Thanks guys. I'll give some of that a try and see how I get on. I'm looking at getting 4 pieces in BM survivor gear (now that I have 2 pieces already) then I might look at buying Stalker gear and experimenting with both to see what suits me most. At worst I can give the set I don't like to Xalek.

Im a recent 50 Assassin and once I hit 50 I changed from Deception to Darkness spec (33 Darkness / 8 Deception). I enjoyed the stunlock playstyle with my Deception build pre-50 but foumd the level 50 pvp was a whole different kettle of fish and that I needed the extra surviviability. In warzones my playstyle is "help the team". If a node needs guarded, Ill guard. If a node needs tagged, Ill tag. If teammates are tagging and I spot the enemy comin in, Ill try and head them off to buy time for the taggers. Ive had my fair share of wins, probably around 50/50. I'm in full Recruit Stalker gear apart from 2 pieces of BM Survivor gear. My problem is though that my dps stats are crap. Averaging around 100k, but with some fights (against premades in War gear). I not a bad PvPer, but I must be doing something wrong, so any advice you guys can give would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I sympathise with you. As a pvper on a pvp server though I take exception to the fact that throughout my levelling experience 80% of the time was in zones were I would never see an enemy player. At best I saw a dozen enemy players between Tatooine and Voss. Im all for not forcing players into pvp on pve servers, but on pvp servers there should be ample opportunity for open pvp from atleat level 10 onwards.

Shadowsblade Legacy here. Wanted Shadowblade, but it wouldn't accept it. Chose it because I thought it fit my idea of a Female Rattataki Sith only Legacy. (Yes Im an Asajj Ventress fanboi. )

I've just recently reached 50 as a Deception Assassin and bought all of the Recruit Stalker Gear, then started getting owned in WZ's and so have changed to Kinetic. I then bought a Survivors Helm but then wondered if I'd done the right thing. I still want to play a kind of Burst style game but like the survivability of Kinetic. (Noticed a big difference in the dozen or so WZ's I've played since respeccing.) What gear should I go for? Should I go full Survivor or Stalker, or would a mix of 4 Stalker plus Shield and the rest Survivor Gear? Thanks.

Would be nice for there to be real consequences or later plot lines bases simply on your earlier decisions. For instance: It would be good to see some repurcussions for keeping Sehrun alive on Korriban by encouraging him to attack acolytes. I didnt help House Thul when House Organa attacked which led to my Asassins contact dying and getting my ear chewed off by Zash. Why doesn't Darth Charnos (sp?) remember me as the one who brought down the Revanites? Why can't I fullt turn Ashara to the dark side, or even kill her for being such a pain? For some "minor" decisions there are repurcussions, but not for any of the seemingly meaningful plot specific decisions.

So true. 1 year off 40 here. Love playing out my childhood Star Wars fantasies, which has only been fueled by Asajj Ventress in recent years . And at least I can compete seeing as my reflexes aren't quite what they used to be.

I love the look of my Rattataki Assassin and in half a level I get to live out my Asajj Ventriss fantasies by rolling a Rattaki Marauder through Legacy. ;-) Plus I loved the bald & tatooed amazon look. And yes, Im a guy who enjoys playing female toons. :-p

I like the idea of that. Seeing as I'm a Deception Assassin, I would love to turn Ashara into a Guardian/Jugg style tank rather than Sentinel/Marauder dpser.

No problem here levelling as Deception. But then I did all Heroics and Bonus Quests on Dromund Kaas, Nar Shadaa, Tatooine etc. which means I'm getting to most planets 2-4 levels higher than the minimum. I also don't take green quest rewards, favouring instead the Commendations which lets me get Orange Gear and Mods. Plus I've made sure that I've kept Khem geared up, even buying some orange gear for him with my Commendations. In addition, when taking out Mobs and Elites, keep your CC up. Its amazing how much it helps you and Khem stay alive. If you want to change to Darkness because it suits your playestyle, fine. But don't change because someone says its the only way to play Assassin, it isn't.

I'm looking at getting some Orange gear for my Companions and I thought that the quickest way would be to solo Flashpoints. (Average of 2+ Orange peices per Flashpoint) So Im just wondering how many levels higher than the Flashpoint you need to be so as to be able to solo it. 10? 15?

Probably not, but it will be interesting to see how many solo-ranked Deception Sins there are. I know thats what I will be aiming for once I hit 50.

I dont think we are too bad. If anything I'd like a skill/talent that allowed us to stun for 2 secs strong/elite mobs and players with either discharge or shock. It wouldn't necessarily have a cooldown but perhaps require 2 stacks of Voltaic.
