I've yet to figure how others see getting in later as a disadvantage..Gear doesn't Dry up...the Auction House will likely be fuller by the time everyone is in...There's no special day one, first time achievement bull crap...there's no special events going on. The traffic in the zones is moderate and not overwhelmed so everyone already in adn coming in soon are able to progress easily. If you really wanted to get in at the same time as your guild or friends then you should of pre ordered and registered with your guild & friends. They said from the beginning that people would be brought into early access according to when they redeemed their codes. So its been known for how long? Since July that the sooner you pre order and register the better. If they were to wipe the servers I can tell you right now it would be far more long term destroying then people who are upset they were slow at pre ordering. They should wipe the servers again? It's not fair to everyone who bought it on the 20th! They couldn't get the game on the 15th, or they didn't have the money, or grandma died, or little timmy got cholera?!? Reality, come back when you find it. In order to prevent a situation where a lot of players are unable to play due being in server queues, they created a system that left the vast majority of players STUCK IN QUEUES with unknown wait times, waiting for their game access to be turned on. They've chosen by far the greater of two evils. And when dec 20th comes around, with the current system they're probably going to end up with queues and server crashing anyway. How dumb.
