  1. From the official 7.0 itemization article:
  2. Hi UlaVii, It would be more helpful if you tallied up the cost of your entire perk plan instead of one cycle. As you should be well aware most cycles aren't very busy, for example next cycle should be relatively activation-free for your guilds. My "conquest-focused" perk plan requires 738 total commendations, and since there are 10 total weeks within the entire 5 cycles that means that if I choose to only go for small yields for planet conquering purposes, my guild needs to level 8 times within 10 weeks which as you say is within the range even at guild level 450+. That said I understand it's pretty tight, and you may need to invade a large yield more often than you'd want if your plan requires more commendations.
  3. I regularly get 2 million on the first day on one character, and while I do play a lot on the first day it's from the afternoon to the night, with a small 30 minute break. I get one conquest reward out of that 2 million while someone getting 1/4th of my points spread across 10 characters would get 10 conquest rewards. I'm not gonna get into whether that's fair or not as I'm fairly neutral on the topic, but please try to understand his point of view instead of being rude about it. Some people may not want to feel coerced to play loads of alts just so they can gear their main optimally. Though thanks to conquest gear being the lowest quality as far as stat distribution, you won't be able to do that with conquest rewards anyway in 7.0 even with commendations uncapped. First off you don't currently need that to gear alts to 306 due to the renown system and legacy bound moddable gear. And as far as 7.0 rewards go, while there are no more Resource Matrix rewards, I believe you'll still get Flagship Encryptions as well as Tech Fragments to buy legendary gear/tacticals/RPM's. We don't know how alt gearing will work due to not knowing how Loadouts will work or how other objectives reward gear, so it's a lot of speculation as to how much this 3 character cap for commendations actually matters. Bottom line is don't be rude about it, everyone is getting the wrong end of the stick except for NiM raiders so the less we argue amongst ourselves the better.
  4. Actually 7.0 will not contain the new operation, that comes in an update one month or so later. But there is the new Manaan weekly area, new Flashpoint, new Story, two combat styles, loadouts, and weapons in costumes.
  5. We don't know how loadouts work, if they allow you to "imprint" a piece of gear into a loadout then you might get by with just 3 or so fully upgraded gear sets for your legacy. We also don't know which weekly missions grant a gear upgrade crate, and whether the 3 times limit to getting gear crates applies to the same objective and/or legacy.
  6. It is outclassed by not only 330 NiM gear, but from the looks of it also Legacy HM operations and MM flashpoint gear due to stat distribution. So it's important, but only if you give up on fighting for what really matters which is conquest gear not being 3rd rate even when fully upgraded. But I shouldn't be derailing the thread, yes of course limiting to just 3 characters is bad. Not sure why 3 is the magic number they chose when the game has 8 stories to play through and 7 days of conquest objective resets.
  7. I assume those caps are far from final, obviously it makes no sense for a 500 cap when one of the weeklies rewards 2000. Also, each of the weekly missions give an upgrade crate containing an upgrade to your lowest equipped gear slot. So unless there's a legacy cap on weekly rewards as well, if you pass your entire gear around a bunch of alts you should theoretically be able to 326 gear one character in one week without using any tokens.
  8. With conquest no longer rewarding Solid Resource Matrix, credits, renown, XP, and taking 100k instead of 50k... Whether it be 3 characters or 20 characters you're all just arguing for scraps instead of looking at the big picture. We shouldn't be arguing about the 3 characters limit, when there's almost no rewards for it other than commendations that are used to upgrade gear that'll mostly be outclassed anyway.
  9. So to cap it off, if you're a casual player when 7.0 drops: You'll be 4 item rating behind NiM raiders You'll be forced to run KP/EV HM ad nauseum to gear up to the strongest level you can get You'll barely be getting RPM's/OEM's anymore
  10. NiM raiders already get RPM's. With the removal of renown ranks solo players will be getting way less tech fragments to buy RPM's with, and on top of that conquest will no longer reward credits or augment components players can profit from. I think there are 5 tiers of players: Solo players: - 4 item rating behind NiM raiders - Can only access unoptimized conquest armor (high endurance/low tertiary) - Too poor to afford gold augments Group Finder players (FP/GSF/Unranked PvP) - 4 item rating behind NiM raiders (PvP has a cap, though people will complain anyway) - Too poor to afford gold augments Social players (Operations up to old HM's) - 2 item rating behind NiM raiders - Too poor to afford gold augments Ranked PvP'ers (Group/Solo ranked) - 4 item rating behind NiM raiders (PvP has a cap, though people will complain anyway) + Reasonable access to gold augments NiM/Prog Raiders + Access to max item rating + Reasonable access to gold augments
  11. Since they're letting players brick their chars by doing stuff like Sniper+Gunslinger or Sentinel+Marauder, I'm almost 100% certain they'll add a secondary combat style respec token in the CM at some point.
  12. Because the vast majority of players won't suddenly turn into prog raiders, they'll just feel left out and disheartened. And speaking of doing the same thing over and over, that's also what you're telling those raiders. No more progging for titles/achievements/cosmetics, you now have to farm the easiest NiM op until everyone on your team is 330.
  13. Yes it's a bad thing to tell a player who wants to improve his gear that he has to go from playing the game how he wants to hardcore raiding with 7 other people for months just to get a chance at an upgrade.
  14. I know it's not modded, i meant that everyone will be at least 2 item ratings behind raiders just like with 328 and 330.
  15. The current plan seems to suggest that both 334 and 336 will be moddable but 336 will only be attainable by experienced progression raidrs, something which takes months to achieve.
  16. Conquest gear will not be able to reach the highest attainable item rating, that's reserved to legacy NiM's and new 7.* HM's. Also there are reports of the conquest set having unoptimized stat allocation.
  17. Yep, and now the answer to "how do i improve my gear" will be "join a raid team and after months of progging you might down a NiM boss and might get an upgrade"
  18. The part about Veteran Mode Legacy Operations having 330 max gear upgrade contradicts with what the original article said and what you said about 330 right afterwards, clarification would be great.
  19. Dear Bioware: 1. I'm sure your new operation is great, you don't need to force players to play it 2. Players get discouraged when they're told they have to run niche and extremely challenging content to gear up 3. Players get discouraged when they're told they can't upgrade the armor they got from Flashpoints after hours of GSF/PvP/Conquest 4. Players get discouraged when they're PvP'ing and fight alongside/against players with higher item ratings, even if there's an effective cap (most players won't be aware of it)
  20. Since the operation is delayed a month there will at the very least be a month of release where ops players won't have better gear than you. In addition, PvP will be capped at the max obtainable PvP gear level so ops players won't outgear you (though it's unclear how it works with moddable gear)
  21. My issues: 1. Story, exploration, chapters, and more are conquest only, if your character reached 100k then zero gear rewards are provided. 2. If you bought Flashpoint gear, you cannot upgrade it with specialized tokens obtained from PvP/GSF or just regular gear tokens from Conquest. This seems to punish players who play everything? 3. You cannot obtain max gear level without farming the newest operation on veteran over and over again.
  22. Gear upgrades being tied to a specific activity seems bad. What if I'm a primarily flashpoint player with flashpoint gear, and then run a few hours of PvP/GSF? It seems I would not be able to upgrade my gear using the PvP tokens just because I got it from the flashpoint gear vendor, making the few hours I spent diversifying my gameplay experience give zero rewards.
  23. I don't like how you can't use for example PVP currency to avoid using less Gear Fragments to upgrade your Conquest shell, or use Flashpoint currency to upgrade your PvP shell if you're short on PvP currency. If I were to make any change, I would make all shells available to upgrade on all upgrade vendors. That way, if you want a full PvP set, you'd only have to buy the 320 gear from the PvP vendor and then upgrade each piece however you want. It'd simplify the system a lot, but I'm not sure how simple it'd be to implement. Conquest has 6 tiers (320, 324, 326, 328, 330, 332) but are all other gear sets the same item rating?
  24. Would be a good way to go, instead of having this weird discrepancy between Flashpoints+Operations and PvP+Open World(maybe heroics too? chapters? heroic star fortresses? who knows). You could also leave it as it is, since it's been in the game forever. As for stealthing out and changing loadouts, just put a 10 seconds cooldown on changing a loadout after exiting combat.
  25. The Vanish change is huge. I suspect this has something to do with Loadouts and the access to more Combat Styles, but "cheesing mechanics" is widely used, adds a layer of complexity to the game and has been a thing for a long time. A lot of raiders and flashpoint speedsters will be pissed to learn that, and PvP gets untouched why? You're already throwing balance out the window with the class changes so this is a perfect opportunity to buff defensives for stealth classes, are you that afraid of the overly vocal PvP community?
