honestly guys social media is your friend here, get on reddit, twitter and facebook and start spreading some bad PR for EA/BW. You aren't going to get anywhere on their official forum page, other than get a few chuckles from some staff members as they read it. It's pretty lame on their part and poorly handled they aren't clean on this at all

Second all this, I earned the achievement/chapter the first time and the problem people have with this is just plain silly and why we lose so many players over time. BW didn't just decide to release items previously exclusive, they made a mistake, dangled a really cool carrot in front of a lot of people who seen it for the first time, then BW was like "woops we may let you guys have this since we made a mistake", that is what happened. Them doing damage control is all this was, yet all you QQers are acting like they are logging your accounts and handing out your stuff it's sad and pathetic really. Most vets have so many items noobs will ever see, and IMO a major downfall SWTOR always has had. Items should be rare and hard to get, but time locked is always lame. I as a completionist would not even start a game where a lot of items are impossible to get for new people, and I know a lot of gamers like me. It's no surprise our numbers keep shrinking BW panders to the wrong base continuously, while other games whole heartily endorse and support their casuals, you reap what you sow

Wow people really??? People whining about exclusive items I think can chillax here, tons of exclusive items exist so only but those "pure" could ever get 100%, why all the hate for these coming back because bioware clearly made an oopsie once again? I could imagine a lot of people genuinely thought that event was real and new not an old one, but the current one, I imagine quite a few new players where duped, screw them right who needs them? You guys bemoan this game dying constantly never truly realizing you are the very cancer killing it, let people be happy and they may actually continue playing but huh what do I know let the epen contest continue, mines bigger btw:D

the thing about those quest that makes them so hard to group for, especially for a new person, is the fact they are so old content wise that all of us vet players have long ago done them on all our mains and alts already and we have zero incentive to ever do them again. Best bet is finding a guild most guilds i have seen will help you get holocrons (need 4+ people for some of these and most vets already have as well) and these quests are norms getting help wise in most guilds.

I realize this BW does too, the money still needs to be tracked, those who abused it perma banned. They can't erase all of it ofc but they should find out who exploited it very easily and follow what money trails they can from there. I at least want to see some bans before I put my pitchforks and torches away

yes plenty, don't remember specific dates on them, but yes we have had them before.

i am doing well off of mats as well, i still don't have the cash to clear out the entire GTN of all hypercrates. I am a very heavy user of the GTN, I do allot of trading ^^, I watched as ALL the hypercrates disappeared. One min I had 15+ pages, next refresh was like 3 mins later and half where gone, thought something was wrong refreshed again almost instanly and every single crate was gone, so please dont try and BS me it's not because of the augs/mats, this is because people instantly made billions in minutes not millions in a day. The damage is done, our only hope is BW tracks all the dirty money and deletes it and perma bans all those involved. I have no sympathy for any involved, every single one knew they were cheating and risked it anyway.

and it was so massively exploited every single hyper crate and platinum item was snatched up by these low lifes. We just now got a few pages back in our gtn that had dozens of pages just days ago and all prices are insane high, it's double/tripled on most hypercrates and plats. They did this to launder the money, they learned well from how BW handled last exploit why they should have got perma bans last time. We are talking billions upon billions here and besides one comment from eric and a half arsed fix on the vendor being exploited by imps we hear nothing but crickets coming from BW it is absurd!!

Twitter is silent too, are they really pretending this hasn't been happening for days now? I don't even want to play right now knowing these people are still having a blast at OUR expense, *** really BW??

BW , Eric , someone????? How have we not heard anything from anyone supposedly running this game. They are about to lose another round of subs to an already limping game yet no news anywhere. At least acknowledge you guys are aware and are working towards a solution this just can't be swept under the rug. People need to be more upset, just because these problems have a history doesn't mean they get an automatic get out of jail free card, good lord people get the pitchforks and torches already......seriously make me proud:mad:

Legacy bank is exactly what they said it was going to be, I for one like this route better than sending mails all the time between alts.

I have played since being a beta tester and have seen many things evolve over the years, after a small break due to rl issues I have come back to some pretty big changes. My old guild apparently died and after the mega merge going through my alts I found one with GM rights to an old Guild I almost forgot about. We have a guild ship already just need people. I am already helping out a few friends start over to get back in the game, so I am thinking why not help other people returning and people completely new as well. So anyone wanting help to figure out how to get back into TOR or you are just new and trying to figure it all out let me know here and we can meet up on fleet. Thanks.

i dunno. guess it depends on your server, back in the day I was always annoyed having to clear my mail box of at least a dozen different gold farmers selling money and their 1 credit attached(before f2P). Would get them throughout game play always assumed it was spam, not a GTN sale like now. These days I get maybe one once a week from the same freaking seller over and over, everytime I get mail i know I made a sale at GTN, quite the difference for me. Truth be told we had loads more people back in the day, and with more people come more farmers, when people go farmers go.

I guess I am with the minority not minding GC, I guess it's all about your personal perspective on it. GC has great potential , I think group content needs love separate from GC altogether. Like add some new deco drops and gear shells you can't get anywhere else just a thought. After the 28 if nothing breaks it should be a huge improvement for a lot of us vets, as our toons will truly be able to help each other and GC will churn out UP instead of cxp. The more they improve GC people will slowly come around, change is always hard to accept until you see how much better it is, humans are weird.

correct, it's going to be mailed to us like most other promo items, once active all toons get it you don't have to activate it for each server when you turn codes in

As a long time player since the beginning I understand what you are trying to say, but I do not agree with it. It took me awhile to adjust to it, but GC is a really good start for a lot of things. Pre-GC once you maxed your level it was just a pure gear grind like many failed mmos prior and past that there really weren't to many carrots on the end of the stick, if you get me. After GC just having another focus with the added system technically adds 100s more levels to the game to progress in, awesome. As stated by someone before here, the grind before was boring, jesus how many times do we repeat the same things over and over again just to progress a little each time. It was fun at first but it got old quick, with GC now it adds new elements other than just going out repeating the same stuff daily I can actually sample a lot of what the game provides in terms of content instead of running the same content over and over. I think maybe you are just seeing things a different way, when they wrap things up the 28 the game will be ours to play how we want to, and after years of playing the same ol same ol I welcome it and hope they continue on. We can make the debate on group content players needing more incentives now, with that I will actually agree, but the current path of the game is freaking awesome and I for one approve.

they should have just let the slot machine that give them out get a softer nerf than they did. Was way OP when first come out, hell I still have 200 cert left , but once every blue moon if it still gave out a cartel cert people would still be coming to my stronghold and others just to use the slot machines, now they are just decor.
