  1. QFT that is so true "gang" is the perfect description for it to negative squad incoming with more doom and gloom lol
  2. If you actually read my comment and the context of it i used the word "could" if you need me to find the definition of that Let me know nowhere there did i say "only" As i have said many times i have no problems with group content in itself . My issues is with the bunch of Zealous fanatics that believe in the fallacy that without raids /pvp it does not qualify as a MMO . and that raids pvp is the "core" of every mmo like its some kind of religion Which is completely Factually false . IMO- not speaking for anyone else A complete single player MMO would be amazing as shown in KOFE i am happy that Bioware is following this path and hope they continue
  3. Based on your Zealous fanatical " MMo=group" "religion's" definition on interaction and what a mmo is If you dont like wikipedia here is an actual dictionary definition. MMORPG Word Origin Digital Technology. 1. massively multiplayer online role-playing game: any story-driven online video game in which a player, taking on the persona of a character in a virtual or fantasy world, interacts with a large number of other players. Expand Compare MMO. Origin of MMORPG Expand 1990-19951990-95 Dictionary.com Unabridged Based on the Random House Dictionary, © Random House, Inc. 2016.
  4. Very good post group content is not bad in itself but its not the core of this type of MMO nor should it be mandatory and should always come with freedom of choice to skip it without losing out on anything.
  5. All of mine except for the trooper i rolled specifically to romance lana have been faithful to their wives....they are just very lonely....bioware end the loneliness bring our wives back
  6. i was referring to it being a waste of time talking to people of MM=group mindset . There is no point in talking any Zealous group no matter their doctrine "mmo =group" is nothing more than a fallacy If some want to believe in it like a religion good for them. I have wated enough time with this ... I hope Bioware continues on the path they set with KOFE
  7. the feeling is mutual TUXS The only thing is i'm not the one in denial. There is no point in talking to a Zealous group when you tell them the sky is blue and they think it s red
  8. looks like you missed this response last time you made that comment thanks for single handedly proving my point about single mindedness you are the perfect example of it as these posts prove. That's the only reason i am wasting the time responding to you is to point that out.
  9. This just goes back to my answer about interactions, Just because i don't group doesn't mean I dont interact or want other people around. The fact that some people have the attitude the only interaction is only group content and there is "no point" to building a mmo without it is a result of their single mindedness - I have put more hours into SWTOR story content than any other "offline" Bioware game I have played The money i've spent both on subs and CC i feel has been of great value. - I like the effort that is put into the game constantly expanding the story - SWTOR is already bigger and has more story related content cutscenes etc than any "offline game" you can mention out there - I personally hope Swtor to keep making content the same a KOFE and hope KOFT follows the same path . (but bring my companions back ! ....miss Kira.....)
  10. wow your so blinded by your own self interest i'm sure that if i told you a fact like the sky is blue you would disagree and find some sort of explanation that it is red. This is my last response to you these are not opinion this is an actual fact. Your completely and utterly factually wrong again. raids pvp are only one option a mmo has its not the core. When you log in are there others on the server with you ? that qualifies as multiplayer even if you never talk to them grouping - this is not a requirement to be a mmo by literal definition but guild and other social meeting groups could be considered grouping intraction -does not mean raids and pvp "endgame" also does not mean raids and pvp. - it could mean a role play guild that just sit in a bar and rp - just talking to people in general chat - buying and selling things in the market. - helping someone with a quest -grouping with others to explore / level Endgame - could be leveling up all your alliance - reputation , other stuff - its not limited to raids and pvp How much of swtor story based content can you do as a single player ....last i check you can go from chapter 1 of the class story though all the planets after that and then on to chapter 1- 16 of Kofe as a single player ...... seem to be enough to qualify as the "core " of the game to me It depends on the MMO Swtor / STO / WOW/ GW2 / TSW / etc all Single player RPG type mmo at their core LOL DOTA cod etc - group mmo of the MOBA/FPS type at their core the question is do you ...look up MMO Definition on google. MMO is a type of environment - not a type of game there are lots of differnt types of "MMO" ( RPG FPS MOBA etc etc) Again you are completely factually wrong As long as multiple people can interact with the same environment at the same time it is classified as a mmo. So yes if you take all ops fp wz out of swtor it is still a by definition a mmo what i have present is not an opinion but actual fact based on the definition of MMO so yes ....i can safely say your definition of what a MMO is is completely wrong. Raids /op /fp / pvp are all aspects of a MMO but they are not required to be a MMO classification
  11. @Tsillah well honestly i feel you are in a situation of pot calling kettle ..... with that response ...i will again say neither of our opinion are worth more than the other just as a day one person can have any opinion they wish and still have "grounds " for it I replied to the appearance of statements you made. I feel you have twisted my response in the same context you seem to think i twisted yours. which is why i reply the way I did . I dont think we have anything further to discuss
  12. Your factually wrong stopped reading. A mmo is nothing more than an a environment that multiple people can connect to and interact with in real time . if you are of the mind that MMO =group activities at its core Then we have a complete difference of opinion and There is no point in continuing this conversation if that is your view point . I see you skipped over this part
  13. intresting will look at that but i doubt the amount of poele that frequent this forum will give any realistic metric . Edit : here you go answered all categories i felt applied to me I) Story content 1) Chapters 1-9 were released as a group, which was more like the previous expansions in giving a large amount of story content at once, with a delay of several months until the next chapter. Good or bad? Good 2) Chapter 10-16 were released on a monthly basis.Good to have small frequent updates, or was it better to have the large update that the start offered? indifferent - Personally i dont prefer either method they used What i like expansions that are less frequent but the whole thing is delivered at once. 3) Story-wise, what was the best aspect of KotFE, and what was the worst? Best The cutscenes and narrative story bits Worst all the companions going away and lack of choice on which companion to use a lot of the time , IV) Heroic Missions 1) Did KOTFE succeed in making old content relevant again with heroic missions? yes but i dont think it was irrelevant to being with. 2) Do you think the transports to the mission sites were an improvement? Huge improvement 3) Do you think removing the conversation aspects made the missions better? Worse? indifferent - i still have the choice to go speak to the person if i want . V) Crafting 1) Crafting has been simplified with fewer material types, more acquired from nodes, and no randomized missions being offered? Did this make crafting better, or worse? I dont think I been simplified lol but few material types , more from nodes and no randomization I think everything added together adds up to a positive 2) Craft times have been reduced. Is this an improvement? yep 3) Operation crystals can no longer be learned but can be purchased. Is this good or bad? good 1) The 2+ mode can be soloed, but only if sufficiently geared, skilled, and have a good companion. Does that make it good, to serve as a challenge? Bad, because it does not allow as many solo players to complete? Bad because it provides even fewer needs for grouping? bad the story mode should have been sufficient to complete the quests. 2) Star Fortress has been accused of being too repetitive. Do you feel that's accurate or overstated? If accurate, what would you prefer to make it less repetitive. I have mostly avoided it after the story mode missions so indifferent 3) Should Star Fortress be added to group finder? indifferent VII) Level Sync 1) Has level sync improved your overall leveling experience, or not? improved greatly 2) Has level sync improved your group experience on relevant planets? indifferent n/a VIII) Alliance Specialists 1) What is your feeling on how the Alliance Specialists are implemented? its a very cool makes it feel like an actual base 2) Do you feel the rewards for leveling Alliance Specialists are sufficient or insufficient? sufficient 3) Are there any changes you would like to see to Alliance Specialists? not off the top of my head IX) Companions 1) Companions have changed from having specific roles to being universal (e.g., any companion can heal, tank, or dps). Is that good or bad? off the chart Extremely good now I can use the companion i want not the companion I need. 2) Is companion healing more powerful than the other two, or are they on par with each other? have not compared 3) Influence has replaced affection, which means companion effectiveness is unaffected by dialogue choices. Is this good or bad? Indifferent the ones i use love me and my choices 4) Are you more likely, less likely, or unaffected in considering your companion's views when making dialogue choices under the new system? unaffected 5) Do you feel that raising the companion influence to 50 is good or bad, and why? more presence is always good 6) Companion gear no longer effects anything but appearance. Is this good or bad, and why? good was too expensive to keep them geard and change their outfits. 7) With companions now getting universal unlocks, are you more or less likely to use a companion customization (when offered) indifferent 8) How do you feel about companions getting universal unlocks, as opposed to being class-specific? Its awsome more choice is always better. XI) Events 2) Did the Dark vs Light event enhance, diminish, or not effect your game play? Mostly enjoyed the event so i would say enhanced XII) Eternal Championship 1) Was this an enjoyable experience for you? Only to 5 2) Were you inclined towards doing it repeatedly only to get the Bowdaar 3) Do you feel the rewards are worth completing the EC and why? Nope rather do heroics if i am going after "rewards" XIV) Absent Content On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being not caring and 10 being most important, how much did you wish there was more new content for: 1) Operations (-1) 2) Flashpoints (2 only if have solo mode) 3) Galactic Starfighter (1) 4) Seeker Droid/Macrobinoculars (1) 5) Reputation Leveling (5)
  14. wow...one good response then this.... **facepalm** I think you are the one that needs to open their eyes. where exactly are you getting these statistics to base that statement on? MMO does NOT mean must have raids pvp and other group activities ...again you can have a completely solo play game and it would still be a mmo the Core of Swtor is a story based RPG MMO with optional group activities not a "group oriented MMO" with some solo activities. It is also a fact that raids pvp and other group activities are played by a "niche" group of players not the general population. if you want actual stats even in 1.2 only 38% OF ALL LEVEL 50 players of the population had played in a op http://dulfy.net/2012/03/05/swtor-guild-summitlive-blogging/ I would suspect that its even lower now I think bioware is showing great sense to renew their focus on story and solo game play ...basically that where the metric tell them the money is . You can think i am the minority but again and this is just my opinion ...that is just you and everyone that believes that is in a sever case of self delusion, This forum is no metric to what the general population wants .. I suspect the forum is populated by a miniscule fraction of the actual player base and most of them turn this place into a negative cese pool. So yes you may have the vocal minority on your side when it comes to the forum but in no way do i think your side is the majority.
  15. I still disagree with your position and still have the same perception of you Yes i have every ground to do so its my opinion.... Also if a day one person were to have the same opinion ...they would have every right and grounds to have that opinion as well People who make statements like yours and think they are more important the longer they are here just appear more in a negative sense to me but just to humor you ....I'm close to 900 days by now if not more which is close 2.5 years i'm legacy level 50 which i achieved without doing group content . basically you safely could say I done everything i want to do multiple times ....and now i starting over and doing it again. literally i started a new knight just recently at level one ...not for the DLV ..just because i wanted to ....and I am doing all the planet story and class missions. Why because its fun but its amusing how some people say ...you happy with this game ...you MUST be new or dont play alot because no one could be happy just doing the same stuff over again" - there are so many negative adjectives i could use to describe that outlook.
  16. Well written response I agree we do share a differance of opinion here i dont agree with all the points you made (ex kofe being a waste of resources) but I don't have anything new to add that hasn't already been said but instead of just not responding I did want to say I thought you expressed yourself well in this response.
  17. what i am saying .the core game itself should be "normal level" whatever they deem that to be . then have different paths for content as they do now ...my comment was geared towards them continuing to make "solo" options of content as they have been doing in the past with the FP as an example. As well as other paths for other play types so everyone has the option to play the way they enjoy as in not forced or bribed to do content they would not choose to do if bribe was not there.
  18. The salt regarding the game and that you have about communication...i dont agree or share it . IMO i think you are very demanding and entitled. Just speaking for me personally Other than knowing when companions are coming back i have no issues about the amount of content they are bring out, my game play experience ( no major tech problems or bugs that concern me or affect my play personally ) or the communication. even with the companions I would "like" to know when that is going to happen but i don't feel they "owe" me an explaination...that is the difference. Don't misinterpreted my position It's nice to know what's coming i enjoy what information about the future they do give however like companions ...i would love to know an exact date when kira is coming back but i dont feel they "owe" me that information. and I feel as strongly about that as pvpers/ops feel about their info. What also helps me personally is unlike some i don't get stressed out over state of a video game ....
  19. that's also a choice ...if you want to interact find people play around the same times as you who like to group and raid , do dailies, do heroics together , a social guild that just hangs out and talks rps, try to put stuff together on your own in fleet chat.. ...... Again .. choices..... lots of choices to interact with people .......if you dont take them dont blame Bioware for "making a game where no one talks " ...but then there are no carrots doing any of that ...soooo.... again putting your preference on to others ...are you saying everyone must like "challenge" now
  20. In sense that if you like doing "x" more but its "old" or not giving you enough reward for the "effort" so your going to do "y" instead because its more "cost effective with better rewards " even you dont enjoy it as much ......hey if that's what you consider fun,....... just speaking for myself I dont need a "goal" from bioware or for them to hold my hand and show me how to have fun with the content they have already provided...i can make my own goals figure that out on my own without any carrots. Not saying i dont follow carrots them from time to time .. just saying i dont "Need" them personally.
  21. Do you really think you sound important ??.....you sound as egotistical as those who say they are entitled to more communication because they are customers and "business and marketing" Yep its exactly why i do because i find it fun. No other reason I find repeating the stories and just general game play "fun" BTW that is an example of ego , self importance and a Zealous attitude if you would presume to say otherwise If you need a "carrot" to motivate you to have fun ....**facepalm**... i guess whatever works for you i wish you and all your enjoyment following your carrots. Nope that has nothing to do with it . Surprise some people are not like you. All you and other like you who think this way some and blame Bioware for the "death of grouping and pvp" "free choice is bad bribe people to see things our way " sound like zealots preaching their doctrine. really there is just as much point talking to them as trying to talk a diehard vegan out of being a vegan. Honestly i said everything that needs to be said and just continue to state my opinion if you want to disagree you're welcome to . but dont expect response from me . of course like a true zealot you take no response as a victory but that's your opinion to .
  22. edited - simply going to say Disagree i think i have repeated myself enough just look though my post history for my response .... ....and i disagree with your other point ot ... imo this is their game their vision and they have the right to give us information when they feel its in their best interest to do so. __________ general statement not part of response It's obvious there are some people in thisform who are not interested in fair play and equal treatment You're Welcome to your opinion but i hope that Bioware continues to make a Story based MMO and continues to make things soloable and give even more multiple gameplay options and paths as they have been doing in recent history. so everyone can have fun playing the way they want to play IMO Making everything more accessible and easier to achieve and giving equal choice and treatment to everyone is the best way to improve the game
