  1. Hi everyone, Update on the Hermit's Vigil unlock in Collections. Specifically, this known issue: Players who received the incorrectly named Elite Tactician Blaster Pistol will not be able to use it to unlock the Hermit's Vigil in Collections. A fix for this is not possible to roll out in a patch, however, we want to ensure that this unlock works for player who received the incorrectly named pistol. We ask those players to reach out to our support team at Support@swtor.com to request the unlock. Please be sure to include your account name when reaching out. Thanks for your patience, all.
  2. Hi all, We are still unable to reproduce this issue during our testing and investigation, so the team would like some additional information from players who are experiencing this issue. For groups who are seeing dead players during their Ops run, what happens when the "dead" players is set as a focus target? Do they show up as alive again or does nothing happen? Appreciate any assistance with helping us track down what's causing this issue. Thanks!
  3. Hi everyone, The account pages have been updated and all web pages should now be available as normal. We did discover that players who are locked out of their accounts may not be able to reset their passwords, so we are actively working on a fix. I'll keep this thread updated with more info as I get it. Thanks!
  4. Hello everyone, Update regarding the account page upgrades. We will need to extend the timeline on the rollout of these upgrades which will impact log ins for a period of time. The forums will still be available for players who were logged in prior to 9am CT, however, it will be in read-only for anyone logged out. This does not impact your game account at all. I will post another update regarding the rollout timeline when I have more info. Thanks!
  5. Hey everyone, We’re making some site upgrades to the account pages on swtor.com starting tomorrow (December 14th) morning. These changes will improve both the ease of use for players on the front end and streamline processes on the backend that will allow for us to build further upon our modernization efforts. The rollout will begin at 9am CT / 3pm UTC and we are estimating that it will take roughly 3 hours. While the swtor.com site will not be taken down, there may be instances where pages may error out. If you run into said errors, please wait at least 10 minutes before reloading the page again. This rollout will not impact any of the game’s servers. Below is a list of known issues that are being tracked by the web team. Using the browser back button can break the page, displaying a screen-wide loading bar. Clicking on the SWTOR logo in the top left of the page switches language to English. Players who attempt to create an account with a name that is already taken will see a generic error message as opposed to a message stating the account name is already used. Players who are using desktop browsers with a resolution of 1920x1080 may see issues with the key art background being cut off. The character transfer history pop up window can be difficult to read due to its transparent background allowing players to see the page behind it. Various minor layout issues with small mobile sizes Various minor layout issues with translation strings being larger than expected. As usual, when the rollout is complete, I will unlock this thread and leave it open in case there are issues that players need to report. Thanks all!
  6. Hi everyone, Heads up that we have seen reports of several items not retaining their unlock functionality if bought from the GTN. Affected items include: Server Character Slot Commander's Character Tokens Customization Control: Hide Head Slot Species Unlock: Nautolan Unlock: Cargo Bay (account) Customization Control: Display Legacy Name and Titles Galactic Trade Network: 10 sale slots (account) Galactic Trade Network: 10 Buy Slots (Account) Unlock Outfit Designer Slot (Account) Legacy Stronghold Storage Additional Bay (Account) Unlock: Inventory Module (Account) We just released a hotfix today that will keep these items from being sold on the GTN for the time being. We will be releasing a fix in a future patch. Players can continue to trade the above items via the Trade Window, use the COD function, or by storing them in a Guild back and having the recipient claim the item in lieu of using the GTN.   8. Hi everyone, Okay! I'm going to be updating my OP with the following info: A 50% Collection Unlock sale will be running from December 20 - January 9, 2024. The Life Day daily unique items are still being run daily, however, players can see other items (including the Wampa Companion, snow globes, and festive weapon tuning) on the Popular tab for a more comprehensive list of other Life Day, festive, and winter themed items that are on sale.   12. And just confirming, did you also see files in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\DiskCacheStatic C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\DiskCacheStream and delete them? Or were there no files in those locations to begin with?
  13. The former is correct. I am asking players to use the community support email for this specific issue. But support@swtor.com should continue to be used for all other game related issues.
  14. Good morning, everyone, Following up on the freezing screen issue. First, thank you to everyone who submitted the DxDiag and client_settings_ini files. Second, below are potential workarounds for this issue. Delete the DiskcacheStatic and DiskCacheStream files if they are found in the following paths: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\DiskCacheStatic C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\DiskCacheStream With the game closed/not running, RENAME the client settings ini file to client_settings_broken.ini. This can be found here: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings To reiterate, these are potential workarounds as they have worked for some players, but not all. We are still investigating and trying to repro this issue. The team is asking for the following information relevant to the SECOND bullet point. Please read through the following breakdown fully. If you are currently experiencing the frozen loading screen issue and you RENAME (not delete) the client settings ini file, run the game and if it works, we are requesting that you submit the following to communitysupport@swtor.com The original Client_settings.ini file Client_settings_broken.ini file (this is the one you renamed) And a DXDiag report (please only send in a recently run file) The team needs would like to see a before and after comparison of the ini files hence the instruction to rename the file first. When you submit the files, please be sure to include your SWTOR account name. Thanks all!
  15. @TrixxieTriss The team needs some additional info regarding the memory leak issue you're experiencing. We are still investigating and trying to repro the issue. Regarding the character you are using that runs into this issue, can you PM (if if you're fine posting here, feel free) the character loadout and the outfits pieces your character is currently wearing?

We're still investigating and would love to know the following: If the game is NOT currently running, please go to the following locations: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\DiskCacheStatic C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\DiskCacheStream Please answer the following: Do you see these files? Are they read-only? When you delete the files (it's safe to do so!), what happens when you run the game? Does deleting these files change what happens when you run the game?
  18. Following up on the freezing loading screen issue. For any players who have NOT sent in the following log files to support, we are asking you to supply them if possible. These logs are typically stored on the following paths, but you'll find them wherever you installed the game. Please send the following log files to support@swtor.com.   19. Can you confirm exactly what screen you're referring to when you say "loading screen". Is it that you can't get past the 7.4 key art screen or after you select a character to get into the game? You can also provide an image either here or sending me a PM. @HanniShindeiru if you could also answer the above, that would be helpful as well.

  21. Hi again, Currently, we are tracking two issues: Freezing loading screen Memory leak in certain parts of the game. The team is asking for more information which I will detail below. I am asking for responses from only players who are impacted by these issues and can provide the answers we need in order to troubleshoot further. For players who are experience the freezing screen issue: Does your application become unresponsive and you crash or does the loading screen just sit there forever? Does using control + U twice close the loading screen and allow you to play the game? For players who are experiencing a memory leak: Does this happen for all your characters? If only specific ones, which characters? Does this happen on every server? If only specific ones, which server(s)? Again, if you are not a player experiencing the above issues, please give impacted players the space to provide the info we need. Thanks!

  23. @CadeStive @TrixxieTriss The team needs more info! When do you see the memory climbing? Is it at character select, or open world, PvP, Ops, etc...? Do you see it all the time or just with certain areas and activities? Anything that can help us reproduce your exact experience would be helpful.
  24. Hi all, I'm talking to a few people on my team to see if there's any info I can share back with you all to determine what the issue is with the freezing screens/unable to log into the game. I am asking that further comments only come from players who are directly impacted by this specific issue so we can track the conversation.
