  1. Getting the 308 error as well. First time I have had problems like this during patch since the launch of the game.
  2. Greetings I was wondering if it would be possible to add the water animation that you see in the in-game equivalent to the Selkath Kolto Tank housing decoration that you see in the Depths of Manaan flashpoint. It is one of the coolest landscape animations I have seen and would, I think, look awesome in the strongholds. Cheers.
  3. You need to read the bit above the graph again. That chart was for level 50s only, and showed no data for planetary time spent levelling. The percentage of game time spent on planets that was shown in the graph was for time spent by 50s doing dailies/gathering/wandering aimlessly, and not for anyone levelling a new char.
  4. Lulz. Gotta love that self-aggrandized posturing.
  5. Hush, Elitist. No one cares how good you think you are.
  6. The gear doesn't scale. You could see right away as soon as you opened the character window that even though all the gear is equipped, it is greyed out and so isn't actually being used. Not only that, but I saw the other day a post on the PTS forums confirming that the gear doesn't scale.
  7. I hate to be rude, but I have a feeling that you would have an incredibly hard time learning how to play Captain or Lore-Master in Lotro. Not to mention that re-traiting a Champ from Berserker to Martial Champion would have you tearing your hair out when you parsed your numbers. Sometimes a DPS class isn't always just DPS....
  8. Yes, because they are never going to raise the level cap (which they have already said they are going to do) and because they are never going to add more chapters to the existing story (which they have already said they are going to do) and because every MMO in existence has ended/stopped/gone into stasis after the first max level and has never expanded after that (/rollseyes).
  9. Absolutely False. LucasArts, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of LucasFilms and thus was acquired by Disney (Didney Worl!) when it purchased the parent company.
  10. Not to mention that LucasArts =/= LucasFilm. LucasFilm makes movies, LucasArts makes games.
  11. And say it with me folks....all together now? And a 1, and a 2, and a 3.... RETCON!!!
  12. If it's the Jedi Academy Tril., I will shoot myself in the face.
  13. Really? Seriously? Your solution to the problem is to inconvenience even more subscribers? All's fair in love and server crashes, apparently.
  14. This is a bit misleading, because if you are even reasonably geared and have reasonable skill, you can solo the majority of the heroic dailies in both factions, or at least enough to occupy yourself for a couple of hours if you run them with a couple or three of the regular mish. And if you can't solo the 2 and 2+ heroics, Google a lrn2play guide for your class, because you need to get better so you aren't a drag on your group when the LFG does pop.
  15. Well, at least PvEers won't have to sit around and wait on you any longer so you can get those extra couple of comms.
  16. Greetings, I have no problems with FPS...sits right at ~60 like its supposed to with VSync on. However, I experienced the stuttering problems. I disabled shadows, no change. Then one by one I disabled or turned to low all of the other graphics options and still had the stuttering. Then I noticed that the stuttering only occurs when moving the camera view in a vertical direction, never when strictly horizontal. I then tried disabling VSync and still no change. I was running the game in Fullscreen mode, but then switched to Fullscreen (Windowed) and all problems were solved, plus my FPS went up, thought that really wasn't a concern. The only caveat is that I have to keep Shadows on Low to prevent the stuttering. Hope this helps some of you straighten things out. Edit: The downside to this is that it makes my 560Ti run about 8 to 10 deg C hotter than usual.
  17. Look up how astronomers measure the variable characteristics of binary stars, such as apparent magnitude and luminosity, and you will understand the logic of how something that is a source of light itself can actually cast shadows. (Hint: Even though a star, like a fictional lightsaber, is not a solid object it nevertheless occupies space and thus casts a shadow when there is a source of light behind it. In other words, the shadow a light saber will cast in the game comes from any source of light around it.) Maybe you should educate yourself a bit before disparaging the critical-thinking capabilities of the devs. Oh, wait....I have read some of your hyperbolic posts before. Nevermind.
  18. You do realize that Erikson was the Senior/Lead WRITER, and so had absolutely nothing to do with programming code and fixing bugs or making design decisions like how often the music plays (which, if you had actually been paying attention, falls under Shubert's purview) or what type of customer they wanted to attract? Maybe next time know your facts before slagging someone for something (or things) that they had absolutely nothing to do with. @Daniel....Thanks for the great story that you and your team of WRITERS (emphasis for the dimwit I am quoting) came up with and I wish you the best for the future.
  19. You can't hotfix something if you haven't actually come up with a solution yet, and as for Lotro, go ask the longtime Burgs about how fast Turbine is with getting class fixes out. Or better yet, ask me....as a Champ who was 50 when Bk 1 Chp 9 came out (June 2007) I, like all other Champs, had to wait ages for them to get Raging Blades to work properly.
  20. And you might want to check the date when that guy posted....June 6th... Now, my memories may be fuzzy, but I am pretty sure that was before the interLegacy mail service began.
  21. I have yet to play a single MMO where the development team was allowed to post on the forums about what they were working on with regard to new content, or fixes to existing content for that matter, unless it was an official dev diary about an upcoming expansion or content update that had already been announced. Btw, if you are going to make a statement about what other MMO developers do in comparison to BW/EA, then please provide some examples. The burden of proof lies with the one making the claim(s). This, of course, also applies to the seemingly never-ending posts by people about how quickly the TOR content is coming out.
  22. 1) Farm those crates; 2) Repeat.... 3) ??? 4) Profit! (i.e. get both)
  23. How is this confusing? It can be inferred that they are still clearing up the details, that the details will be released when ready and please be patient. Execution of design decisions takes time on any project, especially one of this scale.
  24. Don't presume to speak for the community. There are always people like myself who are always willing to listen, even if the answers drive us crazy.
  25. Yes, because everyone in the world except for EA/BW has done everything perfectly in their lives and have met every deliverable/deadline that they have ever been given or attempted to make. Mistakes are made, deadlines missed, goals are sometimes too optimistic. It happens. Btw, responding to self-involved entitlement d'bags with ridiculous expectations in an appropriate manner isn't arrogance, just self-defense. Play the game or don't, but stop posting garbage just for the sake of boosting your own sense of self-worth. This game has problems that need to be addressed and if they aren't, TOR will probably fade away...but threads like this do not help in any way, shape or form.
