Hi, please fix this before the next guild perk rotation (Tuesday). I have these perk plans and some can get messed up for a month with glitches like these. For example one of my guilds will lose Sprinter for four weeks if a fix isn't in place before Tuesday next week.
-
That's nice, though it's intended to fix how old guilds get less points, it also means my guild perk plan can also now work on small yields, which is great for large guilds with a placeholder guild for alts. I just wanna emphasize that I love the guild perk system and have spent many hours theory-crafting my favorite 10-week/5-cycle rotation guild perk plan. If you do end up changing it, I'd be happy to chime in and provide feedback.

Seems to work with golden adds but silver adds ignore AoE's. -
Changes to rewards for PvP, GSF, and Operations
Eli_Porter replied to BryantWood's topic in General Discussion
Yeah when they mentioned comparing GSF to WZ completion I was getting my hopes up. Let's just say 12 WZ losses takes a bit longer than 4 GSF losses. -
It does, but the way I see it only for the daily conquest objectives and GSF ship pinnacles. Farming GSF/PvP beyond the daily/weekly objectives isn't really giving all that much. Ideally I'd like it to be "OK I finished GSF, let's do PvP. Now that PvP is done, I'll do the Flashpoints daily (wish there was one) or Operations daily (which should be buffed in points)". The planetary dailies actually give a decent amount of points and rewards so they're fine. Heroics were nerfed but it would be nice to get a daily for them. Why don't I want the eternal objectives like Rampage/Heroics? Because I personally believe that the game should reward being played to its fullest extent over farming one specific activity. This isn't because I want to screw over the solo players, but because I want to encourage players to explore the game and for large guilds with an eye for conquest to run a variety of activities for their members. So, I'd make these changes to Conquest: 1. Double the points gained from the daily Operations Conquest Objectives 2. Add a daily Conquest Objective for completing 5 Heroics 3. Add two FP daily Conquest Objectives for completing Veteran / Master Flashpoint Weeklies 4. Add WB pinnacle Conquest Objective for completing the Priority Targets Weekly
-
Pinnacles/Dailies yes, but a hard no on Eternals. I like the system encouraging doing a variety of different activities every day. Also there are still decent PvE daily objectives like Uprisings and Star Fortresses. Problem is these practically only give conquest points right now as their gear rewards are close to insignificant.

Changes to rewards for PvP, GSF, and Operations

Good changes that are sure to inject some life into PvP, but Flashpoints are still way down the hill in terms of incentive to run. Which is a shame because Ruins of Nul is the only new playable group content we got. -
Changes to rewards for PvP, GSF, and Operations
Eli_Porter replied to BryantWood's topic in General Discussion
The only new group content we got in 7.0 is a flashpoint and not only is it bugged, it also gives no proper rewards. -
WZ rewards are now mostly in the weekly mission, which gives you: 1. A crate which upgrades your lowest equipped slot with a Thrysian piece (recommended to have legendary 326 implants+320 conquest gear before you open your first one) 2. Tech fragments which are used to buy and upgrade legendary 326 implants 3. Thrysian mats which are used to upgrade Thrysian gear you get from crates. 4. Some (low) amount of aquatics which are used to upgrade gear.

From the 7.0 Itemization article And yet here we are wrestling with Nefra drop RNG. And MM Flashpoints reward nothing that GSF does better, and MM FP's also aren't part of the 330 equation (unlike SM ops, which are easier).
-
What combat style combinations would be most recommandable?
Eli_Porter replied to ZoraThrall's topic in General Discussion
I gave all my Force users Assassin/Shadow, they can use the same gear for Nefra tanking and solo stealth content with DPS gear. Likewise I gave all my Tech users Scoundrel/Operative, same deal but with Healing instead of Tanking. -
Bioware, why would I want to run MM FP's after I reach 326? I can run SM/HM operations to get the mats I want to reach 330 gear. I can dip my toes into NiM to get the Rakata pieces. I can run GSF to more efficiently gain Tech Fragments. I can run World Bosses and Heroics/Planets to get Aquatics. What do MM FP's give me? Please: 1. Get rid of Decurion tokens (convert existing ones to Hazardous Matter Catalysts at a reduced rate) 2. Make Vet/MM FP's reward HMC's. 3. Convert Vet FP gear (Elite Decurion) to Tionese Gear 4. Make Tionese gear upgrade-able to 324 (just like it is for Elite Decurion) 5. Convert MM FP gear (Supreme Decurion) to Columni Gear That would simplify the system quite a lot and make it worth-while to run FP's once you're gearing out to 330's. If you want to keep the cosmetic look of Elite Decurion and Supreme Decurion, just roll them into the Conquest Gear upgrade system. Alternatively, add a vendor that converts Decurion Isotope Stabilizers to Hazardous Matter Catalysts at a reduced rate. That would complicate the system further, but make FP's worth-while to run.

Why The Heck Is There No Moddable Gear at 80???
Eli_Porter replied to josephxp's topic in General Discussion
Moddable gear was just too complicated ok? It's much simpler to: 1. Find out which stat you're missing 2. Look up a guide online that shows which pieces give which tertiary 3. Give your gear to a different character which can get the piece 4. On the slot you want the piece, place a piece one item rating lower than the rest 5. Do a weekly that can give you an upgrade crate 6. Open the crate, hope it doesn't disappear 7. Transfer the gear back to your main 8. Repeat multiple times if you're a healer trying to get 1.3 gcd -
Guild Perks didn't rotate at the scheduled time
Eli_Porter replied to Eli_Porter's topic in Bug Reports
Thanks! -
Please tell us the exact day/time that guild perks rotate
Eli_Porter replied to UlaVii's topic in General Discussion
In case people google and find this thread. -
As of this post, we are 8 hours past the time when guild perks were supposed to rotate. https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=961839 Bioware, please let us know if the timer changed or if you forgot to schedule rotations in 7.0. Note that we already had to spend extra commendations when 7.0 hit due to the last schedule bug, now a lot of us would have spent extra commendations getting ready for the next rotation. If the next rotation doesn't happen within the next day we'll be running into a commendations shortage.

I've tried getting a 326 Jugg Tank Lightsaber with Deception Sin gear equipped (except 324 dualsaber) 3 times on 3 different characters, all got the loot disappearing.
-
Gearing is just too slow and convoluted. I know so many people who feel forced into content they dislike (GSF + WB farming) and as they see others passing them in gear they just quit. And these are raiders too, people who this gearing system was supposedly built towards. If 7.1 hopes to lure raiders back, the road to 326 needs to be shortened and simplified. Give bosses upgrades, consolidate the currencies and upgrade paths.

Gear not being given from PVP gear boxes
Eli_Porter replied to SolaireSandworm's topic in Bug Reports
This happened to me when I tried upgrading my lightsaber to 326. -
There are two Legendary Implants coming in 7.0 which interact with shoulder missile. From the PTS: Mandalorian Armanents When Shoulder Cannon is put on cooldown, it applies Autocannon to you for 60 seconds, firing a rocket at your current target whenever you deal direct damage. This additional rocket can fire once every 10 seconds. Veteran Ranger Each Shoulder Cannon rocket has a 50% chance to trigger an additional rocket.

Whats the best secondary class for a Merc?
Eli_Porter replied to Seyyah's topic in Public Test Server
You have these options for merc: 1. Same weapons, easiest gearing - Gunslinger 2. Stealth class, fastest soloing - Scoundrel (uses a pistol, also requires a shotgun) 3. Adding a tank role, most versatile - Powertech (uses a pistol, also requires a generator) -
Hype is gone, is there anything to wait for?
Eli_Porter replied to Gibonski's topic in General Discussion
With the level of hate in the forums lately I'm not surprised Chris has turned to discord for feedback on balance. And I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves that too if more people from the forum join that discord just to send him "do this or unsub" messages. -
Changes to Gearing in 7.0 from PTS Feedback

If time is a concern(it's mine too) they're lowering the wins required from 10 to 4. -
Changes to Gearing in 7.0 from PTS Feedback
Eli_Porter replied to BryantWood's topic in Public Test Server
Because most PvP maps require your whole team to care about winning in order to win. Think of GSF like if every map was huttball, you don't care about most teammates being along for the ride since a few good players can carry.
