I've played the kot** chapters on all of the classes and they're all fun. It's a one-size-fits-none story, but every class gets their own cool dialogue and scattered nods to their class stories. I know some posters around here are utterly convinced that no non-force-user could ever defeat a force-using villain, so they find the boss fights jarring, but I blame the movies and a lack of imagination for that.

No accounting for taste, I guess.

I did the flashpoint solo in story mode before I actually did the deal with cutscenes and Theron support. I ran it with an operative with only 230 gear and Niko with 32 influence. It is not impossible.

if Arcann's little quip before the flashpoint is any indicator, and you believe Charles' tweets about including Theron in future content, then it doesn't seem very productive to assume that characters who can die are completely written out of the story anymore.

I've played the piano since I was 8 and picked up the guitar when I was 18 or so. I go through pretty long lapses of activity, but I follow several dozens of bands and composers almost religiously so music is always a huge part of my life. When I'm not being lazy, I have a typical guitar workout that I do 5-6 days a week. Same with piano. I start with some finger exercises, move on to some scales, practice two songs I'm learning, repeat finger exercises, have fun with songs I've mastered, then back to finger exercises. Sometimes I'll start with a warmup and just mess around. I typically spend between 15 and 40 minutes, depending on my mood, on the workout. If you want guided lessons for a bunch of modern songs, I recommend picking up Rocksmith. It is about the same price as one private lesson from a tutor, but you have unlimited access. It has lessons for lead and rhythm guitar as well as bass.

Agreed. Between those and the (admittedly sparse) dialogue flavor for different species, this is one thing Bioware did exactly right.

I could not agree more: horror and revulsion. I was honestly just thinking to myself I could probably deal with the upcoming tank nerfs, but like hell I want my JK to wind up as a baby-daddy. That'd cause me to retire the toon once and for all for sure.

The Master's Datacron gets you to level 70 and you can play the whole vanilla story. Or are you talking about something else?

Same here. As much as I love that they made most things available for direct sale, these conquest changes have killed my desire to run alts and gear them up with fancy cosmetics.

Transfers were only cheap for specific reasons at specific points in time to help server populations. My guess is that the cheapest you'll ever see them again would be 10%-20% off during a holiday sale or something like that.

lvl 60 boosted characters also don't get access to titles gained from the class stories. That may not bother you, but a boosted sith will never get to display the Darth or Lord titles and Jedi don't get Master. You'll still be called Darth Imperious or Lord Wrath in dialogue though.

I always thought Vector was pretty cool. I remember the first time playing through his dialogue and he said he was literally covered in bugs and I just kind of shrugged and thought "well, technically, so is everyone, nbd."

Anthem never really interested me. If I want to play an FPS I'll just go and play any of the 10+ titles I already own that I know I enjoy. Why bother with this new Destiny rip-off? I still like FIFA, so I might not boycott EA entirely, but I'm less inclined to buy other games from them after this whole fiasco. I'm still upset about what happened with Mass Effect: Andromeda.

I've grown pretty fond of Traiter Among the Chiss. Mostly because I can speed through it with my stealth characters and farm those wall fountain decorations, they add a touch of class to any stronghold.

I still think people are overestimating and trivializing space-resurrections. If it were really so easy then everyone would do it, including every other fan-fave who is currently dead. Seems really cheap and hamfisted to me (as per most of the suggested methods so far). If it were well written and compelling I'll gladly eat my words, but I'm not optimistic. I'd be fine with a force-ghost companion though. That'd be unique and I can see some cool story coming out of that. Maybe give her some fancy animations like Lokin where she's mostly insubstantial until it is time to fight.

As much as I liked Vaylin as a character and despite how much I disliked not having the option to at least try and rehabilitate her, I really think we should let the poor girl rest in peace. Even if pseudo-scientific necromancy didn't smack of violation of personhood to me, I'd still find it cheesy and dumb. Especially in the Star Wars setting. Can't we move on? New characters please. And if we are presented with an unfortunate psycho again, let us try to help them.

It's true; I don't understand the aversion at all, but I know it exists. You do you, it's your game just as much as mine. I don't want to be forced to pvp as much as anyone else. Seeing as how none of the previous events have been automatic (as far as I know), I thought the option to not participate was a given. My mistake.
