How Much Have You Spent on Cartel Coins?

They may or may not remember it, but that $80 grants them a chance at physical interaction with another human being. Sitting home and playing this game virtually guarantees that's not going to happen.

You say that like it's a BAD thing. The majority of the people who post on these forums are human beings, and I wouldn't want to be within earshot of them, much less physically interact with them.

People suck. It's best to avoid them completely when possible.

I've spent zero.

Hell I'm thinkin of canceling my acct and goin F2P.

I have a F2P WoW acct and enjoy that just fine.

People can spend their money on anything they want as long as it is THEIR money.

I don't want to hear stories about people selling food stamps to by virtual crap though.

I wont give an exact amount but I will say it is over £80 and to be honest, I actually feel like I have wasted every penny of it on these ***** packs. In fact, I will not be spending any more money on cartel coins ever again. I only spent so much because I could not stop myself. The only way to stop myself was to run out of money, or I would have bought a lot more :( Edited by Garanaga

Normally we(Myself, my wife, and two teens are all subbed) would only spend the free Cartel coins we get monthly on packs. Today, because the 13th was my wife's birthday and I can't seem to stop buying her gifts(no, not rich, just budget well:P), I bought her $50.00 worth of coins so she can open the 24 packs.

She loves opening them and has ALWAYS loved her in game fluff in the MMO's we play. So this one time it was well worth it:)

I pay my sub and I have spent $0 on cartel coins and I never will spend money on them. If I ever feel that spending real money on top of my sub for cartel coins is becoming necessary to play the game I will move on. I should say "when" and not "if" because I feel that it will happen sooner or later.

When the packs first came out I splashed quite a lot on them.

I managed to sell the items I didn't want to raise enough to fund buying the next pack items I wanted with in-game credits.

However occasionally I still buy a bunch of coins when the packs have been out for a while because I get more enjoyment opening a whole load of packs than I would spending the equivalent amount on some other leisure activity, which is probably bad but ah well.

I think I've spent between $60 and $80 since I bought in incremients of $20 a few times, mainly when I saw something I wanted or if I bought legacy things I didn't want to splurge my credits on like rocket boots. I tried several of the packs in the beginning and my bad luck with such things has continued into swtor, lol. Never did get anything I wanted or could even sell so I stopped. With this set I'm going to buy and sell a few packs so I can buy anything I may want off the gtn, probably that black speeder with the spine on it, I forgot the name.

I am curious with the Enforcer 24 pack how much rep have people obtained and how many of the market tokens/tickets did you get. It seems buying them to get enough rep you could purchase the item you are after except my guess is you would need to be extremely lucky to get up to 10 of the items to purchase say the command throne.

Just curious if anyone has gone that route.

I have only spent $50 so far, but given I played $10/hand blackjack for three hours at a casino IRL last weekend, I don't think the cartel market is my biggest problem.

It is only a problem if you run out of money :D
