  1. Exactly. Look, I like Bioware. I've bought every one of their games. They make great games. But I am not so blind as to not be able to even conceive of them making a mistake or being in the wrong. Dragon Age 2, for example, was a TERRIBLE GAME with a BAD story. Their first such failure. Same thing with these server issues. They put too many players on too few servers, then complicated it by not closing the gates at a manageable level. They were too slow in adding new servers. They started early access with too few servers that resulted in us NOT being spread out but being too densely packed. Now is not the time to make excuses it's time to acknowledge the problem and solve it.
  2. So this means that you guys don't even consider Helm of Garuth to have a problem? There is a MINIMUM 45 minute queue every evening. And that's if you start it before 7PM. After that it goes well over an hour. If that is what you consider ACCEPTABLE service, Bioware, you have another thing coming.
  3. Bioware, I am going to state to you something I said to SOE (and got forum banned for) regarding the NGE when it released and immediately flopped: You have DAYS to fix this queue problem, not weeks, not months. Please get that through your collective minds. If you do not get your act together and fix this problem either by expanding server capacity, adding more servers and opening free transfers, the net result will be snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Which would be a shame. You need to fix this problem or it will be fixed for you in a way you won't like: People aren't going to wait to get access to their characters. They aren't going to re-roll on a new server. They will go elsewhere. Keep this up and TOR will be closing servers and going Free To Pay in a year. The situation as it now stands is intolerable. You clearly underestimated the number of PVP servers that would be needed. You then complicated that by adding them at a trickle, then opening up the game on launch day by only THEN adding a significant number of them. Plus, you continue to allow the problem to get worse by allowing new players onto these servers. The end result is that many of us are on servers YOU PLACED US ON and we can't play the characters we created in Early Access. The net result being that early access was completely meaningless since those characters and guilds are locked behind a queue. Your inexperience with multiplayer, much less massively multiplayer games is showing. How could you NOT realize the demand and calculate accordingly? You knew how many preorders you sold. You knew how many retail boxes you sold and shipped to retailers. You had a darn good idea what would happen when the floodgates opened during weekend testing when we regular Beta testers were walled off from our servers in the exact same manner. There is no excuse for this. Even when we can get in, the experience is poor. How can my guild PVP when we can't even get our own people online? As I said, you need to fix this problem within the next few days or it WILL be fixed FOR you. And you don't want that.
  4. I got charged the full price of the game today by Origin. Therefore I've paid for this game.
  5. Wow... That is... crap. Just like the "uber leet" gear in those stores that look stupid. Glad I saved the money.
  6. We're not playing on "free" anything. We paid for the game. Included with the game is the first 30 days of game time. That is standard with all MMOs. And we paid an extra $5 for a pre-order to be in prior to the open launch. Bioware should have known this was going to happen from what happened in the last two weekend tests. And I'd be more than happy to transfer to a less populated server if I COULD and my guildmates could go too!
  7. As of today, we're paying customers. So, YES, I expect to have access to my server and characters. If new players are clogging up the servers then they need to open more servers and STOP new players from flooding into full ones.
  8. What I most dislike about it is they took away the ability to search for specific pieces of armor. Such as "chest plate" etc. That functionality WAS in a build or two before the final beta. Also, I think at one time you COULD search for specific items!
  9. I thought they said this wasn't a stress test... Same situation as it was in the weekend tests, too many players, not enough servers, and LOOOONG queues. If servers are constantly FULL they should stop allowing new characters to be made on them.
  10. Digital Deluxe has access to that too, right?
  11. I'd like to have something more like this: http://images.mmorpg.com/images/galleries/full/372010/c30117f7-a3d0-40eb-86b9-f8bceea669c7.jpg Yes, the Pre-CU UI. Clean, simple, everything scalable. Seriously, I can live without monitor space wasting "frames" around toolbars, etc. And I HATE having the chat window nailed to the upper left of the screen.
  12. I sort of miss the "Septic Tank O'Doom" effect from the first beta I played in.
