  1. Shut up, fanboy. My waiting is a direct result of their intentional deception. "Standby a check your email for an invite". They knew ahead of time who they were going to invite and they strung us along for no other reason than to be jerks.
  2. I'm in and I care. Not so much that it was staggered, but that Bioware knew what date ranges were getting in when and chose to intentional deceive people into thinking they have a chance at getting in when they don't. I wasted a whole morning yesterday waiting on an invite I stood no chance of getting since I redeemed 1 Aug.
  3. I agree. I just made al my characters. When I made the jedi knight i ran over to the starter area because in beta it was always overcrowded. I was the only toon on all of Tython. It was just me on my instance. Did a /who. It was just me. All of them were empty. I only saw another player on Ord Mantell. Just 1 guy. Have Tython to myself is nice given how the quest thingies are on timers and too many people makes it difficult to complete quests, but as I get to heroics and flashpoint I'm going to be SOL.
  4. Where have you been? http://www.swtor.com/media/trailers/taral-v-developer-walkthrough
  5. The twilek died in the Malgus novel and that smuggler is probably an old man by now. Most the the characters from the web comics are in.
  6. And then some nephew of his turns darkside and topples the new republic (by the way, Palpatine;s Empire never falls. It's still around hundreds of years after Luke dies). Then the new new republic is formed. Then they merge with the Empire. The same thing is supposed to happen in this era as well. So the empire is never outright defeated. Only the sith and probably at their own hands. A better thread title would be, "Playing a Sith: Pointless since they can't stop killing each other".
  7. How do you have a bonus wave in the middle of the regular waves? And if it was so unexpected, why did it conform to the 2hr wave schedule? Obviously they intended to do 5 from the start. They called it a bonus to give the impression that they are throwing us a bone. The fact that they stopped sending invites at 2pm tell me they had a set amount they wanted in from the get go. The underpopulated servers tell us that they did not, in fact, throw us any bone. "Bonus wave"... right. Hopefully today the servers won't be all light and standard and we can actually enjoy warzones and more easily form groups for flashpoints.
  8. I'm not sure if they are really vampires or golems. I watched the 2nd and 3rd movie today and when they get hit hard it sounds like steel pipes snapping and they actually crack. And when they lose a limb there is no meat... just marble or limestone or whatever the heck it was. And nobody ever offers them eye drops for their obviously red/orange eyes or says, "Hey, what the f is up with your eyes?". I had to get that off my chest.
  9. I was unaware that 1st day EGA was Empire only.
  10. I will slit my own wrist in front of a Twilight vampire.
  11. My wife was invited. The servers were light and standard. The info on the server status page is bs. I've seen it with my own eyes.
  12. You're griping about being ganked on a PvP server. Maybe PvE servers are more up your alley.
  13. Can't stand the fire, don't go in the kitchen.
  14. Same here. I preorder the moment they were available. But that doesn't matter for EGa because the retailers decided when I could enter my code. Oh, and Bioware's faulty website didn't let me login for awhile even after I got the code.
  15. Can't stand the fire, get out of the kitchen.
  16. You can't chose to join an empty warzone. The game picks it for you. It's an intentional mechanic. It simply isn;t meant to occur frequently and consequetively. It's up to Bioware to work that out.
  17. Should have pre-ordered early and cancelled down the road if you didn't want it. I still have a CE and SE preorder with release date delivery, but not sure which one I want to keep. I'll have to decide fast.
  18. Not if Bioware keeps making stupid decisions. Coming out of beta, they have made some dumb decisions, and the overall game is of a lesser quality than it should be. The game was at its best in Sep then it started going downhill. We can only hope for the best, but as long as they keep treating this like it's a single player game I have my doubts that the anger will subside as Bioware will keep rekindling it.
  19. So what??? Nobody should ever join a PvP server if they don't get the game on day 1?
  20. Vgchart or whatever site it is. He does no realize that those were only in store preorders. It doesn't include online pre-orders.
  21. They wished to avoid a bad launch, but they created one instead. It's only a "smooth high quality experience" for people who are playing. For everyone else (the majority) it's crap. IMO this is worst than most MMO launches. You have a minority that has a great launch, but the majority of people have the worst launch seeing as the servers were all down (as far as everyone else is concerned.) I'd rather have everyone have a crappy launch then most have a horrid launch and a few chosen ones have a great one. But that's just me. Aquarius are all about fairness;) Today was launch day. Not tommorrow and not a week from now. And this was the worst MMO launch I have ever seen. I'm not necessarily angry, but I'm very dissapointed. More due to the fact that Bioware already knew who wasn;t getting in today and chose to intentionally deceive people into wasting a day waiting for invites that they never stood a chance of getting.
