  1. The only confusion here is internal to bioware, where some developer mistakenly thought it was time for Season 4 replica rewards instead of Season 3, and went through the process of copying and renaming them. Now you don't want to do the work over again. But sure, let's label it as confusion on the players' part. How insulting.
  2. Found it. Thanks. I guess only way is to just buy stuff from that vendor and disintegrate it. Faster than copying characters but will still take a while.
  3. New Armor, or Armor we don't have on Live that we'd like to test. Tech Fragments do not transfer with characters. There are no vendors on Odessen anymore like previous PTS Testing. Short of transferring characters over and over with gear to disintegrate for tech fragments, which would take hours, I'm not seeing a way to acquire the gear for testing?
  4. If I had to guess how it would work - They have currency that is per character, and currency that is stored in legacy. So, two different places in the database they are likely stored. I'm also guessing they have a 'versioning' system for characters which is processed when they log in. If a character logs in for the first time since a version was implemented (like, after a patch), it will process the script for that version. So, again guessing, it would probably involve adding the new currency in Legacy, and creating a versioning script on login to convert character tokens to legacy tokens. This is based on my experience in game development and how I've observed the system may work from years of playing this game. It doesn't seem like that much work but that could depend on how their database and code/scripting is setup.
  5. Hey Eric, Is this still something planned? Thanks!
  6. Yea I'm afraid now that since it will be skipping the solo tank or healer, it means they'll be first in line for a backfill, which (atleast prior to this patch) does not check for same role backfilling.
  7. I like this change for top 96, but I think it’s not needed for tiered rewards. If you get to gold before getting 100 wins you’re now stuck queueing until 100 wins even if that means you get 300 losses, since gold is based on highest rating you’ll still get it. It hinders people who play several characters.
  8. This has been reported by many people, including myself ( http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=964916 ). The solo ranked queue will randomly break and not pop for upwards of an hour or more, even when there's more than enough people in the queue (Sometimes 20 people in queue and it still won't pop). We suspect this may be due to someone in the queue as a tank or heal, and they reach the top but the game can't find another tank or healer to match with them, so it gives up, instead of popping an all DPS game. Please look into this, Star Forge queues sometimes get caught for over an hour and people log off. It's killing solo ranked.
  9. There's already a utility for this.
  10. As someone who plays Marauder in Solo Ranked, this is a bit too much. A 25% Damage increase for 4 abilities? The Carnage Marauder can already do upwards of 75k damage in the opener. If you increase this by 25% BEFORE Crit (Which means that you are essentially increasing the damage by way more), I wouldn't be surprised if a Carnage Marauder can kill someone from full in the span of a single stun. Yes, damage buffs apply before Crit, which means your crit will modify it again. That makes a 25% damage buff essentially a 43% damage buff. That means we're going to see 40k+ Auto-Crit Devestating Blasts. Followed by a ~35k Gore (Also an auto-crit with Set Bonus), and then potentially a 25k Vicious Throw. This is assuming current gear and health pools, which I can only imagine will not scale up appropriately with the new levels (DPS has always outpaced Health Pools). I don't even want to get started with Fury maras and their ability to do more damage than Carnage (just less bursty but more sustained) with their increased control, survivability, and stun immunity. And then we have Predation refreshing Camoflauge? Just... no. It's already a challenge enough to chase Marauders, now all they have to do is make sure they hit Camo FIRST, then hit Pred (Doesn't break camo), and speed off to their heal spot. Get chased? Camo is already back up. Wait until they're just about to turn the corner on you, and now hit Camo again and go run somewhere else. By then, they're out of combat and you can't find them using the map anymore.
  11. This has been happening since S10 Started (when all the matchmaking systems got changed). Just now, the Star Forge server went for about an hour with no solo ranked pop, when we knew there were more than enough people in the queue. Finally, when a pop happened, it spawned 2 matches and even then there were people who didn't get a pop, indicating that the were plenty of people in queue. This is not just an isolated event. It happens on a nightly basis, in the middle of prime time. Something is causing the system to get caught up and not pop a match for large delays at a time. Again, this only started after the matchmaking changes when S9 ended / S10 started. Devs, if you could check and/or put some debugging on the system that could determine why this is happening. The ranked scene is already rather small, and this is causing more people to stop playing. When people assume that there's not enough people to make a game, they just log off and stop playing.
  12. Eric, Are there any reasons behind Ranked Tokens not being legacy wide? The high prices of the Replica items really limits and forces us to play the same character for a massive amount of time to achieve enough tokens to purchase. Many of us enjoy playing many characters in ranked.
