I hadn't played swtor since before the cartel market, and I just recently got back into a month ago with a few friends. I was under the assumption from what I had heard in game, that I would be able to transfer my tier 1 armoring mods (tionese) into the adaptive cartel market armor and be able to retain the set bonuses. However, upon reaching level 50 this past weekend, i purchased my tionese set and swapped the head and chest mods into my adaptive gear and it did not transfer the set bonus. Am I doing something wrong? I transferred all the tionese head piece mods and tionese chest piece mods into my forward recon helm and forward recon chest piece and did not receive the 2 piece set bonus.

Within a couple weeks you will have a separate program that will be able to parse your combat log in real time. The information will have to be stored somewhere in real time for it to be saved. I highly doubt that bioware is going to be storing 2 million + combat logs and then dumping them to your system when you log out. If the combat log can be parsed in real time on one machine, then it can parse several at one time on several different machines. If you consistently run with the same group, all it would take is everyone running the same parsing app on their systems in game, and the metrics being transmitted to each other person at the same time. Think of it like Ventrilo, where one person speaks, everyone hears. The application would transmit and receive data in the same manner.

That's why there's one. Because it's the least "inconvenient". I disagree on your definition of inconvenience, I think typing a 10 digit key that you can bring up on your phone in 5 seconds is an extremely small con against the pros for security. You must get inconvenienced very often. More keys makes it less secure, which as stated before, negates the point of providing an increased layer of security.

There is no way to deny that it is an extra layer of increased security. Regardless of how secure you make everything, adding the key makes it more secure. Now it may not be necessary for everyone though. If you have a 1000 foot concrete wall, its not as secure as a 1001 foot concrete wall. You don't think you need it, don't use it. You think its too inconvenient, don't use it. Arguing that its pointless, is incorrect.

You won't know or be able to test if it's a successful login without it. If you're getting keylogged then you're right, it does nothing. But if you got phished or someone was making a brute force attempt then there would be no way to discern between successful and unsuccessful logins without the key.

Really? Really?!?!? Seriously, if you had a background in IT and software engineering, you would completely comprehend the reasons behind what you call an inconvenience. Your argument that it's not on your droid because you don't carry your phone around you everywhere is also ridiculous. You say you don't carry your phone because you are an older, more mature adult who isn't tied down to technology? Let me ask you this. Do you have a wallet? Or do you simply just leave wads of cash everywhere in several strategic places? You argue that there is no need to protect your SWTOR account because its importance is below that of accounts you deem more valuable, such as your bank account. Another point of yours that shows your lack of intelligence in the IT security world. Any account / login combination is valuable. People use the same login names and the same passwords all the time in different places. You're a liar if you say you have never repeated a password, or a small variation of one. The security key is a very valuable security option. As mentioned earlier, its an extra layer of security. It's an extra locked door to which there is only one key. It's a simple concept to understand and grasp. If it's inconvenient to you and you don't want to use it because you deem the inconvenience to be too large, then don't use it.

If you're already level 50, you have to of played at least 10 hours a day from the 13th til today, probably more. Thats 120 hours at least of game play in under 2 weeks. The majority of players do not have that amount of time to play. I would say most of the people who are hardcore gamers and have a full time job, family, or other real life responsibilities, are probably in the 30s range. I'm only level 31, got in on the 15th, and have put in almost 60 hours of game play. That's an average of 6 hours a day playing, and I didnt play at all on Christmas. I have a family and a full time job that requires over 40 hours a week, plus shopping and traveling to see family for the holidays. I feel as though I have spent almost all my spare time playing this game since it came out, and I'm only level 31! I really don't get how you can complain that you're level 50 already, and that there isn't many people to play with. The only people that can be level 50 either took a vacation from work, are college kids home in between semesters who didn't take a job, or are unemployed. Even kids still in grade school just began their Christmas break. Just be patient, there will be plenty of 50s after the one month mark. If you can't wait, then don't play. You have noone to blame but yourselves. It doesn't matter what MMO you are playing, the population at max level so close to launch date will always be sparse.

Sharding is a very difficult thing to have to deal with. Often times people don't have a second pair of underpants on them for when this happens, let alone if enough shards happen in succession, you will also require a new pair of pants. I can understand how this can be very difficult for you, as well as embarrassing. A good rule of thumb is to always have an extra pair of underwear and a travel package of baby wipes on your person AT ALL times. This can certainly alleviate any embarrassing situation. Also be aware of your surroundings, and where the nearest clothing stores are. Together we can all do our part to mitigate the damage of sharding.

We dropped this last night with guildies (~level 27) and our healer was only 22. The best way to do it is to get them all down to about 5-10%, then burn them all. The healer did run out of force power, but he was under leveled. It was definitely the most difficult encounter in the flashpoint, if not the most difficult up to this point so far. I don't see any reason to nerf them. You're going to eventually have to learn how to defeat difficult encounters as a team if you want to do any type of endgame raiding, so might as well learn now.

If you can afford that tower, a new power supply (go 650 or 700 watts at least with that machine) and a decent video card, i'd go that direction if you're willing to spend the cash. If you wanna spend $200 and be able to play, and bank the leftover for a future machine, go the route of upgrading your current machine.

If you are not comfortable doing the hardware installs (RAM, Video Card, and Power Supply are probably the three easiest hardware upgrades) and you're willing to throw down the cash for a newer machine, then by all means get the newer machine. It will cost you more, but it will run the game better. If you're just looking to get the game up and running in a playable and stable fashion for the cheapest amount of cash, just get a new video card and a power supply if its under 550 watts.
