  1. Good job!! You can recall!! Good for you!! Good Job!! Now, as I said, when I was reading one of the first versions of the rewards page, quite possibly before you did (thus allowing for the change between when I read it and you did), I realized how much EA was trying to screw with (not the same as screw over) previous subscribers by putting the clause of needing to be subscribed when F2P launched - and hiding it in rather hard to read print at the bottom of the page. But I was able to take solace in the fact that I would at least get to keep the 150 coins per month up to July 31st, since there was no restriction on needing to keep subscribed at all after July 31st. There. You got your attention for the day. No need to sulk, you can pretend you are important now.
  2. You do not get any Cartel Coins (except maybe the 100 per month for the security key) if you are not currently subscribed. I can't answer about the preferred status, as I am still waiting for the game to download before I can check if it is working for me.
  3. For the credits: You don't lose credits above 350K... From a certain point of view. You just can't access anything above 350K until you subscribe again. (Think of the extra being locked away in a trust, never to be seen again until you subscribe.) You will only have the 350K to spend, and anytime your "active" credit balance goes over 350K, the extra is shunted away with the other credits that are locked from use. Everything else, I have to defer to other posters. I think there have been some improvements in the area you ask of, but I don't pay attention to that area (end game stuff).
  4. That isn't entirely true. The first variations of the rewards page didn't state you had to have active subscription time for the 150 CCs a month up to July 31st (and only those coins). That was changed between the time I read the rewards page, and today.
  5. While I have sneaky access to General, let me try to answer that. From launch, to July 31st you are rewarded 150 CCs per month. That is for subbed time up to the announcement of F2P. From August 1st, up to November 15th, you are awarded 200 CCs per month. That is for sticking around after the announcement of F2P.
  6. Hmmm... I shouldn't be able to post here. Unless Preferred status gives me permission. I suspect that'll change soon enough. :-P
  7. No, no. Unless something has changed, the Legacy Name of the transfer destination is kept - regardless of comparative levels.
  8. Quite right. But then there may have been many like me, who were trying to complete all their personal goals before the sub runs out. Example: I am trying to finish up my Trooper story so that I will have completed 7/8 stories.
  9. It could run it maxed out. But it is a crap shoot. I am running a Core i3 530, AMD Radeon 5770 (@ 1680 x 1050), and 8 GB of RAM, and I could run it maxed out early on. Frame rates were about 35-60 fps depending on action on screen. After a while, with updates and such, my ability tapered off enough to not make it worth it. Your rig should handle WoW fine, from what I here of WoW performance. But it would be iffy for SW:TOR.
  10. With the 6 month / 2x 3 month subs starting to run out this weekend, I am curious to see what next weeks numbers bring. (Not for this week, but the following.)
  11. Let’s be clear. This isn’t an “I quit post.” No one really gives a damn if I play or not. What this is, is a marker. A marker in time. According to my My Account page, I have one day remaining on my subscription. Unfortunately, they do not have a date, just a rough remaining time left. Because I can’t tell which way it is rounded I do not know if today is my last day, or tomorrow. Most likely tomorrow. (The 16th of August.) Regardless, I represent the players who started on the first day of early access and had the faith to buy a 6 month subscription (and received the extra month game time), and have unsubscribed somewhere along the line. Optionally, I can – but do not necessarily – represent similar people who had two three month subscriptions. So this post marks when those subs start running out. Good luck everyone. Have fun. May the force be with you. And remember: “There is always hope. Only because that is the one thing no one has figured out how to kill. Yet.” -- Galen.
  12. Yeah? And? Let me guess, you saw "could be argued that they shouldn't," and read "I say they can't." So you thought you would point how wrong I was, and how much more clever you are? Let me help you out. All I said was it could be argued. Not that that argument could be won, or that Twi'leks are incapable of speaking Basic.
  13. I am a 6 month subscriber, and I am not renewing. Unfortunately, I looked behind the curtain and found out the Wizard is just a pathetic old man...
  14. Because a barren wasteland is better to you than a thriving community of discussions you don't approve of? Not to worry! I am quite certain after those that post about F2P leave, you will find some other group that you do not approve of the discussions they want to have!
  15. Looks like someone has gone off the deep end...
  16. Actually, it could. Because there are many species that shouldn't be speaking in Galactic Basic. It could be argued the Twi'leks shouldn't be speaking in Galactic Basic.
  17. You have to work in the VAT. I don't know the full workings of it, but if you convert the "original price" of 17+ euros to US Dollars it comes out to about $20. An add of about $5. $9 + $5 converted is about 12 euros. So it is close.
  18. Not quite true. We have a pretty good idea that subscription price wasn't the largest reason.
  19. I don't think it was region locked.
  20. I am going off of memory, so hopefully someone else will come in with links to back this up. Cathar is the next race to be added. I heard it will be a purchasable option after F2P launches. I remember a post somewhere on these forums (before the announcement of F2P) that a developer said essentially "if Cathar does well, we will add more." So, I think it depends on how many people buy the Cathar race option.
  21. Clearly you haven't been reading through the Unsebscribers thread. Bugs are why some are leaving.
  22. Speaking of pulling out of their arse... The "guy" said "BW said no more Class Content when they raise the cap." And that was stated. Unfortunately, I can't even begin to remember where. I don't know if it was an interview, or a post, or a video. It may have been brought to my attention that it was posted on Twitter, or elsewhere. I think it was a video interview from GDC2012... But I am not going to go and track it down. Essentially, the developer was asked about more story and said something like "there will be more class story, not so much with Makeb, but we do want to continue class stories."
  23. Let's do another analysis. BioWare said they need 500K subs to "remain profitable." Is that their absolute bottom number? God, I hope not. For their sake I hope it is padded a bit. As of today, a MMO is lucky - damn lucky - to maintain 300K+ subs. Let's be generous to SW:TOR, and say they can maintain 400K subs. (I honestly do not think that will happen, but I am no expert.) Now, that means that every month, 100K subs worth of cash shop transactions need to happen in order to remain profitable. If we trust Michael Pachter, SW:TOR will get 10 million Monthly Active Users. Meaning 10 million unique accounts will log on at least once each month and do... something. That means, on average, each Monthly Active User (including subscribers) would have to spend about $0.12 a month. Just to remain profitable. If we use more realistic (for other MMOs) numbers, while still keeping SW:TORs' minimum subs needed - say 250K subscribers, and 1 million Monthly Active Users, that would mean each user (including subscribers) would need to spend approximately $3.00 each month - just to remain profitable. The numbers do not look good. Of course, it is possible they will reduce production and maintenance costs, say 50% in order to remain profitable with 250K subs... But what will that do to the game? How many subs will be lost if the production costs are cut roughly in half? Now, F2P may just pull things out for SW:TOR. But I am thinking it will require a hell of a revamp (not necessarily a re-write) of their current code just to keep enough people interested. But, again, I am not an expert. EDIT to add:: No. January + 6 months + 2 free months (one with the game, one for having a level 50) = August. I know this has been spelled out on these forums before. By the very same posters you harass and call troll. Did you grasp it this time, hotshot?
  24. You sure? 6 month sub purchased in December. Haven't paid since. Boggles your mind, doesn't it?
  25. Just a note, I haven't paid a sub since December of last year.
