Don't bother having a Public Test Server if you aren't going to bother to listen to the (massive) feedback from your testers or bother to fix issues before releasing them to your live servers. (sadly this pushed it beyond my bs/tolerance limit and I unsubscribed tonight.) I told them days ago this would happen. Alot of people were singing on the same tune. Guess what happened??????????? Dyvim Posted January 19, 2012 Share Posted January 19, 2012 (edited) As someone that has just reached 50 on a few toons, and was looking forward to diving into endgame, and WELCOMED the idea of 50 brackets, now, WHY should I look forward to 50 brackets when a substantial portion of the opposing faction on my server (Jung Ma) just roflcopter'd their way to a huge leap frog in valor rank??? BTW, which server had Republic players pulling off this sploit? That is a HUGE disincentive to play this game and a considerable slap in the face for the time I have invested in it. For a game to be fun, it has to be FAIR. Roll this crap BACK, now, or this game will NOT recover from this real misstep. You've admitted it was a screwup. You admitted it did not work as intended. There have been scores of vid streams, captures, and pics showing exaclty how screwed up this was...you have admitted the mistake NOW FIX IT. Rollback ALL the Ilum valor from today. PERIOD. Bugs on patchday are always to be expected. 15 hours of a pvp zone not working as intended is by no means a good reason to cancel your sub. exactly. people who are whining today simply dont know mmo's at all. whining about issues on patchday is pathetic. bioware is doing an excellent job, the servers are stable like no other mmo managed on their first month of launch, and issues are always minor. im really enjoying all those noobs whining today and many of them leaving the game so we have a higher ratio of intelligent players left to play with. Blueraven Posted January 19, 2012 Share Posted January 19, 2012 If they aren't going to roll back the servers perhaps we can cut the head off the snake. Open world pvp, republic just wont go. Then in addition to lvl 50 brackets for warzones, make them valor specific. For instance, 0-15 valor rank go into matches with 0-15, 16-30, 31-49, and 50-60, and 61+. that way all the people who cheated, get stuck with nothing to do for 2 months while we farm valor and gear to catch up. If what others are claiming about aim being on lightsaber drops for the new bosses, it sure shows how much care goes into the patches.... if its true and not just more trolling like the turret=massive valor idiots. Gotta make use of these opportunities for claiming you deserve free stuff, eh? God forbid they just fix the issue; oh, but who am I kidding, you deserve compensation for something that has so deeply and profoundly affected your life. Getting the title != getting the gear. Then again, I find it hilarious how WoW has become so casual-friendly, featuring nearly free PvP titles and easy to obtain gladiator gear, yet no one complains about that. I really appreciate it, knowing the amount of work that goes into a hot fix like this. I would like to make one request, though. Of all of the people that wrote "Quitting" or "Cancelled" or any of the misspellings thereof, could the community managers please post an actual count of the people that actually did quit or cancel versus the ones that cried wolf? It is common to have bugs and errors. It is what level of bugs and how you respond to them, that really makes a difference. Waiting all day to do nothing, be dishonest to the community, and then try to 'give them a cookie', is just the wrong approach for my dollar. I agree, and i am pretty sure they can do this, some action will be taken definitely as they have said themselves. People that are demanding a rollback are such a small drop on the sea of the playerbase that even if they were all to quit (and it won't happen, as 90% of those posting "canceled" are just trolls or people that canceled long ago), they wouldn't even make a dent on the subscriber base as a whole. To be honest, I use to read posts like these and half believe it, yeah people threatening to quit are just trolls and stuff. Until, I felt like quitting myself. The damage done here is trust and faith in bioware. This has been lost, people are more hesitant, reluctant to invest time, money and effort into this game which they believe may screw them over again. This is real, and this is happening, whether people choose to believe they are merely trolls or not. At the end of the day though, people really don't need to say they unsubbed, and people don't need to call those that do, trolls, idiots, etc. It's basically real, people have unsubbed, bidding their time to see how bioware handles this. Folks have come to realize, the best way to hurt a company, is through their revenue, this is universal, and that's what many have done, many more will do. Were you an imp gaining a ton of Valor in a VERY short amount of time? 2. Were you a rep player that was stuck in a loop with the only way out being not to play?
