  1. I'm having problems doing the Solo version as well and I can't seem to find any info to help. It's frustrating since I did this fight at launch and know the mechanics but things seem a little different for the Solo version. I came back a few weeks prior to the x-pac launch to play through some of the Class stories and was pleasantly surprised to find the Foundry available as a solo instance but I keep failing and would love some advice. I get him to drop the power core and I beat down the adds but I don't see anything to click in the pillars like I remember from launch. At first I assumed it was because it's solo but I must be missing something because every time I try he comes out of the Powercore he quickly kills the Combat Droid and then me before I can kill him. What am I missing?
  2. Maybe they went too far but it's having the Companions be stronger was a brilliant way for Bioware to make the leveling/story part of the game easier without impacting Raids or PVP.
  3. Terrible idea OP. If you can't kill quest givers and lowbies then no higher levels will come to defend the zone so you won't get your Open World PVP. The only thing that will happen is those high level players from the opposite faction will just go around griefing by killing quest mobs, etc. It's also lore breaking since each faction is supposed to have no knowledge of the location of the starter planets of the opposite side.
  4. This is one of the issues many of us pointed out during the Beta. Would Bioware be able to keep giving us content that was fully voiced?
  5. My only gripe is I think a true expansion would have a different story for each class. That's not to say I'm not looking forward to the new story we're getting but it won't have the replay value of individual Class stories.
  6. That would be a bummer. I've grown to like using mods in Orange gear as I upgrade.
  7. Will the Class quests still reward 12 Basic Commendations or will we be gearing new toons primarily through quests again?
  8. Ahh Thanks. I see it now. Level 44 though so until then I guess it doesn't matter. I may try leveling as Immortal for a bit.
  9. What are the specific abilities that make Vengeance less squishy? I thought Rage and Vengeance share the same abilities from Juggernaut as well as Heavy Armor and then have specific DPS abilities in each Tree. I can't seem to find anything in Vengeance that would make it less squishy than Rage. Is there some self heal or damage mitigation I'm missing?
  10. I've been running through most of the Class stories to take advantage of the XP Boost. I've been gearing via Mods purchased with the extra Commendations (as was reco'd on the forums) for each of the Classes and that's worked well. I feel like I'm at the proper Power level for the story quests for all the Classes I've been playing with the exception of my Juggernaut so I want to ask if I'm doing something wonky. I'm level 24 and currently specced Rage. I have Vette as my Companion. I have all Orange gear with up to date Mods and I feel like I have a handle on the skills but unless I'm fighting Weak enemies I need to heal up after each fight and I go through Health pots like candy when fighting named mobs for the story quests. Should I level as Immortal or do the DPS specs just take time to come into their own?
  11. The strength of TOR has always been the Class Stories. It's never been a great MMO at least to me. I played in Beta and got my entire WOW Guild to play here at launch. We all leveled to 50 then most of us left when we realized we had just finished the best part of the game (leveling). I came back when the Epic Story boost was announced just to play through as many Class Stories as possible. I had already done most of the side quests and FP's the first time I played so I don't feel like I'm missing anything this time by just doing the Class stuff. I'll never Raid again in TOR but I do want to play through the new storylines when the x-pac comes out. I think there are a lot of players like me out there TBH.
  12. I totally agree. Playing a female Chiss Operative was the best story experience so far IMO, especially the first act.
  13. I'm surprised they don't sell gear packs like Rift. Gear won't make bad players better but at least they won't be under geared as well. It's out dated gear anyway so just sell FP quality sets that are level appropriate. Seems like it would be a win/win. Bioware gets money and 12X players can have level appropriate gear. As long as current, max level gear is never sold I don't see a problem.
  14. The mistake you made was even mentioning WOW. There's a bizarre hybrid elitist/chip-on -their-shoulder reaction that you get from a lot of posters here whenever WOW used as a point of reference.
