  1. For a lack of members it's still hard for us to field a regular team. My time zone doesn't allow it. So Maven is missing either a solid DPS or a healer, but maybe we can pool something together on saturday.
  2. Was that the one with the most random ball spike in the end?
  3. You could always ask these better players for advice: how come they are doing so much better. On the Republic side, I and a few other immigrants from different servers, have formed a guild called Maven. If there are more people interested in PVP or would just like to get pointers on how to gear or improve, I encourage you to get in contact with me. Easpeax - republic Neitho - republic Hieronymous - imperial
  4. They are pretty much equal in all regards, just depends on which play-style suits you better.
  5. Two weeks in and it is still unclear to you whether we are talking about space or ground PvP?
  6. I've noticed that the people that don't know make the loudest noise.
  7. I've never understood the vilification of grenade use (be it one-on-one or general yolo, regs etc. warzone) - it's there, doesn't cost you anything and gives you 2 GCDs time (or makes them use a breaker) to either set up for damage or lets you position yourself better. It's like having matches but insisting on going prehistoric to light a fire.
  8. I enjoyed your literary piece of work with my cup of coffee. I was amused and kept nodding in agreement.
  9. I don't know about Ebon Hawk, went there because of torstatus.net, as it gave me the highest population during my playing hours, but the skill-cap has left me bewildered, amazed, amused and stupefied all at the same time. Although I have seen some familiar (in a positive light) names around there, also POT5 emigrants I guess. Edit: Wanted to add that while fun Ebon Hawk is not a competitive server.
  10. Why is this utter nonsense even being discussed?
  11. How else are you to know that you should not be PVP-ing if not thanks to arenas?
  12. I don't see anywhere in my post that could be deemed as name-calling. I like color and it makes it easier to find my own post if need be. You are however contradicting yourself in your posts and seem to be going around in circles. You say people are entitled to their opinions and have the right to express them, but when they do so you tell them to leave your thread. Also, in a thread that is 7 pages long there have been 4 people in agreement with you, the rest have disagreed or found the fault to be somewhere else, not in healing. And this post would be yellow if I could do it on my phone.
  13. I'm pretty sure your post forced him to reply because spreading over-exaggerated misinformation which could lead to poor decision-making on behalf of the developers and dumbing down this game's meta even more affects him directly. 2 out of 3 healer classes die to damage dealing classes without the need to use cc/interrupt - your spike damage is greater than their healing output. That leaves one class (operatives/scoundrels) that requires you to use your utility intelligently (same is required of the healer) to best them. Add in a well played tank and I probably won't be able to kill a good healer - but that already makes 2 opposing players that are tied up and have to deal with me while I do my 1-2-3-4 rotation.
  14. Take a chill pill, stop stalking people. First 10 games try to average/predict your ELO (skill bracket) so you can see a lot of fluctuation. After that you are back to the regular +/- 8-25 points.
  15. You are doing something wrong. VG/PT is a fun cookie cutter class with incredible spike. You just have to manage your defensive cooldowns better.
  16. I'd say all variations of powertech are easy and can be very effective.
  17. I think RNG plays too much of a role in solo queue, you are very dependent on who you get on your team. I am not a very active player but I hovered between 1300-1600 rating season 1 and I seem to be doing so again, both republic and imperial side. I que during different times and completely randomly. It is not uncommon to lose 3-5 games in a row and then crawl out of the ditch again. My ranked game experience usually is: 1) I get a decent team (I know 1/2 other players) and it's a very easy game. 2) Carry the team real hard - which include but is not limited to: you are top deeps, your taunts are spot on, you CC and peel while being the focus target. 3) You messed up, couldn't carry/nothing you do could prevent a loss (either horrible matchmaking or too much badness)
  18. I've had 2 solo ranked games 4 DPS vs 4 DPS them having all sorcs, but I enjoyed my game against a strong PUG group (healer, tank + 2 dps) with my team having me as PT and 3 OPs dps. It was glorious, that night I resigned after that game.

    LOS-ing

It's lag, you could have anywhere from 0.1 - 0.5 seconds lag between you and him. The servers calculate but you can expect some delay when exchanging data to and from you and your target.
  20. Bioware calls it content™ and I heard they tried to trademark it as a business model under intellectual property, but it didn't fly with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office.

    PvP Mainhand

Don't take it the wrong way, but you should stick with PvP gear.
  22. We have some fashionistas in here.
  23. Is this just fantasy?
