  1. What I imagine going through the Dev's minds right now based on their posts the past ~2 weeks, "Wait there are a ton of complaints on just about every subforum about server and ability lag to the point where the game is unplayable? These threads totaling in the 100,000's of views and have a high number of replies? How can we fix this? I know, let's put another cartel pack on sale, that will make everyone happy!"
  2. I just had a weird experience. I was queueing as a dps on a lowbie for athiss and when I got in first thing the jugg tank does is go to where the lifts are and jumps all the way to the bottom and dies. He then insults the other dps saying that "it looks like he has a (explicit) on his head," while he was dead. He continued to talk in all caps the entire fp . He was also spouting profanity the entire time. At one point he needed on a willpower earring that dropped and when I asked why he said "it was for his (explicit)." Then he posted "2CHAINZ LOLOLOL." I think the tank and the healer were friends because when I tried to initiate a vote kick he started yelling at me for starting one on him and when I whispered the other dps he said that he had voted to kick him too. He also refused to pause between groups at all often pulling 3 groups at a time. Our dps were overgeared so it didn't matter too much as we only ended up dying once. That is until we hit the palace guardians where he would continually aggro 4 at a time. We wiped twice and at that point he started blaming the dps for not killing the guardians fast enough. By this point I made up my mind to leave the group and as I was leaving I vented at him a little bit and not so nicely asked why he was talking in caps the entire time. He responded it was because he didn't have a keyboard...
  3. Eric I want to thank you and your team for putting in the time to get the servers up and I know what happened isn't your fault. At the same time however I am wondering what if anything is being done to prevent this sort of thing from happening in the future. I'm not asking for specifics, I'm just asking if some preventative measures are being taken for some piece of mind so that next time when I set aside an evening for raiding I don't have to worry about the server being brought down and this same thing from happening again. Again thanks for your hard work last night.
  4. To be honest I could care less if I had "Revan's mask" or not. I just want a freaking mask that allows me to put my hood up over it. If anyone knows one that's available for a more reasonable price let me know.
  5. If you want to compensate me for the repair bills and time lost in and out of game, heck I'll sit there and wipe with you all day long. I want fps to go smoothly not only for in game reasons but often times I have real life things to do after them. If you tell me before the fp starts that you haven't ran it, wonderful. I'll explain it and I'll be more than willing to go through a few wipes. If you don't say anything however and we wipe a few times because of blown mechanics on your part I will vote kick you. Also with the guides that you find online, many don't discuss the story at all so no need to worry about spoilers there. Also you're talking about fun learning through trial and error. What's fun to you may not be fun to me and, if you are getting kicked, the rest of the group. I'm not saying go to a site and memorize every detail of a fp before you queue for it. All I'm saying is use common sense and take your group members in consideration. Think about the collective group before yourself.
  6. I blame the tank if its their fault, the dps if its theirs, and the healer if its theirs. If you aren't following the proper mechanics for a fight relative to your role then you are to blame. If the tank is constantly losing agro or breaking cc's, I'm not going to blame the healer. My guess is if your tank is constantly getting blamed then more than likely it is because your tank is constantly doing something wrong. You don't offer any examples so this is what I will assume.
  7. I'm sorry but now you are just flat out lying. If you cancelled your subscription you wouldn't be able to post on the forums. The game has been out for over a year now and we will have had a grand total of 4 weekends with double xp leading up to the expansion. There is nothing suggesting that this will turn into anything consistent. You also state that you don't care if we post in this thread yet after the second post in this thread you asked that no one other than a dev post here. You are now coming across as hypocritical. If this is really bothering you that much that you feel the need to come to the forums and lie/demand attention from devs then maybe you should take a break from the game.

  10. This area was supposed to be small group pvp (max group size of 4), when you have one guild that has around 20 people attacking only those who aren't in their guild how is this even remotely fun or fair. Why did they put a two week time limit on this event starting out? It's pretty obvious now that they had no idea how this would turn out and this was meant to be a test which has failed horribly. If people were playing the way it was intended (killing anyone outside the group) it would be a much more even playing field but it wouldn't be easy. Forming an unofficial op group though and attacking people and killing them just because of sheer numbers is just plain stupid. I would almost go so far as to call this exploiting the game to gain an unfair advantage that was not intended. If it was intended then they would have made the rule that your group can be as large as you want as long as its all your guild. There is also the other extreme where some guilds are policing the pvp area and if anyone attacks anyone else then the entire group of people in center (around 40) will attack you and label you as kill on sight. Both sides are wrong on so many levels but this is what it has turned into based on the current quest objectives. If they really wanted chaotic ffa like this seems like it was designed to be, just dump everyone into a big bowl and put a glowing orb out there, whoever holds the orb at the end of two minutes gets the point. (I don't think this is a good idea but this would probly have better results and be easier to complete than the guild ganking crap we have now which is sad.) I will admit with the current players it is hard to make open world pvp objectives without them being taken advantage of in some way. In this games short life we have seen objective trading, kill trading, guild ganking, and people who straight up refuse to pvp and become angry when other people do in a pvp zone because they want to just do the mission. Its just depressing how they talked about "exciting changes to the pvp zone in Illum" and then we get the same crap just in a different format. If I was a developer, before I made the quest objectives and areas I would put myself in the position of the player and think "ok now if I wanted to take advantage of this system, what would I do?" I feel like these are problems that should have been easily foreseeable, especially for experienced developers.

  12. I agree with you that they should keep the pvp quests but what you are describing was basically in place in early swtor. What it lead to was kill farming, two large groups forming up taking turns killing each other for valor/easy completion of a pvp mission based on kills which would grant comms. If your rewards were put in this would return. I'm not bashing your post at all as I agree that pvp quests are better than no pvp quests and they need to be improved. I'm just saying based on the past history what you suggest would not work.
  13. I recently returned to playing this game this past month however many of my old guildies have moved on to different games. I have characters on both sides on this server, 3 50s, with my main being a marrauder. I'm looking for a relaxed and casual guild that likes to have fun doing both pve and pvp. I would also prefer it to be large enough where finding a group for daily flashpoints wouldn't be a problem. As I took a couple months off I forgot dynamics of some of the fights but I am a fast learner. I am a college student right now so naturally that must come first so often times I don't know what my schedule will be for a day until the day before or even the day of. If you think I would be a good fit for your guild please respond to this and I will check it out later. Thanks and have a good day.

I'm sorry but this thread reminds me of one of the most epic posts I've read on this forum. Quote: Originally Posted by fungihoujo Fatman server presents, real pvpers of genius. 15. I hate to say it but there are always going to be people out there that blame other people whether it's their fault or not. I'm just questioning this thread now because it's turning into two sides just saying the same stuff in different ways with no ones views changing, just insults being thrown out. As far as in game all you can do is /ignore the people that you don't enjoy playing with, friend the ones you do and try to form groups with them and let the chips fall where they may and that goes for everyone that plays this game.
