Daethorz
Well, If they stay away from P2W crap it might work. But the second they cross over to P2W this game instantly becomes the worst mmo on the market.

islander
Awful. The failure continues...and accelerates It's only a matter of time before I unsub for good now. The people in my warzones are bad enough as it is, now you're going to let F2Pers in them? Edited July 31, 2012 by islander

islander
guess us " haters" were right Yep. Not happy about it, but it is what it is. Also, I love how TOR is going to cost 15 bucks - basically free - next month. I guess this means I should wait a couple months before I buy guild wars 2 haha oh, and BTW: http://www.swtor.com/free Edited July 31, 2012 by islander
Socialist
So, the doom is announced. I don't know who's more villain in this, EA or the Darths or the financial market. Anyway, like when Stalin got hold of the USSR (instead of Trotsky) or when after the Cold War the market ran free as a bird, doom is announced and we are in a downwards spiral now. It doesn't look bad, but that's them softening the news. Those Cartel Coins sound like the heart of future issues. mavsynchroid
"Since launch, we’ve been listening to feedback from our fans and adding new content and refining The Old Republic at a breakneck pace." Personally think this is a lie. Almost everyone I've talked to says they do NOT want F2P. I'm not saying it's like that for everyone, but it seems the majority of fans did not want that. You do realise Trotsky was much more ideologically driven than dear old Stalin, and would probably have been a greater mass murderer?

White_Silhouette
I'm curious if this means it's going to be solely f2p or a "freemium" model. Very little info on this is annoying. edit: nevermind looks like something showed. up. Edited July 31, 2012 by White_Silhouette
SWJon
Bad news IMO. It's bad if all you consider is the fact that SWTOR is losing subscribers and had to resort to this option. However, as long as they stay with the "unlimited" game access for $14.95/mo, all they are doing is adding other options for players. The economy's tough - people like having more than one option to pay for a game. As it stands now, I don't see anything wrong with it.
