  1. When will we get real last names? Individual last names for every character instead of having to make multiple characters across multiple servers? Names that are not unique to any one player on a server and act sort of like a title? When will we get this?
  2. WRONG!! 1 to 10 scale a 5 is a C as a C is in the middle. 10 = A + 9 = A 8 = A- and B+ 7 = B 6 = B- and C+ 5 = C 4 = C- and D+ 3 = D 2 = D- 1 = F
  3. It's intended to slap everyone who wants to have individual last names for all their characters in the face. It really is the dumbest idea I've ever seen implimented in an MMO.
  4. Since you're not complaining about sharing a lastname across a server, your complaint is invalid.
  5. Game runs fine for me at highest settings with both 580GTX rig w/i5 CPU and SLI 9800GTX rig w/woldfdale E8400 CPU. It may be an issue with your motherboard's LAN driver. Could also be an issue with your memory. Since you have 6 GB I assume you have an X58 or X79 motherboard?
  6. Which flashpoints? Taral V/Maelstrom is pretty long. (Or Foundry for the Empire) I don't consider the prior ones (minus Esseles) flashpoints. They are more like heroics, with no dialog and no reason to play them out full as all you do is fight to the end, kill boss and leave.
  7. If you don't want to play another class and experience a different story and playstyle, then yeah, bye. I'd imagine it's lonely up there so endgame raids/PvP isn't viable 2 weeks after release.
  8. Are you sure they are complaining about it? Or just pointing it out? I would agree that it is primarily a single player game, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it.
  9. Pfft, Legacy system is crap. I'll make different character on different servers. I have no intention of sharing a last name acorss all my characters. LOL. How dumb was the guy who came up with that? And how dumb was the guy who OK'd it.
  10. As opposed to a full gunnery build lvl 50 with PvP gear fighting another lvl 50 with PvP gear? So your build is meant to do what in a 1vs1??? Outheal enemy dmg? wouldn't you be better off going fully healer for that? It's not like that build is going to win you any fights off of increased DPS output. Or is this your weird way of conceding your wrong gracefully? Or some kind of misplaced sarcasm? It's hard to tell on the internet sometimes.
  11. Because stated that your build would make you a strong healer and DPS. Strong healer: Yes. Strong DPS: No. And hybrid of what? It has nothing in it that makes gunnery gunnery. There is no such thing as a hybrid gunnery DPS/healer when it comes to Commandos. You're just a healer. You're DPS will be practically the same as if you went full healer as you've skipped all the DPS skills. You'll save alittle ammo, but your actually DPS will hardly change. Double stacked grav vortexes for what exactly? Not HIB (which isn't based on vortexes) or Demo Round (which you lack). You're main benefit will be defensive or supportive, but as a healer you won't be spamming grav round and as a DPS you will, but your DPS will be subpar regardless. So what have you really accomplished? You speak as if you've made grav round into the next full auto. The benefits of double vortexes is more for having more dmg when demo round is ready. But as you lack that attack the talent doesn't really matter too much when it comes to your DPS. I use full auto in PvP in duel situations all the time just fine. And I do not lose 1vs1 to anyone save high lvls with PvP gear.
  12. That's not a hybrid. There really is no hybrid spec for Gunnery as the other tress don't really have much synergy with gunnery tree, but lower teir gunnery skills do have synergy with the other trees. Besides a couple 1st teir stat talents in the other trees the gunnery tree is pretty self contained. What you have there is a healer spec with a a little more DPS efficiency. Without Deadly Cannon, Rotary Cannon and Curtain of Fire you completely defeat the purpose of the gunnery line. High, low cost, sustainable DPS. You lack the core abilities that would make a gunnery a good DPS. You even skipped charged barrel. As far as hybridizing, to up DPS you'd be better off going for High Friction Bolt in the assault tree so you have 65% armor pentration (with armor piercing cell) to max out High Impact Bolt. But it's kinda wasteful really to spend all those points to improve HIB when optimizing full auto and getting demo round is cheaper and leave more points to focus on more useful support talents. It would leave you with no Demolition Round and only 1/5 chance of cancelling Full Auto's CD vs 1/3 chance. If you want more alacrity I'd go this route: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#800Mc0MZMIkrRrdkzMZf.1 Maximizing the Gunnery tree is still the best bet. Looking at your build, 9% faster channel time is in no way going to compensate for 33% increased dmg on full auto, 30% bonus crit dmg, up to 30% extra HIB damage and more frequent full auto usage. Not to mention to loss of demolition round that crits very high.
  13. Grav Round is, in fact, a Gunnery only replacement for Charged Bolt. Charged bolt, at higher rankings, will do slightly more damage, but it won't A.) debuff the target's armor, B.) negate Full Auto's cooldown or C.) increase High Impact Bolt's damage. It's bonuses vastly outweight the extra 100dmg you would do with Charged Bolt.
  14. Oddly enough, he is lacluster in story quest boss fights and against average mobs, but he is a champ in groups tanking elites and champions. Very odd. It's like his shield doesn't proc unless he fights really strong foes.
  15. It needs to be individualized. That damn wall waits right til I walk up to it and then pops up at the last second. EVERY FREAKIN TIME!!!
  16. I just wish team mates would stand still when I use it. That sith warrior beating on you has 2 choices. Keep fighting you and take the mortar volley or stop fighting you and move away (thus you're the only one attacking). For the love of god, stop running around like chickens with your head cut off. If you see a friendly target thingy... stay still so it can hit the guy attacking you.
  17. The thing is, in most MMOs the leveling curve tends to get steep as you gain higher levels. I just turned level 36 and I haven't even gone to Alderaan yet which is lvl 28-32. The quest is gray so at least I won't be gain levels too fast. Geting from 35-36 was just was quick as getting from level 15-16.

Although fall damage isn;t the example I would use, seeing as if you're falling you're not going to be doing anything anyway if it is a fatal fall, It does get annoying when the game decides your dead before you actually have 0 health. On many occasions I am unable to use abilities even though I have plenty of time to attack because the game has decided I'm dead before another player actually hit me. I recall one fight in particular with a higher level Maurader during weekend beta. Had just knocked him back and I hit stun and nothing happened. I hit it again; Nothing. He walks back up to me and finishes me off. We both had a sliver of health and he should have been stunned and if the stun damage didn't kill him my next attack would have. But for whatever reason the game decided I was dead even though technically I should have won. Give the distance he was from me after the knocl back it can't be a lag issue. Recharge cells takes 1 second to take me from 0% ammo to about 55% and another sec to arounf 70%. The extra 15% may be a bug or normal ammo recovery kicking in. Adrenaline Rush is always used in the heat of battle and always kicks in right way. Adenaline Rush, along with Reactive Shield, are not "OMG, I'm almost dead" get out of imminenent death abilities. You need to be using them before your health is low. As a commando, whenever I get agro, typically when temporary pulling agro from the healer or going for adds, I pop Reactive Shield and Adrenaline Rush and I can see it counteracting the damage I'm receiving. You may want to make a /bug report if you are aware of this and are still having issues.
  19. It's probably just the animation/sound effects. For some reason I can't stand being shived or force choked. It just feels violating. I have no issue being kicked in the balls, merely levitated or any other stun/dmg ability when playing empire. I can;t stand force push either. The distance you get kncoked back just seems ridiculous. In huttball I have been knocked like halfway across the court or away from a gun turret on Alderaan and nearly to the stairs leading down through the center. But, you just have to live with it. I can still beat ANY melee that isn't overleveled in PvP gear and I can still beat any IA that isn't overleveled or in PvP gear 1vs1. This is without even using my 2 minute CD shield ability and making the occasional mistake. So it all evens out.
  20. Force leap is fine. Give the melee a bone. They should be useful at something. And you can counteract that by not standing around waiting for them to come to you. I am always cautious on the railing and check to see what class has the ball. If they are warriors I get the hell off. I agree with the force speed though. Sages/Inquisitors have enough good stuff going on. They defeinitely don't need skill that completely bypasses the ball carrying penalty. Especially when it seems like every damn attack in the game has a slow effect.
  21. Not really. If you PvP you'll outlevel everything and you'll have a choice, however the worlds are all level bracketed so the game gives you a choice, per say, but not a good choice. For instance, I was level 22 when I left coruscant. I could have skipped the lvl 16-20 planet and went to the 20-24 planet, but then I'd have to do the former anyway and then everything would be grey from the get go as I'd be lvl 26ish by the time I got to it.
  22. I've had armor mods that I've put in simply dissappear at random times. I was doing a heroic with a guy and I've been passes on most stiff as they were all jedi drops. Then I get one that says +71 armor and everything else was + something. Then I notice it's a robe. A medium armor robe. In the middle of the quest the armor mod vanished and I"m running arounfd with a 25 armor rating. This has happened twice so far. So I had to wear that jedi robe for the rest of the quest as it was the highest armor chestpiece I had on me. I've also had what you say happen, although it didn't ruin the armor level. I don't I actually set the mod into the armor slot. When I saw the new slot I backed down. Closed and it and reopened it. At which point it was ack to 2. One thing I have notcied is that the Cancel button no longer works. You move a mod over and it's as good as done. No need for confirmation that the changes are what you really want. Only the apply button works which I'm sure has to be a bug. Why have the Cancel button if you can't cancel?
  23. Well, the only way they can dominate is by rushing to max level and picking on lower level people wh don;t have access to the PvP armor they do. They are all going to rage quit when actual skilled players reach that level and they are getting steam rolled in every match.
  24. Then they don;t have to use it. LGG spamming on general chat isn't exactly my idea of necessary player interaction for the health of a MMO.
  25. This is the first game in which I ever played a DPS. I usually always tank, but since I'm going to play every story anyway I'll be playing tanks, DPs and healers. I feel for you. Even as a "mindless DPS" I get pissed when I state: A.) marking this target means it's getting a 60sec stun B.) Do not use AOE. (this should be easy as most AOE is "mana" depleting and not sustainable. Another gripe is when healers think that just because they can DPS in this game, that it means they should. As if doing both isn't going to drain their "mana". It's either they use AOE regardless or they'll steal the icon I was using to mark targets. There are like 6 or 7 icons why are you taking the one I just said I am using? One fight I was surprised we actually survived. We had 2 elites and a champion and I was the only one to market a target. Instantly, from the get go eveything went to hell as the first thing the do is break the stun and we're fighting all 3 simultaneously, constantly having to shift targets to get agro off the healer. I should not have to DPS tank as a commando because the tank can't work around another player's incompetence. It's like they just want to throw out the most damage to the greatest amount of enemies in the shortest time possible. I guess full auto and grav round are too boring looking. OMG!! Incendiary grenades, hail of bolts and mortars look cooler.
