  1. It could even be a combination of different pieces that are color matched to the chest piece he's wearing. Just a thought.
  2. While the boxes themselves cost $60. The amount of money the ends up going to EA is a lot less. You have to leave some room in their to cover the costs of making the physical copies of the game and the boxes ect. As well as some profit for the retailer. Of course there is an exception if you bought a digital copies, that's almost pure profit, but on a Box sale EA likely to get closer $25 or $30. Then there are the additional costs of maintaining the game. The team at Bioware Austin didn't shrink after the game came out, it grew. And those are also adding to the costs of the game each month, along with the growing infrastructure to support the game. When you take in all of these variables, it is easy to see that Bioware is no were near reaching their break even point for the game yet, but they are making progress. We're at least a few months out.
  3. I've had a lot void star matches lately where the whole game comes down to the first door. Even on matches where my team slaughters the other team, and we kill 5 or 6 players between each respawn interval, we can't plant explosives on the first door because as soon as we clear the doorway the guys we just killed respawned and we have to kill them again. I had a match yesterday where I didn't die in the opening 5 minutes of the game, and me and multiple members mates got Invincible and unstoppable medals for killing the other team so bad, but we still couldn't capture the door because the respawn timers were just too short.
  4. They haven't finalized 1.2 patch notes yet, they haven't even put it on PTS yet. Maybe tomorrow.
  5. Accept for Luke Skywalker who's Green Lightsaber Blade was made from a synthetic crystal that he made on Tatooine. Source: Shadows of the Empire
  6. That's actually probably a bug. You should submit an in game ticket. Its a very rare bug. Someone in customer service should be manually fix it for you.
  7. Eh, don't worry about it. In the Grand Scheme of things 5k is like tossing a few pennies into a fountain. Sure it's a decent amount of money at level 20, but at level 50 you can make 300,000 credits a day easy just doing all the daily quests by the time you vendor grey items and sell off the blues.
  8. You actually can get an extra loot drop, but only people who aren't currently locked to the boss can loot. Basically when you kill the boss, you become locked to it, and if you kill it again you can't loot the boss yourself. But if you bring in someone who isn't locked into the raid, they can loot the boss, but they'll be the only ones who can loot the boss.
  9. Do your daily/weekly quests and just pvp your heart out.
  10. Just do your dailies. You can make 300k credits a day + just by doing all your dailies.
  11. Those numbers are normal for any game, including World of Warcraft. The the numbers that really count are subs.
  12. Most companions aren't strickly Light Side/Dark Side. All of them have some grey areas. The majority of the affection points you get in the course of leveling up and questing come from non-darkside/lightside decisions.
  13. How many active forum posters do you see? Its a lot fewer than you think. The number of people who post in the forums in a day is less than 10,000. The game has over a 1.7 million active subscribers. Forum posters are the 1%.
  14. So, This is what you have to do with SOA in the Phase 3 at this point. Everyone in the party just has to stay as far away from him as possible accept the tank. Soa doesn't seem to have an aggro table at all in the 3rd phase anymore, so he just attacks whoever is nearest to him. My guild is still able to down him on Nightmare Mode, but we've been killing Nightmare Mode Soa for almost a month now. Its just a pain to fight him now in the last phase.
  15. Korriban is by far the shortest starting planet. The placement of the quests and the objectives are done so well that there is hardly any wasted space. I'm pretty sure Korriban is physically the smallest Origin World.
  16. My guild finished clearing all the 16 man content 2 weeks ago. I can tell you from my perspective that PvE is much more challenging than PvP. Why PVE Is Harder: When it comes to PvE progression, you need management. You have to have 16 people working together to achieve the same goal to make progress. Your not going to pug 8 or 16 people and make raiding progress, it just simply wont happen. You need a dedicated guild, with people who are available to play at the same time. People who understand the way their class works and their class mechanics. You also have to learn the Boss Mechanics of each fight so that you can respond with the appropriate response in the correct situation. Small details, like maintaing the facing the boss can have profound impacts on a Raid Encounter. If a Tank turns Kragga towards the raid group chances are good Kragga will wipe the raid. If the DPS can't maintain an optimum damage rotation they'll fall behind and hit the enrage timer. Everyone dies. If the Healers aren't ready for the big hits when they happen in a raid fight, raid members get killed off. To beat the hardest encounters in the game, you need 16 players who are working together, with very few errors on anyone's part, coordinating their efforts so that you can achieve a single goal. It takes trial and error, and hours of work, to make progress. You absolutely have to have those things in order to make progress in a Raid. Why PvP is Easier: Honestly you can just pug in pvp and get Valor 60 and Battle Master. In the words of Darnell, "PvP is a way for casuals to become better geared casuals". Of course when it comes to PVP progression, it is beneficial to be in a guild so that you can utilize team work to get ahead, but until they start to allow full 8 person teams to que you probably wont see a lot of hard core pvp guilds. I'm not saying you wont see any pvp guilds. A lot of people like their pvp and they're making guilds for it. What I am saying is that pvp to get into pvp endgame and make real progress, you don't need to be in a guild, or even have friends on the game. You just need to play pvp and with enough effort you can make it to Battle Master and get full gear on your own.
  17. That would just make Armstech ridiculously better than Armor Mech. A Man Hand weapon is equivalent to getting a Chest Piece. Armormech/Synthweaving can make Belts and Bracers, which is significantly weaker than any other Rakata piece.
  18. 1. The Klingon Empire in Star Trek is a type 2 civilization. The Empire in Star Wars is a type 3 Civilization. In nearly all respects Star Wars has superior technology. 2. Star Destroyers also have around 60 Turbo Laser and Ion Canons. They also do an entire order of magnitude more damage. Star Trek weapon damage output is measured in Kilojules. The damage done by Star Wars Capiltal Ship weapons in the Empire era are measured in Megajules. 3. Slave 1, Boba Feet's ship, has more destructive firepower than any Enterprise or Voyager era ship. 4. The Imperial Fleet is far larger than the Klingon Emire's fleet. For every Bird of Prey the Klingon's actually have, the Empire has at least 10 Star Destroyers. 5. The Empire uses it's fleet to control an entire galaxy with an iron fist. The Klingon's have trouble fighting a Federation of smillar size, with a smaller fleet, with fewer tactical capabilities than they do. 6. Crew complements are also heavily in favor of the Empire. Most Klingon Ships would be considered Corvette class ships in Star Wars. The average bird of prey has fewer than 100 Klingon's on board. The Average Star Destroyer crew of around 1,200 + an entire Garrison of Imperial Stormtroopers, up to 15,000. In the event of any boarding action, the Empire has the overwhelming advantage in man power. 7. Star Destroyers also have: They also have 4 or 5 Squadrons of 12 TIE Fighters, 1 or 2 Squadrons of TIE bombers, and maybe 1 Squadron of TIE Interceptors. And they can house a total of 6 squadrons. Honestly, the entire Imperial Fleet is overkill for killing something like the Klingon Empire. Heck I would go so far as to say the Rebel fleet in Empire Strikes back would be sufficient to get the job done. Darth Vader's fleet in Empire Strikes Back would be more than sufficient also.
  19. The brow is a little higher and thicker than Obama's, but I'd say that's a close resemblance.
  20. The fact that the Clone Wars is G-Canon means that it's the highest level of the Canon Heirarchy. Specifically, any contradiction between it and other parts of EU it is automatically assumed that the Clone Wars is the correct canon and that previous events have been altered or Retconned to fit what the Clone Wars says.
  21. There is a gap of around 1500 years between now and the 4th Great Schism. The 4th Great Schism gives birth to yet another Sith Empire, but those Sith are actually descended former Jedi who take up the philosophy of the old Sith Empire. There is a war that last for 1,000 years which represents a large Republic Dark Age where much of their technology was lost again. This is part of the reason why technologically SW:TOR and the Movies are so close in Technology. The 1,000 year war eventually ends when Darth Bane begins to wipes out all the other Sith and begins the Rule of 2, which eventually culminates in Palpatine becoming Emperor. Point is, there is about 1,500 year window that the game has available to operate with. During the next 1,500 years the Sith will be wiped out, the Empire will be mostly destroyed. It is likely that there will be some survivors of the Empire, and territory controlled by the Empire will eventually become the Republic's yet again.
  22. Kragga's Typhoon ability puts a debuff on the affected target that eventually does damage after a current set amount of time, and also does heavy damage to nearby operations members. Currently you can cleanse the debuff off of people even on Nightmare Mode, which ends the AOE immediately and prevents the target from receiving any damage. Is this intended play?
  23. Bounty Hunter has some advantages and disadvantages. Their AOE hits fewer people, but fires instantly and provides damage bubble. They also get completely free cost heals that can be spammed at any time. Heat and Ammo also regenerate in combat faster than Force does if you manage it correctly, so if you have enough skill you can manage your heat bar and never run out of heals But there are situations, pretty early on in Raiding where having a sorcerer healer is just plane better.
