  1. Doesn't matter if there have always been bad players, doesn't matter if there are other orifices they could've spewed from, fact remains that with events like this there are more t**ds in the pool.
  2. Because it continually unmarks the opposite team's healers. Only one target per raid can have that marker on them, sooooooo if all 8 are used on your own team cos of one troll, how many are left for the other team? Give you a clue, it's a nice round number.
  3. 1st scamper into centre of group you want to drop it on, hit hotkey, 2nd scamper out. This will of course result in only 3 people beside you getting hit with Kolto Cloud, but 3 is better than none and if it's ticking on you then you're still building stacks of Upper Hand. Not perfect, but might be helpful.
  4. My, you are a nasty little piece of work aren't you? I'm just going to let you stew in your own bile, because there is no way in hell I'm getting into the kind of slanging match you want. I know my education, I know I'm perfectly capable of responding to your attack without resorting to the kind of chicanery you attribute to me. Just know that I feel sorry for you, believing your own lies like you seem to do. You need a hug. You may not want one, but have a *hug* anyway. I hope you start to feel better about yourself soon enough that you don't drive everyone you care about away.
  5. No, I meant the exact opposite of what you've taken it to mean. The people who wanted all these xp boosts, who wanted an easy way to 55, treat the levelling process not as part of the game, but as an obstacle to them getting to endgame, the only part of the game they see as worthwhile. As for the 2nd part, no, that's not what I said. I referred to the game "as it was originally envisaged", as the developers stated the game they intended to make in all the pre-release videos. I made no reference *whatsoever* to others' love or otherwise of Star Wars, in fact all I referred to there was the developers stated intent.
  6. You went with the typical internet ad hominem strawman and then sought to defend it with the same tired trick. Sarcasm is not required, nor is it an adult way of arguing.
  7. Oh look. More sarcasm that does nothing but signpost that the following text will be mean-spirited, small-minded and lacking in the ability to see any viewpoint but the poster's own. *snip more strawman sarcasm* What specific way of levelling? Doing the content that BW put into the game? I do each flashpoint once as I level up so I can enjoy the story, I do each quest as it gives a nice feel of helping others rather than barging through on very important Jedi or Sith business. I play the game and enjoy doing it. How is that very specific? Oh I see, it wasn't, you just felt like piling into someone with whom you disagreed and wanted to tear down the person rather than the argument with more strawman crap. It's funny, people accuse those of who'd like a toggle of whining. How about looking at it the other way round - xp boosts, double xp weekends and now 12x class story boosts only exist because a bunch of lazy, me-generation "whiners" (oh look, anyone can use that word to denigrate the person rather than address the issue) complained and complained and moaned and moaned that levelling was such a chore and they wanted to be level 55 NAO. So if BW can cave to those whiners, let's see if the tactic works the other way, just to give those of us who'd rather not be cheesed to 55 by the devs themselves a chance to play the game as we would like to. Why should I avoid my class quest in order to go back when it turns grey, returning to a planet I'd already completed and left? All we ask is ONE tick box in the preferences to Disable Enhanced Experience. One little UI change, but in every thread of its type there are always the detractors like you and DarthTHC. Yes, I know I said I wasn't going to engage with the likes of you and although I've replied, I am still happy if you're happy about the 12x xp. Just grant the same respect to those of us who would prefer to play the game as it was envisaged - a story-based tour through the Star Wars universe so many of us love, not this rush to 55 that so many people seem to consider not even part of the game.
  8. Please don't be deliberately obtuse. It doesn't add anything other than empty sarcasm.
  9. As I said in the 2nd line of my post, I already have preordered. As it stands it's either take the 12x xp or miss out on a preorder bonus or two. I'm asking for a 3rd option. All they have to do is code a 2nd Accept button on class mission turn-in windows, one with the full 12x xp, one with the standard reward. Not too hard to do, surely.
  10. Well I'm that someone. I love levelling alts, I love playing the stories and I love the emails you get after sidequests that put that little human touch on them. I pre-ordered the expansion because I want the game to carry on and succeed, in the hope that class stories will come back again. So I'm asking for that toggle. I'd like to continue to level alts throughout the next 2 months but without the massive xp boost from class stories. I'm happy for people who want to power a new character to 55 without spending 5 or 6 hours on each planet, more power to them. I'd like the other people, those of us who savour the experience each time, like rereading a favourite book or watching a favourite film, to be able to carry on while still showing BW the support of a pre-order. I know there will be flamers replying, telling me I'm whining because of something they consider good. I've no intention of replying to those, as I'm happy for them if they're glad of the xp boost and respect that position. I just would like my position to be acknowledged and get the ability to disable the 12x xp boost on an account-wide or per-character basis. Thanks.
  11. I think anyone on Shadowlands knows who you mean. Begins with M, ends with R, right?
  12. Thinking I could reset the small sub-area I'd been working on, I went for the pick up room option. My Tatooine SH went from 49% all the way down to 3%, leaving only the hangar untouched. Who on earth decided the entire balcony, indoor area, tunnel, all the outdoor areas apart from the actual doored rooms was one area? Thanks for all those hours of effort wasted.....
  13. Call it personal preference, but a well-geared tank takes so little damage from the conal I'd rather he didn't move. I can heal through that peashooter on a tank, but when it starts hitting the dps cos the tank is running around like a speed-addled grasshopper.....
  14. Funny thing is I see these being called for on TRE, but as my main is on Shadowlands I can't link the achievements from there, so I end up not bothering as "log to another server and I'll link the achievement" just sounds.....needy.
  15. Random dps wants to be carried through HM S&V, as shown by a) 2T 2H which means all he has is 4 dps and b) asking other people to link an achievement he does not have himself. Did I get it right just by looking at the picture?
  16. NiM KP, arranged via gen chat so not group finder per se. As usual the 4 dps are spamming fleet for healers and tanks, but my Sorc has had EV and EC done for ages and damn I want that shiny black speederbike, so I agree to heal. We finally get a pair of tanks and most of the raid zones in, at which point I see the first tank. Pink sith (dark side with corruption showing) in Dramatic Extrovert set, already has the other healer guarded. Alarm bells deafening, stick finger in ear and wiggle around a bit, shake head to clear ringing. On inspection, the horror intensifies. Defence chance around 11.5%, mostly stock 156 with accuracy and absorb. Out of curiosity I later asked that tank what their shield/absorb were - around 35% and 32%. They were squishy as hell, especially on Foreman Crusher. The other tank, what can I say? Name was a single letter removed from Vader, which already told me a lot. Mouthy, tunnel-visioner in Eradicator shells, so far so predictable. No attempt to tank Sorno when Jarg leaps to the balcony, leaving our poor lightning sorc or marksman sniper face tanking instead. Fortunately the carboniser probes were dealt with in decent time, but it was still hell to heal during those phases. Foreman Crusher, not-Vader calls the boss, pulls and parks him by a wall then promptly disconnects. Squishy UnderBoobTank takes FOREVER to taunt. The 2 marauderps completely ignore the adds, leaving them to pound on healers or lightning sorc. UnderBoobTank almost dies 4 or 5 times during frenzy and I'm desperately typing "adds", "kill the mother********* adds" in an attempt to get their attention with foul language. Finally Crusher dies and I breathe a sigh of relief. Surely the worst is over. Oh wait, this is KP. I know what's next. *cry* Yes, the stupid-killing derpblock that is Fabricator. I make futile attempts to marshall a sensible strat, but notVader has by now reconnected and pressed the starter button. He's doing ready checks, asking if we can get going. I finally have to put "NO! We are not even close to being ready" in raid chat to get him to shut up. One of the marauderps complains about being put on button duty as he "does current NiM content". I mollify him somewhat by pointing out it's hard enough to keep notVader and UnderBoobTank alive as it is without adding more melee. I eventually give up and tell him to go dps and that I will personally handle that button. As it turned out, I was on the right button in the end, not the middle one. Each time we had the puzzle assembled, there followed 30s of "Get out of the black square", "Get on the stripes", "GET ON THE MOTHER******* STRIPES" before finally Extricating UnderBoobTank up onto the platform so I can hit the button without killing her. notVader is screaming at us to fire it, with apparently zero concept of where his co-tank is standing. He manages to die by standing in stupid himself, and then takes almost a minute to accept the combat res. I'm finally ready to fire for the fourth time when Fabricator dies and it takes all my self-control to simply type "nm" into chat instead of the heartfelt tirade I could feel hardening my arteries. Still, I got a Karagga's helm out of it. The first pull with the cannons, both tanks go in and tunnel vision, so yours truly attracts healing aggro from an Eye of Karagga, gets yanked in and punted off the platform in less time than it takes to sigh brokenly. 2 Extricates later (yay edge of platform bug) and we're on our way to the big slug himself. An explanation of the fight is given, including an oh-so-pretty line of purple tank markers to indicate the path the tank should take and extra care given to "just get to the edge of an oil patch, don't run all over the place". I should've saved myself the effort. The very first oil patch, notVader, who's decided he's tanking the boss, runs off in multiple random directions. The melee give chase, swinging wildly at the slugs rapidly receding nether regions. By the time we were finally done, my hair was in clumps and greyer than ever, and the nice neat line of oil patches was actually somewhat reminiscent of a starfish that's been brutally attacked with a half ton of bricks. The marauderps had given up trying to find a safe space to stand. notVader's feeling pretty self-congratulatory and, of course, won the decoration item. I couldn't resist admitting in Ops chat that it was the single worst experience of that fight I had ever had. A couple of raid members thanked me for trying to give advice, however unheeded it had been. I just headed to the terminal to get my Nightscythe and decided I need to get in some XCOM time where at least the soldiers largely follow orders.....
  17. God only knows how any tank on SL would not want to do that with Rambeezy healing. Even one WZ with him in it tells you how good his healing is.
  18. You didn't say which server you're on. Might be players able to hook up with you and run a FP or two.
  19. You can still generate threat on the boss while moving. Force Sweep works even if you're facing away from the boss, Stasis for tanks is a fire n'forget threat move, AoE taunt doesn't share a c/d with single target taunt, bladestorm can be used if you turn around long enough to fire it off. You've got about 10-15s after engaging the boss to get a full threat rotation in before the first generator goes off. You should always be queueing up your next threat move and once you've tanked enough you'll *know* what your next move is as the timing will be ingrained.
  20. Just picked it up, Damaged Scanner Droid was my last one. Didn't even know about this achievement until this thread got bumped. Thanks folks!
  21. Operative/scoundrel with HoTs running or a Merc/Commando reactive heal thingy will trigger the moment your health bar has space to be filled. A sorc/sage or a lazy Op/Scoun, not so much.
  22. He said "spammed", not used. Deliberate obtuseness does not help your case.
  23. Ran into one yesterday from that particular organisation. TFB HM, clear sailing until Op 9 with all but person F (low dps, low awareness commanderp who queried whether a 36k tank could handle TFB HM ). First wipe due to miscommunication between tanks and some other minor issues. Commanderp suddenly has to go. 2 more knocking-off-the-rust wipes later, Op 9 goes down and with 1 hiccup on the Terror (tank trying to dodge big add + spit + baby add wave manages to aggro 2 babies and dies with battle res on c/d), the place is cleared and all are happy. I swear that guild exists only to roll need on everything, expect easy loot and run away after the first wipe.
