At least it only happens when you carry the ball, I get fire pitted just for walking around. Of course, a third of the time that's just me running in the fire... My personal favorite is being pulled, then in mid air using Guardian Leap to go forward, only to be pulled back by someone else and eventually meeting my fate in the fire anyways. Phalanx - I stopped playing swtor on 1.1, then i returned on 1.3. I was guildless and I always looked for good players on pvp, to know what guild is good and what isn't, and he was the first guy I've seen from Resilience (Eternal at that time), and he made me think "wow, this guild has some good guys, I want to be a part of it", and here I am today.
