basketballbum Posted July 16, 2012 Share Posted July 16, 2012 Something needs to be developed, the unfortunate thing is there was once something that people called "open world pvp" it involved trading objectives with the opposing faction while never attacking them, then it involved people standing tightly grouped and taking turns to kill each other. These were the exploits that happened on Ilum and there were other issues as well such as faction imbalance. Love it when peeps post OPvP screenies and vids. Despite its shortcomings, my old server used to have a lot of fun and good fights in Ilum when there was a daily and incentive to go there. Equally, we had a lot of fun OPvP during the Rakghoul event. Clearly, players will OPvP in droves if there is some incentive to do so. I know this is not perfect, "real PvPers" should PvP just for the fun of the fight. However, a small incentive wouldn't hurt since peeps seem to like it. It is fun to do but at the end of the day it's just a time sink. I'd like for there to be some incentive to make it seem more worth while than just something to do when you're bored.
