  1. The horse-like mounts from The Rise of Skywalker called "orbaks." My cowboy-style smugger needs one.
  2. Most of the PC voices are pretty damn good, IMO. I find the female inquisitor, the male bounty hunter, and the male trooper to be perfect. The male jedi voice is like a sedative. It makes me a little sleepy. I've never played male inquisitor or consular, so I can't comment on those. But the rest are OK. Not spectacular, but not bad in any way. On a side note: I absolutely hate the voice they picked for Revan. I don't really know what he sounded like in my head while I was playing KOTOR, but that wasn't it.
  3. Yeah well, they're not going to throw away all the work that they already did in making those individual class stories and the advanced classes. Maybe they don't matter later, but they still matter in the first three chapters. I can't speak for everyone, but as an altoholic, I can say that I really enjoy those first three chapters probably more than the rest, at least as far as the game stands right now.
  4. There are some companions that I don't want (Skadge, Quinn, Vik, etc), but only one I really want to keep is Elara Dorne. The rest I am pretty neutral on.
  5. Am I wrong, or didn't I see a piece or pieces of G0-T0 somewhere in this game?
  6. All of my characters, save my merc and my gunslinger, are extremely loyal to their respective factions and would tell this clown to screw. I have to think that my merc and my gunslinger would also tell Valkorion to screw simply because they are fiercely independent, regardless of the previous forced faction alignment. I doubt that we're really going to be given the chance. I think it's just a line. BW/EA doesn't seem to want to do more than one story and joining Valkorion or not would require two.
  7. Neverwinter Nights 1. I would say KOTOR if it were longer. Both of them I played to death.
  8. I think the male JK voice is too soft spoken. It kinda puts me to sleep, even though I prefer to play the JK as male. I played KOTOR a lot, and I mean a lot, and I don't really know what kind of voice I played in my head while playing that game, but Revan's voice in SWTOR is not it. I have played this game for a couple of years now, and I just got my first 60. I am an altoholic. I used to reroll after finishing chapter 1. It seemed like a story ending. Then I wouldn't reroll until the class story finish after chapter 3. After playing to 60, it seems to me that stopping after chapter 3 wasn't such a bad decision. Though I will probably keep leveling characters to 60 for KotFE. I like the SI story, but it seems like there is a lot of extra running around and extra gum flapping which can get tedious if you're leveling with someone else. I don't care about PvP. I've never cared for PvP (I don't like "twitch" games, either). I don't care about end game progression, raids, or chasing gear.
  9. Well, if BW wanted to implement such a thing, they could easily make it for subscribers only. That way the credit caps for f2p and pref don't matter. It's just an excuse, anyway. They won't do it, but they could. Personally, I would like to see it.
  10. Funny, Windows 10 automatically updated my video card when I installed.
  11. I upgraded the day of release and have had 0 problems running the game. The only issues I've had with 10 are that it reset the graphics size on my desktop/internet (but not the game) and it gave me a logon (sign on) screen that I didn't have before (and it seems to be a pain to bypass).
  12. Skadge and Quinn are the only two companions I would really like to see dead, and hopefully I would get to participate. Some I would like to see survive: Elora, Kira, Blizz, and Ashara, but only if they actually let me finally turn her. The others I really don't care one way or the other if they survive or not.
  13. I don't know if changing a game engine after a game has been released has ever been done, but I wouldn't know if it had. If it is possible it would take an awful lot of work and money, I'm sure. If it were possible, I don't think EA/BW would do it if they were making a billion dollars a day. I think they care about the game, just not as much as the players wish they would.
  14. I'll be 50 later this year. I started playing computer games when Zork was new. I started playing online with Neverwinter Nights. It was more like a MORPG. The online persistent worlds weren't "massive," just multiplayer and online. From there I moved to WoW and played that for years (and was getting pretty bored) and then moved to SWTOR. After SWTOR, I think I'd rather quit playing altogether if I have to go back to another text dialogue MMO.
  15. Me too. When I first noticed that the animation was only getting one shot shown, I thought it was only giving one shot. However, after a while (I guess I was a little slow on the uptake) I started watching the mobs health bar and I was getting the full damage but the animation was only showing one shot. It threw me off for quite a while.
  16. I think that there are quite a lot of people that wouldn't have given this game a shot without the Star Wars name. With the problems it had at launch, it might not even exist anymore. I tried this game out (and continued to play), not because of the movies, but because of KOTOR. I almost certainly would have tried this game without the Star Wars name if KOTOR had been it's own universe. And I didn't pick KOTOR up because of Star Wars. I picked it up because my NWN persistent world shut down and I was looking for a new game and I thought it looked interesting. I played WoW for several years waiting for KOTOR 3. Instead, this is what we got. So yeah, I'd have at least tried out this game as long as it was the same universe as KOTOR, whether KOTOR was Star Wars or not.
  17. I couldn't give an accurate number. Not even in the ballpark. I have played and deleted way too many characters.
  18. I think my most hated planet is Tatooine. It's not the quests or the layout. I just hate heat and deserts. And I think whatever civil engineers designed Coronet City on Corellia (if it were real life) were seriously brain damaged. The layout of that city makes no sense whatsoever. I still enjoy Corellia as a whole, though. I'm not sure I have a "favorite" planet. I do know that by the time it's time to leave ANY planet, I am ready to go. Sometimes I will even skip the "But wait, there's more" guy as I'm heading back to my ship.
  19. I agree. The stories in SWTOR are great. However, I think it's the voice acting that does it, really. It makes the story more relevant. It makes it seem as if you're actually interacting with the NPCs. Clicking through paragraphs of text, to me, puts a barrier up between the PC and, not just the NPC, but the whole story. I've been playing for a couple of years, playing and replaying stories and I still go through the conversations (except for the occasional FP where the group wants to spacebar through for a fast run). I know it's expensive and time consuming, but I really wish more MMOs would do this.
  20. Humans, mostly because of the range of appearance options. I do like the Chiss, but I wish they had access to human hairstyles and facial hair for males. If there were more appearance options for the other races, I might play them more often.
  21. Yeah, probably not going to happen. However, cyborgs should never have been a separate species to begin with. Cyborg implants should've just been a character creation option and should've been available for more than just humans. Looks to me as a cheap and chintzy way to create an extra species for character creation. I never choose cyborg anyway. I think the implants available are pretty ugly.
