  1. Zseusz, your fav PT here Saeri, your biggest burst comes from Energy Burst which is a lvl 57 ability I think, I'm not in game to confirm. Without it, AP will feel very much like pre-3.0 Pyrotech (with a few changes of course). If you do decide to keep playing it to 60 and do some ranked, get ready for some hardcore focus and pressure since it has become the norm to focus fire PTs first in a 4man DPS or 3man dps and healer combo. If you can handle the focus than you should be fine, but tbh it's not what most people think. Yes, it's extremely bursty if you pop Explosive Fuel and have 7 stacks of shoulder cannon up, but it's soooo ez to anticipate the burst and the rotation is the same for every PT. Proper use of DCDs and anyone can fight toe to toe with a PT, especially a sin. You're not bad, even if I poke fun at you about it. As a PT, my hardest fights were against other PTs, Sins, Juggs, and even a good Merc will make me work, but yeah, against bads the class will shine. Against a good player, not so much. gg and have fun with it

  3. Believe it or not I experienced the same thing today in a Yolo, granted the player was on my team and I wont name him, but looking at his gear he was fully PvP geared with similar mods and enhancements. He sat at 46K health.
  4. Was his Rocket Punch flaming? The rotation makes me think it could very well be a Pyrotech, considering Rocket Punch makes Railshot autocrit, I often hit a solid 10K on softies. But a simple rotation like that seems highly implausible to burst someone down unless you were extremely under geared.
  5. Also to remember, Van/PT AP burst is VERY predictable and can be easily mitigated. so the Jugg will often use reflect and most of that burst potential is reversed on you, so be careful with Juggs!

  9. Out of curiosity, the power relic stacking, is it Obroan x Conqueror or Obroan x Obroan? If it's the former, I'll go ahead and buy one now! Haha. More DPS for my DPS Operative, YEAAAHHH!!!!111
  10. I've been saying this since Ranked was first introduced. I am still *********** baffled as to why it has not been implemented yet. Operations have weeklies, why can't Ranked have the same? This simple fix would increase Ranked population for sure, yet Bioware can't seem to understand that? I'm literally at a loss for words, I don't understand.
  11. Cleanse Acid Blade/Corrosive Dart and watch the Operative's DPS go to the pooper. I love it when I am healing. Evasion and... voila... easy healing. Any healer who loses to an Operative DPS 1v1 needs to unsub. (harsh but reality)
  12. I think you have Operatives confused with Assassins. Every Scrapper/Concealment has offered reasonable buffs to bring the DPS tree up to par to other classes, in terms of DPS, rotation, and survivability without making it the next fotm. I simply cannot fathom someone attempting to argue against the survivability of a Scrapper/Concealment, in any scenario. I feel like perhaps I am being trolled, because you lack complete common sense! Our 2 main hitters are a) Hidden Strike, and b) Backstab. Hidden Strike ONLY usable once, and backstab only usable every 12s. Now, our filler abilities - assuming both players are min/maxed / same skill level - will not do enough damage to cause any threatening damage to an opponent. If you cannot see that a Deception/Infiltration has everything a Scrapper/Concealment has, except the self healing (which are expensive and quite long to cast), as well as having higher burst potential, and better survivability, than I cannot continue to refute your arguments with your narrow minded opinions. I simply propose small survivability buffs to bring us on par with Assassins. I rest my case, thank you.
  13. I agree, however the burst potential is quite different and more favorable for the Assassin. Backstab having a 12s CD is also class-breaking. I agree, however Spike triggers a Maul proc immediately after that.1 Acid Blade can be cleansed.2 Cloaking Screen offers a chance to escape, which is good. However Shield Probe is a joke. I have tested this, and by having my friend Maul, Smash, Ravage, etc. Some of the damage is absorbed, however the rest is still applied. I've gotten smashed for 6-7K with Shield Probe activated.3 Evasion is a good tool for cleansing or negating a Ravage/range/melee abilities, but it's not difficult to LoS a range as any class really. In 1v1, sure, the class has its potential, but in a group fight? I guess I can stealth and wait until Rebuke is finished, but then my team is getting smashed as I stay stealthed. If your only argument is to wait until enemy cool downs are done, than I must ask you if you have ever participated in any Ranked games? I am not arguing its viability in a 1v1 encounter, which it would most likely lose against a competent Sin anyway, but I am arguing for its survivability in a group environment. which obviously you didn't understand, because most people assume everyone is trying to get a 1v1 buff to the class. 1. Maul does significantly more damage than Hidden Strike 2. Sin/Sha Force Shroud, Merc/Comm tech cleanse, OperativeScound tech cleanse, Sniper/Gunslinger Evasion, the only class who cannot cleanse tech are sorcs/sages, vanguards/powertechs, sw/jk classes. 3. I was being generous when I said I was getting smashed 6-7K with shield probe, he actually told me it was a 9K smash, but in general against most people, the 6-7K smash happens more frequently than not. But of course as you said, I forgot about Shield Probe, because it is such an amazing defensive cooldown.
  14. I'm just curious how we can all go about building our 3 new questions. Should we refute some of Bioware's logic, should we keep pressing the issue of survivability once more this time with CAPLOCK ENABLED, or should we accept the Dev answers as fact and move on with other issues to pursue? I am confused. And Scold, it's alright if you are busy, we understand. The good thing about this community is that we are very close, and all have constructive feedback to give!
  15. And the way they can remove the knock down on Hidden Strike is so that if you are in combat, the knock down will not happen. Of course the camo would be like the SW/JK where we remain in combat. This way we can use Cloaking Screen defensively.
  16. Agreed, luckily Scold can touch on those issues when he submits his own 3 questions. Definitely don't shy from the Operative forums and give your feedback man. The Operative forums have been quiet concerning this round of answers. I feel like they are too busy (rerolling! /joke)
  17. I have been crying for backstab to have an 8s cool down. I don't want hidden strike to be used out of stealth. I wouldn't mind if it auto crit from stealth, but I think a reduction in backstab cooldown could and most likely will help the class. Edit: The reason I mentioned HS is to refute EM's logic on the first question he replied to.
  18. Also positional dependent. MUST be behind the target. Your points sum everything out nicely. It shows how easily effective other abilities can be used as opposed to Hidden Strike with its many obstacles.
  19. You may go on. If we look at it objectively in that manner, than people need to realize that Hidden Strike ONLY hits as hard as it does (yet less than out of stealth hits) because of 2 things: A) people forget that it is also CRIT dependent, regardless of crit increasing abilities. It still has a chance to not crit, and a spec focusing around Hidden Strike is useless if it doesn't crit. Also, only usable 1 time per fight, as EM said, metrics show some Operatives wasting a defensive cd to use it again. lol B) Acid Blade. (Not passive, a separate ability that has an energy cost) Can be dispelled. HOWEVER, the debate was on EM's logic, and not so much how to counteract an ability.
  20. But then again "Shoot First/Hidden Strike does great damage because it requires you to be stealthed behind your target. If it did not require stealth, it would do considerably less damage." Bioware's *********** logic. Because out of stealth abilities used MORE frequently don't do more damage than Shoot First/Hidden Strike. /sarcasm
