not gonna hold my breath, either. These are the same people who said: Jawa Junk. No other drops mentioned, no Certs mentioned. And they gave us what we have today. Changed accordingly? Apparently meant "removed what I mentioned and anything else worthwhile almost entirely". So I removed all methods of payment. Let them hear that concern. I encourage others to do the same.
