Makade
So it's been three months since launch, and what has Bioware done? Bioware needs to take a long, hard look at Trion (the new bar for MMO devs), take a few notes, and get busy. I suspect there is too much celebrating going on in Austin for them to even recognize that their update schedule is laughable (the blind arrogance of this dev team regarding their "success" with this titanic is astounding). Players these days will not tolerate a so-so patch (made up of stuff that any crap F2P MMO has at launch) every 4 months. Bioware needs to wake up, get some humility, and get to work. I wish I would have listened to EA Louse. Edited March 16, 2012 by Makade

Like your 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, ect. ect. Never do I see them list a patch like a 1.5.1 or a 1.6.1. You know those patches that Bioware is currently doing to the 1.1 content patch. So for our viewing pleasure. Rifts 1.6.1 patch! RIFT 1.6.1 Hotfix #5 - 8:00am PDT 12/28/11 [NA] - 2:00am GMT 29/12/11 [EU] GENERAL * PvP Achievements: Behind Enemy Lines can now be completed by closing any rift in Silverwood / Gloamwood for Defiants, and Freemarch / Stonefield for Guardians. * While on the quest ‘Unworking the Ritual’ any air rift that grants experience should drop air sourcestone when closed * Instant Adventure Daily quests should now be listed under “Meridian” or “Sanctum” in your quest log * Level 50 players completing Instant Adventure Daily quests will now get more XP * Recipes that are loot drops from monsters, dungeons, or rifts should no longer be BoP ZONES * Hammerknell: The general population of Hammerknell will drop items more frequently. * Hammerknell: Darktide Mists should no longer reset aggro while engaged in combat DUNGEONS * Players completing Expert 1 Dungeon Dailies now have a choice of reward, either 6 Plaques of Achievement or 2 Marks of Ascension * Players completing Expert 2 Dungeon Dailies now have a choice of reward, either 6 Plaques of Achievement, 2 Marks of Ascension, or 1 Greater Mark of Ascension 9 Whole things fixed!!! OMG such an amazing patch! See this is what gets me when people talk about patches. They seem to forget the difference between a Major Content Patch, aka 1.(insert number here) and a Incremental Hotfix Patch. aka you 1.(Random Number).(Random Number)

Blarpped
I think three months is reasonable so long as the patch has a good bit of content. The people at Trion are freaks of nature. It's really not going to matter what they add to this game because nothing is going to change the fact that it's nothing more than a typical themepark MMO. Oh, there's the "fourth pillar" but who cares when it crumbles to dust as soon as you ding 50.

I played Rift...while I found the optimization of the engine to be outstanding, the game world is tiny and cramped...five steps, quest giver, five more steps, quest giver, fiver more...you get the picture (yeah I'm exaggerating a bit, but the sense is the same). Quests boring.

Because I like the Star Wars IP enough to check back from time to time, and I can sub or unsub to multiple games at my leisure because I don't deliver pizzas for a living. So boring quests is all you got? I agree, SWTOR does quests really well with the VO. The problem is that nothing else is done well. I keep seeing on these forums that Rift is dying or it's included in a list of "failed" mmos. It is simply untrue. The servers are absolutely hopping over there. I don't get your logic. People with jobs can probably sub up to 3 different MMORPG's on minimum wage without putting a dent in their wallet. Don't get your point. The communities are really bustling now, seems all the haters left to play SWTOR and they can't get along

When did they promote you from driver to cook? So boring quests is all you got? That's like admonishing me for hating a car that's been delivered to me without wheels or an engine. When questing is a huge part of your game, and it sucks as it does in Rift, then yeah, what I got is enough to damn it. But on top of that, it's cramped and feels tiny. And on a personal note, I'm rather sick of the fantasy theme at the moment.
rkopczak
lol, I just chcecked Aion f2p the other day to check what changed for this 2 years, ond only new thing I found was pet system lol.I was also playing Rift and was bored to death, their stupid events are just laughabale. Stop complaining this game is 3 months old, we already got new operation and flashpoint, and one of the biggest free content patches I ever seen, are already cooking. At times I've been subbed to five different games at one time (EVE, WWII Online, EQ, CoH, SWG). The difference between the likes of you and me, since I was having fun playing those games, I never visited the forums. Why? Because I was too busy having fun playing those games, haha. And if I had time to be on a forum, it would be on the forums of the games I was having fun playing so I could talk about cool things.
