  1. "Macedonia"? That's not a country, that's a region in Northern Greece.
  2. MMO experience dictates that jerks are everywhere. SWToR PVP is not an exception. Simplest think to do is just play your game, laugh at how pathetic these people are, and look forward to facing them as your opponents.
  3. If I recall correctly, our War Hero Survivor's pvp weapon is classified as an "electrostaff" when viewing its info. Though it still requires double-bladed lightsaber skill, so go figure.
  4. I personally really liked that part. It felt like playing a single-player RPG, where your actions have real consequences. Wish there were more instances of this happening, to be honest. And to even grater extent.
  5. Let's remove ALL attack skills and stats from the game, it's obvious that they are the bane of all classes' imbalance issues. From now on, all combat encounters are determined via a RNG. You meet your enemy, press the "Roll" button, and the game's dice determine who lives or dies. Balance!!1one
  6. I started PVPing on my main after I had dinged 50. It was a slow process but I eventually reached War Hero rank with full Battlemaster gear, am now waiting for Rated WZs, and am generally enjoying the competition very much. Tried to pvp on my lvl 27 alt yesterday. Played about 6-7 matches... On one Voidstar match, my entire team didn't know how to cap doors. On a Huttball match, 5 members of my team just pranced around our goalline and our pit chasing each other. On an Alderaan match, all 7 of my team members just charged at mid, leaving me (Sniper) to cap and defend East on my own. I was attacked and lost it, no reinforcements at all despite my multiple incs, then they were all blaming me that I cost them the game. That last one was probably when I realised I was about done with 10-49 pvp. "Fun PVP" my lower intestine. Give me level 50 strategic matches with competent teams over this noobish roflstomp any time of the day.

    Hotball

So if the timers reach zero when I'm 2 meters from the enemy goalline, I get blown up and lose the ball because "I didn't pass it". Imagine the rage this would cause.

    Mvp Voting

In a MMO PVP environment, words like "Honor", "Etiquette", "Sportsmanship" etc mean nothing to about 90% of the population, in my opinion. If an enemy player dominates your team, and your team gets to vote for the enemy's MVPs, 99% of the time the votes would go to random people or to the least threatening opponent, out of spite or simply due to the fact that people do not want to make their most powerful enemy even more powerful by awarding him extra Commendations/Valor points. Even the current system where people are likely to give MVP points to their buddies or to the person who needs Valor/Commendations to rank up or buy gear, is better than the above scenario.
  9. No matter if your gear is Battlemaster level or level 49 quest gear, you still suck at PVP if you don't call incs in Civil War/Voidstar, if you keep your back to a turret/door and let the enemy ninja-cap it, if you stand near your goalline in Huttball and let enemy SW/JKs Force Leap to you and score an easy goal, etc. Gear does offer an advantage against players with no gear (this advantage is only trivial at later Valor ranks but anyway), but no way can you win games based solely on your gear.
  10. We've all been there at the start. PVP has a learning curve. You need to learn strategies for each warzone, increase your response time to all situations that might arise, and coordinate with your team (if you're in a Pick-up group, hope they are competent enough). You can't just "play a couple of matches" and expect to win all of them from the beginning. Especially if your teammates are as new to pvp as you.
  11. ...because, as a level 10 with valor rank 1, he required the least amount of valor to reach his next level Seriously. I don't know if it's the rule or not, but I ONLY get Ops Leader whenever I'm close to reaching my next rank, and ONLY then. Don't blame me for thinking that's the case.
  12. A team has 8 persons, let's name them A to H. Person A has valor rank 65, and needs 5k valor to reach his next rank. Person B has valor rank 70, and needs 15k valor to reach his next rank. Person C has valor rank 63, and needs 2k valor to reach his next rank. Persons D to H all need more than 3k valor to reach their next rank. Person C is then named Ops Leader. It's been tried and observed. The person who requires the least amount of valor to reach his next rank is named Ops Leader.
  13. I would be ok with a "betrayal questline" that simply shifted your Force Allegiance from Light to Dark or vice-versa. Changing your class..would probably be a bit much. PS. LOL at all the hatred in these Forums. "This topic has been brought up again, and the poster did not have the clarity of mind to search for it, quick let's call everything stupid and act insulted, it's what the cool kids do".
  14. But why? Nothing says "Powerful Sith" like a feathery pidgeon outfit with spiky tumors pointing out of our shoulders.
  15. Or pulling/knocking down the Inq/Consular that sits waiting before the last fire, before he can receive the pass and Force-Speed to the goal-line. Or telling your #!@$ teammates not to stand around their goal-line because Juggs can Force-Leap towards them. Or telling the above-mentioned teammates to protect the spawn point and get the ball when it respawns, before the enemy team can grab it and throw it to the Inq/Sorc waiting in the catwalks above. To name a few. Proper teamwork solves virtually all problems in Huttball.
  16. "This game needs excitement, let's MIX IT UP!" Back on topic, if you are to disable Force Speed, also disable Force Jump. And Pull. And whatever class skill actually helps in Huttball.
  17. Instead of nerfing CC they should just fix Resolve and let things run their course. Getting chain-stunned when the Resolve bar is full gets quite tiresome after the 4th time in the same match.
  18. If I recall correctly I couldn't enter my ship or interract with quest-related items when I started hoarding my pending rewards (was up to 5 I think at that point). Dunno if this was intended, to prevent extreme hoarding, or just a bug. Probably the first. But whatever the case, saving your rewards at about rank 59 (or when you're half-way to rank 60, if you only log in to do the dailies) is ok I guess.
  19. I doubt that many people would queue Solo for Ranked WZs anyway. The risk of ruining one's ranking because of a bad team should deter people. If a 4-man premade queues, it will probably be queued together with another 4-man premade.
  20. They said fighting your own side on Voidstar/Alderaan will be done in the context of a "Training Simulation" match and might come with a different briefing or something. As far as Role-Playing and immersion is concerned, it's still plausible
  21. You employed gentlemen (and ladies) earn a steady salary and enjoy an independent way of life. Us unemployed people have more time to play and earn Valor ranks faster. Believe me when I say that yours is a better deal. Honestly
  22. They said in the Guild Summit broadcast that the 1.5 Ilum "fix" is temporary, just until they completely redesign the area. It won't stay like that forever.
  23. The difference between Champion and Battlemaster gear is quite trivial. Not to mention the ridiculously low drop rates of BM commendations from bags. Playing for a few hours a day can easily get you from Valor rank 50 to 60 in 2 weeks or less. If someone enjoys PVPing whether it be WZs or the daily zergfest on Ilum, and simply plays the game rather than staring at his Valor meter all the time, he won't even notice how fast valor ranks come and go.
  24. I wouldn't exactly call 400 damage per hit "respectable", but anyway Especially when that "hit" also comes from using an attack skill that happens to consume about a third of my tiny force pool every time I use it. So, as a PVPing Assassin tank my shield doesn't mitigate all damage types, which means that I can get pretty much MAULED by most classes (I've seen BHs using tracer missile on me, and my health dropped to 10-15% in 5 seconds), and I also do the kind of damage I mentioned above. And there are people that say that I am OP. Well I don't really like to use that terminology, but seriously, L2P.
