i dont know how on earth you can play with an alt modifier for keybinds

my hands dont work that way, i have to use a shift modifier

Trust me, it is just a matter of practice. I use ALT modifiers and it comes "natural" to me after doing it for a long time.

If I try the same thing with CTRL modifiers im like "*** is this!?"

I use ctrl, alt and shift modifiers.

But, its easy when you have a razer naga and bind two of the thumb keys to alt and ctrl :)

Alt modifier is fine but I guess it depends on how big are your hands. I have many binds including alt but the only one I kinda wish I hadn't gotten used to is alt + q which I use for interrupt. Enrage ensues every time I missclick and press alt + tab instead ><

I have read that only 98% accuracy is needed for pve bosses...Meaning i might respec and get myself more surge around the 77% ish mark.

6.6k annihilates are much fun!

Any chance you could give me more insight to your gear? I have similar gear (Rakata OH, Chest, Legs, belt - rest is Columi), but don't have that amount of power... though, it may be that you have the Sorc buff.

Sometimes this comes down to the brand of Keyboard. There are some keyboard models that have a large and slightly repositioned Alt key to make it more accessible than others.

Having 5 keyboards in my office at this very moment for one computer, some are brilliant for gaming for myself, and would be a nightmare for others or for using my key-binds.

(When looking at even normal inexpensive keyboards (under $30) take the time to test them out and find one that might work better than what you might even expect to work well.)

I was a beta tester for the original 1994 Microsoft Split Keyboard, and thought I would hate it, as I was a fast typist and thought I liked a lighter touch and a the angle seemed strange at the time. After 20 minutes of testing, it still is hard to more back to non split/angled keyboards. My typing on a regular keyboard is around 160wpm, and on the split Microsoft keyboards (especially the old ones) I was hitting 220wpm in just one day of getting used to the keyboard.

Kind of jumping into a post here, but keyboards are important and often not given enough consideration. There are some 'gaming' keyboards are horrible for some people's gaming style, so always test and retest if you can before buying something.

Another issue is 'ghosting' as some keyboard hardware designs (going way back) are limited to how many and 'what' keys can be pressed at the same. Which is important in a game like SWTOR where you are mashing several combinations quickly.

http://www.microsoft.com/appliedsciences/AntiGhostingExplained.mspx

Tools like this can help in 'moving' keys that are 'hard' bound by games:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/goglobal/bb964665

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avro_Keyboard

The same is true of regular mice and some gaming Mice. Even a 5 button Microsoft Mouse can be a cheap and good upgrade from a standard 2-3 button mouse for gaming, especially when using Shift/Ctrl/Alt in combination with keys on the mouse.

I use a 5 button mouse and use the 3, 4, and 5 mouse buttons with Shift, Ctrl as my modifiers, giving my mouse 9 extra commands with just the extra buttons. I love Jump as my 'back' button (Mouse Button 5), as I can move around significantly better and not have to use a keyboard for general navigation and can devote my keyboard more to abilities.

So a $20 5 button Microsoft/Logitech mouse can be almost as effective as some of the more expensive gaming mice, until you have the $149 for new a Cyborg RAT 7 MMO with like 30 key/chords available.

Thanks for letting me jump in here, and if it helps one user, I have completed a goal today. -Take Care... :)
