  1. Haha, prepare to be hated for maximising your class. I just went shield offhand and two shield absorb implants, the rest dps gear. All augmented dark reaver of course.
  2. That's the learning curve you have as a dps jug under focus fire. You think that ED will save you, but it won't against good players who actually "all" focus you at same time, usually under the veil of a group stealth while an assassin sneaks up from behind. The only thing you can do in the few seconds available is to break the cc and hit your dcd's ASAP. Otherwise you'll be dead in 3 cooldowns. Haha I've had it happen to me once. I was is suspended disbelief, at the raw autocrit- chain cc- focus power of the other team.
  3. Who knows what other classes are getting, but from what I can tell, 4.0 will be the age of the warrior.
  4. Skanking can only be effective in a good player's hands. I skanked my way to tier 2 in a single afternoon. It's actually better to have a blend of 85% dps gear and 15% shield/absorb gear.(shield offhand included). Stats were around 25% respectively. I have screenshots of how I was often top dps with an unimaginably high protection value, lmao. The only matches I lost were because idiots were complaining about the skanking and threw the match. Really. You want tier 2 in this shthole of a season? Get skanky. Lmao some will love you, and the Internet tough kidz will complain and hate you. You'll be able to manage your rage perfectly and execute time like a boss, or you'll flop. Either way you'll get hate tells. It's freaking hilarious actually. give 'em hell.
  5. hahaha yeah I know, that's a lot of arsetime, haha It still doesn't change the fact that a lot of the current problems with ranked are a direct result of our ratings and rewards system, which is also a result of the cultured mentality of the masses playing the game because of it. Additionally, this "dodging a failed sync-que and retaining your rating bug" will get fixed soon enough. My proposed system is 1000 times better, and would stifle all trolling and dodging attempts. It's plain to see, right under your nose.
  6. Well...technically it would just be a jug, being a jug...no? There is obvious disadvantages inherent, and only good jugs could pull it off, as far I could tell.
  7. It's old news. The current Rating system is difficult to accurately implement within the contexts of *this* game's meta and population. Unfortunately, Many people only que up for fluff rewards, not for the joy of deathmatch pvp. There's apparently a large amount of people that have developed an artform of manipulating the Solo-que. Pathetic Example....I've just transferred legacy gear to an alt and hit my desired tier in one afternoon of gameplay, where as my main would take about 100 games to achieve the same result, due to bad ELO rng on the first ten games. Group ranked will never be popular because of all of the above, but if grouped ranked was the only option, people would smarten up. The developers need to adjust the ratings and rewards system. Check my sig for the link that thousands of people would love to see implemented.
  8. Heh, Internet tough guys, nerd rage, perverts, losers... Swtor is life among the lowly, cheap entertainment really.
  9. *ahem* Check the first link in my sig.
  10. Hmm...sounds ineffective actually. I've never seen anyone doing this. You might be able to swap a shield around, but your dps would be in the toilet, *if* you were tank gear. I could see maybe a blend of dps/tank gear being more effective to that extent. I wonder how it would work in a grouped setting. The dps boosts from vengeance tree might actually surpass the insipid immortal tree. Hard to say. You'd need a damn good healer too.
  11. Sure thing. I was pleasantly surprised seeing this thread. Dethla(alt 133 for the a) Juggernaut dps Harbinger Ranked competitor since season 1, never higher than tier2 in any season. Send a mail to my jug imperial side. I'll log on every night to check. I'd try to assist with jug talk, sparring, etc. give 'em hell, guys and gals.
  12. You know, I've always enjoyed your posts..even back when they used to call me Undying Hadyn, and before that, UncleOst. Haha, time to support you now, I nominate WadeCounty for jug president.
  13. The jug community is a small one. I think many shelved theirs after the smash nerf, who knows, who cares. I've never hit tier 1 ever, and jug has been my main since launch. I can say that I've been that guy that's turned the tables in a match before, and it's only because I've played jug for so long. I'm not even that good of player, for example I can't do anything but lose on my sniper , haha, but ask someone who's fought with me, they'll say what's up.
  14. Eww. Are you two going to have a sleep over, and see how well your jugs suck? I don't get it. Heh, just teasing. To everybody else? Lawlzmahcrappyratingz, cuz ratingisreellife. El oh El. Ignore the pros who tell you that their too scared to play their jugs, because it's harder to get rating in a borked bioware game. To hell with them, play what inspires you, end of story. Cheers.
  15. You play a guardian? Ok well you've got it all wrong. The only thing you should be concerned about, is how to get inside Kira's panties. Have a good day.
  16. If you use any other companion besides Jaesa Willsam, go give your head a shake. Submerge it in a toilet and flush a few times. The sith warrior experience is incomplete without Jaesa. She should be the only one you ever use. Period. If the fail developers kill her off in the upcoming expansion, there will be hell to pay.
  17. Go for endurance, shield, absorb, then defence for stat priorities, don't eat yellow snow, blah blah blah No offence but you simply need to spend time understanding your abilities, reading them over and over again until they sink in. At that point you'll need to jump into the ring and start developing your own intuition ...for it is *that* same intuition, that will determine your success. That's the thing about pvp, there are no scripts, no pre-arranged rotations per-se. That's why reading a "how to pvp" guide is silly. You will need to draw from your own weath of experience. Be prepared for the greatest elation when your team strats work out. Also develop a sence of humor, for you'll be getting your arse kicked a lot. Give 'em hell bud.
  18. Hmm, my advice would be.... try to not post on the swtor forums, while under the influence of heavy medication.
  19. Good post. You've got some constructive thoughts. I think that while we all must endure the developer's shortcomings, there actually are some some really cool abilities in our arsenals. Cheers to a good read, and I'll share some ideas when I stumble upon them.
  20. It's easy. Set up keybinds for friendly targeting and for guard. Also set one up for intercede. Basically all you can hope to accomplish, is to become the worst pain in the arse for someone on the enemy team. You'll have to stay on top of guard swaps and taunts....and basically become a "guard swap technician ". You're dps will suck, no matter how hard you try, so don't fool yourself thinking you can actually assist with pressure. Control, control, control, and swap, swap, swap. I've actually entertained the idea of having partial dps/tank gear and simply speccing vengeance and using Soresu....but of course biofail's new discipline won't allow me to enter an arena as such.
  21. Well despite this thread's ridiculous title, I'm not too concerned what other jugs choose to play. All I do know, is that jug pvp tanking is lacklustre compared to the other tank AC's....anyways moving along, I fail to see how you can spread dots on a ranged target, when the other targets are well out of your aoe range. It's that issue that frustrates me the most when I'm trying to maximise my potential contributions to the team.
  22. Good post. The success of either spec though, relies on a series of crits, in which case rage damage will always pull ahead. In actuality, I've won more matches as rage, than I have as vengeance. It's all circumstantial however. also, I've seen jugs get burned in 3 or 4 gcd's, so yeah, getting in first on the enemy as a "coordinated team" can work wonders, because it's simply a matter of landing autocrits inside chained cc windows, before the target can apply his defencive cooldowns. End of story, every single time.
  23. I'll switch my specs around depending on my mood, but lately I've noticed a lot more ranged dps in que. I find rage is better suited sometimes because it's usually single target applications I'll be forced to deal with. Vengeance is good, I won't ever say that it isn't , but the emphasis on dot spread can often be rendered useless, for the enemy is always spread out. If you can't spread your dots, and if it's harder to burst down your target as vengeance, your contributions to the team aren't quite as good. I find the same problem when I play annihilation. Rage isn't always a guarantee either. Your team has to lock down the cc's first in order for your autocrits to land, before your target can load up his/her defencive cooldowns. The fact that furious strike autocrits could be parried by an enhanced defence chance, well, it will always bring a tear to your eye, haha.
