The Official Armor Wishlist Thread

Recommended Posts

A poncho. A bit like the base tempest warden one, but without the backpack and imperial pauldron. A good role model would be the classical gunslinger one worn by the man with no name in the Dollar trilogy. Ideally this would come in two versions for the chestpiece; one worn regularly and one with the front flap thrown back over one shoulder to expose the sidearm.

The rest of the set other than the chestpiece is of less importance, similarly themed with cowboy boots (preferably with spurs) and thin/half-finger, discrete gloves would be good.

Dear Bioware Developers,

A great cartel market set idea based on Star Killers Dark Apprentice robes from Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2. With and without the hood. For all who don't know what I am talking about. It is the set that Star Killer as Vader's Apprentice wears. Just a thought for a good set idea or something similar to it. Just think we have been lacking some good Sith outfits lately with Dark marauder as the exception.

Hello!

Its official now! With 7.0 we will get one of the most unique armor sets from one of the most iconic characters in the whole game! Valkorion itself! And thats why I will re-quote myself and will ask again: Please Bioware, add these NPC-armors from my list into the game so we can get them!

If we already can get one of THE most unique armors it really shouldn't be a problem to add more NPC armors for us!

This is a list of some absolutely amazing armors some of the SWTOR NPCs are wearing. I put it a little bit in order and made it more clear to read. Every one of these suggested armors has a link to it and can be watched via 3D model. Jedipedia (the source I'm using) is especially nice since it shows exactly what NPC and armor I'm talking about and has their color-dyes in the bottom right, which is especially important since the right dye gives the armor half of its awesomeness. Thats why I strongly suggest that BW gives us the armors in their original dyes. If you think they don't fit into the CM @BioWare, then here are a few different options to bring these armors into the game: make them craftable or buyable via planet vendors, put them in crates like you did with the 5.0 armors or put them on gear vendors for highend gear like you did with the 6.0 set items, so we can get the cutomization shells :)

Since I'm asking (literally begging :rak_03:) for years now for these armors, I will include some reasons to each of the armors why I think they're so important to get as a player character. I personally think that now it's the best time for BioWare to jump over their shadow and just put all these suggested armors below into the game for players to use since we get more and more iconic and unique armor's from Lore-Characters from KOTOR or NPCs that are relevant to the current story (Tau Idair, Rass Ordo etc). It shouldn't hurt them to make these armors from NPCs below obtainable too since, as I said, they are amazing! :)

  • Kellian Jarro's armor [in its original dye] (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/kellian-jarro) IMPORTANT or at least his original and unchanged chestpiece since the rest of his armor is obtainable more or less through random drops. The full set would be appreciated though.

One of my absolute favorites. It fits perfectly for a Jedi. It literally pictures the Jedi as an unstoppable force of nature with a dominant half plate armor but still has a majestic look thanks to the cape. This is how a Jedi thats fighting everyday in a war (exactly our timeline) should look like. Its very clean and simple but still looks absolutely strong and awesome. Could even fit a mandalorian. I'm pretty sure there would be many players wanting this armor if it would be available for CC because many people picture their Jedi-Knight (or even Sith with the right color-dye) more as a fighter.

  • Jaric Kaedan's original chestpiece from the ambitious warrior Cartel Market picture (https://ibb.co/1XqHyVN) IMPORTANT

Since it's unlikely that the chestpiece from the ambitious warrior set that we can get through the CM gets changed because many people already bought it, I really would like to see that we get Jaric Kaedan's original chestpiece added in a seperate way. As we can see in the CM picture above, we were supposed to get that armor piece anyway but somehow the model we can equip is a different one. I already made a bug report regarding this topic. Please add the in the link above mentioned chestpiece!

  • General Durant/Faraire/Minst's armor from Sith Warrior Taris Questline [in its original dye] (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/de/npc/general-durant) / General Frellka's armor (its the same, just without shoulder pats) IMPORTANT

This armor set is amazing for Troopers (or even Smugglers), especially since we are getting higher and higher in ranks with our soldiers as the story progresses and this armor pictures the soldier as a high ranked Trooper quite well. It's very simple and oldschool-looking. Can be seen here https://ibb.co/5F394Q7 and here https://ibb.co/fvkDq9T

The best version imo is the one without the "pack" with the antenna on the back, because then we can see the republic sign on the back. We definitely need this one since it looks absolutely amazing!

  • Grand Marshal Chekettas chestpiece [in its original dye] (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/de/npc/grossmarschall-cheketta) IMPORTANT

This set is my favorite when it comes to Troopers. The moment I saw this NPC in the Balmorra empire planet questline I knew we had to get this set. We can literally imagine our soldiers as a battle-proven Leader with it (which he should be by now, especially after Yavin 4 questline). I'm absolutely begging for a couple of years now for this armor set and its dye, and I really hope BioWare will bring it into the CM or make it available otherwise. It also seems like it uses a Redbrown/Tawny colordye. We really need this.

Another thing I have to say about this armor: There are already 3 similiar looking armorsets in the game, and every one of these 3 sets is using the same chestpiece but sadly, none of these chestpieces (Hazardous Recon, Republic Containment Officer and Section X armor set) looks like Cheketta's chestpiece (the chest of Cheketta's chestpiece can be dyed vertical, the ones we have can be dyed horizontal only). Here's his armor/chestpiece: https://ibb.co/NscKswh. Compare it to the existing ones and you will see the difference. I really wish we could at least get one that features Cheketta's real chestpiece.

  • The belt from the old lvl 50 (imperium side) Battlemaster Forcemystic/Master armor in its original form/color from the Dread Master set (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/dread-master-raptus-13), to be specific: https://ibb.co/PgLF2Yg IMPORTANT

Since the armor is still ingame via schematics, the belt altough isn't. This piece I absolutely need to see available again. Besides that belt, I really would like to see the other battlemaster class belts from lvl 50 in their original form/color back too, since they were only available through the PvP boxes back then and are gone forever. (The original Sith Warrior BM belt for example)

Another way to solve this would be to make the old armors from launch legacy-bound, since quite literally every armor nowadays is already legacy-bound. BW doesn't need to hurt the uniqueness of this set and old veterans who got these armors back then. Veterans could also just send them from character to character for transmogg reasons.

  • Darth Vilus chestpiece (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/darth-vilus).

It's literally the same as the chestpiece from the lvl 50 Battlemaster/Dread Master set, but without the shoulder pats. Chestpieces like that are always appreciated among players, especially Sith Inquisitors since it gives the player variety and make the character look more powerful because of its awesomeness.

  • The Dread Master Masks. These from Raptus, Bestia, Styrak etc.

I saw many threads over the years from players asking for these masks and I think it would be reasonable to just put some of them (or a very close version) on the CM. One could say it hurts the uniqueness of the Dread Masters, but we already got 3 different Revan sets, 2 different Malgus sets and several iconic armor sets from old Sith (like Exar Kun) too, so why not?

  • Marren Atmas armor (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/marren-atma)

This is a very cool looking Republic Soldier armor without shoulder pats. Another example of how very simple looking chestpieces without shoulder pats can look absolutely amazing.

  • Republic Soldier armor (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/republic-soldier-36) // Republic Special Forces chestpiece/armor like from the Ghost (Trooper Storyline, https://swtor.jedipedia.net/de/npc/geist) + both color dyes.

Again a very simple but amazing looking armor set for soldiers. We got many trooper sets over the time but all of them are either shining and blinking or too bulky/roboter style'ish. The two above mentioned are very clear and classy, exactly what we are missing.

  • Shariss Kartur's armor. (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/de/npc/shariss-kartur) // Senior Agent Zane's armor (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/senior-agent-zane).

An absolutely incredible looking SID armor for every Smuggler who wants to RP as a "spy/SID"-like character. I'm still wondering why we have no real equivalent to the dozens of imperial agent/officer armors for the Republic side.

I realized that 90% of this armor is already ingame, its called "Turncoat Armor Set". Sadly BioWare changed the chestpiece and removed everything nice on it to a simple shirt. So what I really would like to see is that we can get the unchanged chestpiece in its original color like the rest of the "Turncoat Armor Set" somehow, because its obviously the best piece of this set.

  • SIS-Assassin's armor (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/sis-assassin)

Pretty much the same as Shariss Kartur's armor above but with some slight changes. I really like this version of the armor set tho because it pictures our character more like a "dark assassin", because the armor has a darker dye compared to Shariss Kartur's set.

  • Hood-up version of the "ambitious warrior"-chestpiece (https://orcz.com/SWTOR:_Master_Ters)

This is a great armor for a simple looking Jedi. Besides that, players were asking for a hooded version of the ambitious warrior-set for years, especially one for females that goes over the belly like we can see on Cala Brin (Google)

  • Syo Bakarns original belt + armor dye (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/master-syo-bakarn). UPDATE: Set available besides a few things, see below!

This is an absolutely amazing set for all kind of Jedi. We got a slightly different version (Command Crate version: https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/nomar-organa).
So far, everything besides the armor dye and the belt is available at this point for players, thanks for that, BioWare! We just need the exact dye for his armor and the changed version of his belt now (without the huge "hip protection" on the back and the two bags) to make it complete.

  • Shol Bestros armor dye (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/master-bestros)

  • A dye slot for the Resplendent Crown of Avarice would also be appreciated.

  • Captain Qonbla's chestpiece (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/captain-qonbla)

Trooper Trainer on the rep fleet. This chestpiece is just awesome. Again its actual chestpiece/set is already ingame but again this one is without shoulder pats. It brings a little bit of a "barbarian"-flair to the character.

  • Ceta Farr's chestpiece (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/de/npc/ceta-farr)

Mandalorian Hunter armor set just with the "jetpack" on the back. Makes the character look more like a "Commander Mandalorian".

  • Darth Skotias corrected legs, chestpiece + belt (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/de/npc/darth-skotia).

This one saddens me, because I was one of the strongest beggers as the CM launched for his armor and was so happy and excited as BioWare made it obtainable through the CM but then realised they gave the armor Darth Skotia's name but in fact they changed some pieces. I think since we also can see this armor (in a different color) in the Sith-Warrior progression video we really should get the exact version of his armor here and not like a "scuffed" version of it. For Tau Idair's armor for example we got the exact same armor set, but here on a less "unimportant" NPC set we have a different belt, a different chestpiece (hood on the back missing) and different legs. I really would like to see the set updated or the exact one available in the CM.

  • Tython Jedi Knight armor (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/master-quilb).

Ever ran through Tython and took a look at all the Jedi there in their awesome robes/armors and wished you would be able to wear this set? Me too! At least the changed gloves and a hood-down version of the robe since the rest is already available.

  • Orgus Din's/Sedoya Senn's armor dye (https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/orgus-din / https://swtor.jedipedia.net/en/npc/sedoya-senn)

I know it's not an armor suggestion, but rather the dye I would love to see inGame obtainable. We can pretty much get the same armor via the starter planet as a Jedi Knight, though we never were able to get the same color dye yet. I think this armor set + its dye fits the picture of an early Jedi in SWTOR pretty good, besides that it looks absolutely stunning. I just love the idea that my Jedi could look the same as some of the Tython Jedi NPCs/Story Jedi NPCs.

  • Charged Hypercloth Force Expert armor without shoulder pats (https://game-guide.fr/96258-swtor-cathars/)
Again a very clean, simple looking armor and again without shoulder pats :rak_03:. I'm sure something like this can suit many people's likes too.

Tython Jedi Knight armor

How ancient is this list?! (Relnex's Robes/Battleborn)

Anyway, does Bioware even read this thread? I'm going to ask for basically an all-black version of the Revered Master Robe, with somewhat bulkier pants. a.k.a. Darth Maul's full Phantom Menace Robe! With the cloak. But keep the hood down, unless you do like the Jedi Knight Revan set and provide hood up and down versions. But I imagine that would be expensive.

The only good pictures I can find of Darth Maul's robe are from action figures and such, which are thankfully quite detailed. Darth Maul has the closest thing to a perfect Sith Robe than I can imagine. The belt as you can see is quite different from the one on the Steadfast Master or Revered Master Robes. I can't use either belt on my dyed black Revered Master robe. Steadfast clips through everything except its own set, and Revered has the shiny part part that sticks out like a sore thumb. I'm currently using Balance Combatant's Sash, which is good but not perfect.

This is what I'm looking for.

DqdpvmK.jpg

But, don't put the gloves over the robe, please.

I'd say most of the model work was done already, thanks to the aforementioned Jedi robes. If there's a way to maybe take the Revered Master's cloak, put it on the Steadfast robe, make it all black, and change the belt to Maul's, that would satisfy my needs. It wouldn't necessarily be a perfect Maul match, but it would still look pretty slick.

How ancient is this list?! (Relnex's Robes/Battleborn)

Its actually pretty up to date, and if you had checked the link to that suggestion more accurate, then you would have noticed that there is a pretty big difference to the relnex and battleborn armor, and thats why I'd listed it as a wish.

Things (I) need from the Book of Boba Fett series so far:

1. Fennec Shand outfit. Seriously, why isn't this already a thing I can buy?

2. Fennec Shand's sniper rifle. When equips/draws, the tracer probe will come out and float beside our toon.

3. Master Assassin title.

4. The two dresses Garsa wore. We need more sexy dresses with good taste.

5. The black and red Tusken outfit.

6. Gaffi stick staff weapon.

7. The chef droid in episode 4 as a stronghold deco to bought from the Feast Vendor.

8. The "cyborg red eyes" and other cybernetic mods as CM cosmetic items/packs. Can use this chance to give other races an option to put some cybernetic bits on, something I know a lot of players want (never understand why cyborg is a "race" to begin with lol).

Asked here before and relatively recently, but adding Named Dreadmaster masks on CM would be super appreciated by alot of players, from just non-raiders to those who want even more immersive DM cosplays and specific masks.

Alien Disguise Mask [Keldor, Duros, Kubaz, Rodian, etc.] (Helmet)

Here's a solution for players who want to play with non humanoid face aliens.

And before such players read this thread and start yelling: "Why this and not just making them playable species~"... In case you missed the many times; the Devs already confirmed they ARE NOT adding playable species that do not have humaniod bodies/faces/proportions and such, nor species who doesn't speak basic. (and they have aceptable reasons for that)

Still I found a solution to this:

If we get an adaptative armor helmet that replaces your head with that of a Keldor, Duros, Kubaz, Rodian, etc. players can still have their characters be those aliens they want to be, a voice modulation would help them sound more like them in scenes and as the item is a helmet it would still be able to be hidden during kissing scenes.

For species like Kel'dor whose hands are different:

https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/sw...20101130214025

The helmet could also hide the gloves and display the respective alien hand models (already in game).

This would be an awsome addition to the CM, that would also improve character customization.

:sy_bountyhunter:

One armor that would be really cool to see would be the Mandalorian armor that the NPCs in the game wear. With the heavy helmet, heavy belt, heavy chest with shoulder pad and jet-pack.

We've been wanting this armor for quite a while as said on this post from 2016 and still active to this day.

I've got these sorted by class or group

Jedi

  • Padawan's Braid item(that way we don't have to switch hairstyles when no longer a padawan) this item would hide beards and facial hair(since it's meant for when your character's younger)
  • couldn't find a weapons section so I'll just put this idea here a new version of the default saber something like the saberforge(website that makes lightsabers not the place in-game even though that's the item I'm talking about) version, no clunky button, smaller end pieces overall more streamlined, and higher quality textures while maintaining the default appearance of the base lightsaber https://saberforge.com/collections/custom-sabers/products/gladiator

Trooper

this one's a bit longer, you know how people didn't really like the Havoc Squad armor, well I'm recommending a set of five suits to deal with those dilemmas the problems being addressed are as follows

  1. the original suit's helmet looked weird so these 5 would look closer to the trailer helmet
  2. it didn't have the havoc squad symbol, it's the havoc squad armor but doesn't have the symbol so the 5 I'm recommending would have it at the very least on the right shoulder
  3. third point, color, havoc squad's color is a deep orange(orangeish red) not bright red
  4. Fourth, Variance it's not like the entire squad's a demolitions expert they have specialties as such they each need some unique components for their armor, after all, it looks weird if only one person is wearing high-quality armor

as mentioned there would need to be some unique parts I had some ideas for that based on Loacher Films(Youtube) "Crossfire" cinematic

those ideas are as follows

Helmets

  • Meteor(player): Helmet with Sun Visor(the other two won't have it due to their items)
  • Medic(Dorne): No Visor(i'm talking about the sun protection one not the glass), Coms Antenna
  • Sniper(Jorgan): No visor(again i am talking about the sun protection one not the glass one in the helmet), macro binoculars(Crossfire has a visual for that)

Chest

  • Meteor: easiest visual I can describe is a Version of the Stalwart Protector gear(chest strap w/ ammo pouches and pauldron, no backpack)
  • Medic: Medical Backpack(looks like the forward recon Backpack), Star Wars Medical Symbol on chest
  • Sniper: it would have a Scarf(like Jorgans KOTFE Gear)
  • Demolitions(Vik): Looks like the original Cartel Market gear set with the pack containing detonators and a mine on the chest
  • Tech(Yuun): suspenders(like Commander Gree from Episode 3) with coms pack(also displayed in "Crossfire")

Belt

  • Meteor:Ammo Pouches and Grenade Tube(that cylinder on the back)
  • Sniper: Knife on Back
  • Medic: unknown(i didn't have any ideas for this)
  • Demolitions: Grenades
  • Tech: Datapad

Gauntlets/Wrists

  • these wouldn't change that much but the gloves and gauntlets would be separate(because Yuun can't wear gloves but he can wear Wrist components, as such the actual armor would be a wrist piece)

Legs(thighs)

  • Meteor: knife attached to the left leg(Vanguard draws a knife from there) empty holster on right(for the cutscene pistol)
  • Sniper: Rangefinder/Binoculars in a pouch
  • Medic: empty Holster on the right leg(she uses a pistol) and Kolto injector on the left leg
  • Demolition: some kind of detonator or portable launcher
  • Tech: tools(for slicing)

Smuggler

Blaster Resembling the Colt Single Action Army possibly with holster(it's the one people spin so it fits the gunslinger well)

Bounty Hunter

Mandalorian helmets for Aliens, including Zabrak(useful for Akavi so I almost put it under smuggler) and Twi'lek(I've seen fanart for these, and having armor go along the Lekku is an interesting concept)

Sith

Heavy imperial commando Armor for Pierce(for warrior players)

Something that would Suit Ashara for the inquisitor(as of yet I can't seem to find anything)

yes I realize most of this is for companions but part of making the player look good is making their followers look good too

Could we get some Qi'ra-inspired armor? I honestly love all of her costumes, from the fuzzy jacket and skirt to the racy black dress. She has so many great options for smugglers and agents to wear. I really love the skirt/jacket combos.

Darth Bandon's amor from KOTOR, in both the black and silver varieties. The Triumvirate is close, but it's too bulky, lacks the collar, and the legs armor is wrong, but can be simulated with the sith cultist armor legs.

Please, these would likely be easy to include as they are similar to assets already in the game.
