How Much Have You Spent on Cartel Coins?
ticklefist replied to Berronaxftw's topic in General Discussion
Zero. Hell, I struggle to spend the coins I get for subbing. -

The Bioware companion characters your most fond of
ticklefist replied to Rabenschwinge's topic in General Discussion
1. Jack (ME2) 2. Morrigan (DA) 3. Kaliyo (SWTOR) 4. Aveline (DA2) 5. EDI (ME3) Honorable Mentions: Henpecked Hou from Jade Empire and Varric Tethras of Dragon Age II. Have yet to play the BG games and will never have the nostalgia goggles required to appreciate KOTOR. -
Saying "I have a healer alt" is the MMO equivalent of saying "I have a lot of black friends." I didn't read the OP so if there was some whining going on here, I'm certainly not part of it. Very often however the only time people care about healers is before the match so they know who to guard for medals or after the match so they can vote for MVP. Between then the healer is left to keep itself alive and make sure you have fun. Appreciate that.

But it's so much better when you get that love during the WZ. Go ahead, lie and pretend you don't know what I'm talking about.

ticklefist replied to skiibyrd's topic in General Discussion
Definitely not a strong patch. These new sticks need better carrots. -

HM FP: You Caused Wipe, I Need on Your Gear for Repair
ticklefist replied to itsmymillertime's topic in General Discussion
I got rank 10 social using nothing but group finder and I never once encountered a group or player I couldn't push in the right direction with words or simply put on my back and carry. -
Grade 7 space gear prices reduced. Is that it, then? No refund?
ticklefist replied to Felioats's topic in General Discussion
There's a pretty big difference between the typical price drops you guys are talking about and the situation with these Grade 7 ship parts and schematics. How this request has met with opposition is anyone's guess and just testament to how dysfunctional the internet is. -
I was kissing every dude I could in front of him, even Skavak. Then I found out he'd have given me a gun named Sparkles if I was kissing him instead. Son, I am disappoint.

Star Wars: The Old Republic – State of the Game #2

Very little was said in this article that we haven't heard before. Stuff we've been told is coming in the future is still coming in the future. -
Is this expansion coming at the cost of current content?
ticklefist replied to ticklefist's topic in General Discussion
If that's the case and they stick to their word, that's great and I'm pretty happy. -
My primary concern is having less small group content to do at 55 than I currently have at 50. Flashpoint content to be specific. The decision to raise the level cap seems rather arbitrary to me. As if the the thought process was, "hey, you expand the game, you raise the level cap. That's just what you're supposed to do." A lot of fans might agree with that. Personally, I couldn't disagree more. That is not a compelling reason by any stretch of the word. Perhaps the dev team feels it's time for a gear reset? I think the disparities in gear between fresh level 50s and veteran players has been taken care of pretty well. With the head start given to fresh level 50s in 1.6 the current gear cap is well within reach for any player willing to put forth the effort. So if we're not raising the level cap for that reason, then what other reason is there? I feels as if the correct answer about the raised level cap is: So we'll buy it. And I will. So long as I'm not buying my way into having less to do.

Not sure where you're leaning with this but I'll bite. No, it would not be a problem. The cost would be more consistent. Right now the cost between gameplay hours/effort/hoop-jumping and real world money is so imbalanced that anyone who values their time will be compelled to simply buy these items and move on. Possibly feeling scammed in the process.

Stuff you wish you knew when you first started playing SWTOR
ticklefist replied to Danbuterx's topic in General Discussion
Oh man, I'm sorry you have to read stuff on the internet. I'm so happy I'm from America and we get to ignore stuff people say. Good luck with your murders though. -
More companion interaction after their individual quest lines are completed. Some kind of optional activities to do with them like pool or the Star Wars equivalent. Something like that pesky GTA IV friendship maintenance but remove the necessity.

Why is BW sitting on Paid Character Transfers?
ticklefist replied to Graydon's topic in General Discussion
Never in a million trillion years thought I'd say this but... I think I'd like to go to an RP server. -
As a healer I do more tanking in story mode than the tank does. The tank finds ONE THING to hold aggro on and let's me take care of everything else. You pug tanks are champions.

Left the game after the first month because: 1. Game had very little consideration for solo players 2. Gear itemization was horrible leaving the Time/Reward ratio tipped far too heavily in Time's favor. 3. No group finder, further bogging down the Time/Reward ratio. Came back three weeks ago because: 1. Those problems were fixed or given a work-around. Continuing my sub because: 1. I am able to do exactly what I want in a reasonable amount of time. 2. The rewards for playing are much improved. 3. I am able to progress at a satisfactory pace while keeping clear of the trappings of a raiding guild.

Why do so many players not buff themselves?
ticklefist replied to Bulwyf's topic in General Discussion
Jesus. This is how it starts. When people think other people are just too bad at MMOs to grasp the simplest parts of it. If someone doesn't have their class buff it's probably because it has slipped their mind. Perhaps they came back from a long AFK and got right back to it. Or perhaps they've been at it a while and didn't notice when it fell off. It's not the end of the world and you should probably find better things to do than find the most mundane crap to worry about.
