  1. Last I saw, the ignore list has a limit. If that hasn't been removed, ignore won't work for long.
  2. I'm torn on the subject. On the one hand, I hate the obnoxious, inappropriate conversations that people seem compelled to start in Gen Chat. On the other hand, it only happens when there are more players in game, so I kinda see it as a sign of recovery. As far as I can tell, there are still plenty of really bad conversation, but maybe that will change as more of us learn how to report instead of avoid. I normally just switch to another tab, but I may just go learn how to report people .
  3. I personally don't have a compulsive need to spend all my tokens. I just want to be able to horde my event decos and do other stuff too.
  4. I would prefer using more tokens at once as a multiplier to spin rewards, but a compromise would be having the auto spin limited to a certain number of spins. For example, 5 spins at a time as long as the character stays in range of the machine.
  5. TL;DR Depends on how it is implemented. It could range from months to years of effort with some or all of the team having to chip in. ___________________________ Regarding time spent, it depends on the amount of content and type. For example, new emails from the companions will likely take less time from the writers than a whole scene. Going by the original poster's initial request, it could take as much time as an expansion if as much content is included. (We have a lot of companions these days). Incidentally, it could also involve as much variety in content as any other expansion since the main goal is to focus on the companions' story rather than exclude any game play style. More than likely it could pull some of every part of the team to spend time working on it, especially for diverse content, but certain kinds of content weigh more heavily on certain members of the team. For example, story heavy missions will lean on writers and new items and scenes may lean on artists. New mechanics, however, will need programmers and designers. Even though some time can be saved by reusing existing assets and mechanics someone on the team still has to put it all together and hook it up to work. Not to mention the fact that there is the need for voice actors who are external to the team and may not be available. In terms of trade offs, it's hard to predict what it could detract from or how while on the outside. Just the same, everything implemented has come at the cost of something else that could have been or may have got something of a start. That just seems to be the nature of MMO development, so I feel it has no choice but to be a trade off. On the flip side, all development needs to be organized, so it's not likely it would be shoved to the top of the to-do list even if someone decided this needs to be in game. It could still be years before work started on it even if they decide to put it in the backlog today.
  6. 20 wraiths into the first 5 minutes, I think players would complain about that too. However, it would be nice if it were converted into some other kind of win. It would be nice if we could get rep tokens or some other kind of useful consumable instead. Or, convert them into golden certificate wins and allow the exchange of 30 certificates for a cartel coin. You'd be swimming in certs but allowing the conversion into something more useful should negate that.
  7. That wasn't the case at the time they changed it, but the player base has changed since then. However, that solution becomes much more problematic if you want more than one of the rewards. I would rather not have to spend the time it takes for the spinning animation to complete 100 times just to get 1 wraith then have to buy more coins just so I can do it again just to get another wraith when I what I want is 30 golden certificates. As I've said with this event in the past, it needs to be a money sink or a time sink but both is just too much. Right now, current changes have at least made it a time sink instead of both.
  8. I would say add it, at least, for people on your friends list that also have you on their friends list.
  9. Now if people are just using the king pin's without the buff, that is a waste of time. I'm quite certain they were never designed to be worthwhile without the buff. It's tedious but I go back and forth between the smugglers and kingpins because I get certs fairly quickly that way. I usually don't go more than 2 mins before I get something I want from the kingpins.
  10. This would be nice. I was not a fan when they converted currency from being items because I lost my ability to shuffle them all to one character.
  11. It would also be nice if we got daily interactions with companions too. Something like that interacting with that guy who runs your pirate crew on Rishi or delivering alliance crates to Oggy and Sana-Rae or C2's comfort mission. Maybe you can find companion gifts they especially like and deliver it through the daily mission and get a much higher return on influence than if you give it the normal way. That would be a nice alternative to the commander's compendium and 50 hours of clicking companion gifts.
  12. Wining back chips was a leftover concession from changing it so you didn't just lose almost all the time. I feel that the entire slot payout set up need to be revisited but this is still preferable to the lose all the time scenario. Since the slots use their own currency and pay out in non credit currency, I can see how making them more like real slots, in terms of payouts, might not help. However, I would hope that the team could look at making wins more frequent so you don't get so many chips back, allow you to put in multiple chips for multiple spins, and allow you to spend money (the credit sink) in some other ways so that the event still serves its purpose. Buying buffs might be nice. Surely, the house doesn't only provide cheating devices only for sabaac. Maybe there will even be a random buff that works like drinking from the gambler's bar. Bonus points if people can buy stuff with slot machine tokens so they can stop freaking out about not being able to spend down to zero.
  13. It would be nice if we could place a copy for each character that has one. I can see how companions might be difficult but even just getting the ability to place more than once copy of a mount in strongholds would be useful.
  14. More missions centered on all the companions so that we can get to know them and interact with them more. I'd prefer they be more than stronghold decorations.
  15. Every now and again I will try a gold pack but that is still a rare occurrence. I imagine others are in the same boat. However, I have spent quite a bit on direct sales. I wouldn't mind risking a little on cheaper packs that are randomized as long as I knew I was going to get something along the lines of what I want. However, just as an aside to the main request, the prices of single deco packs need to be revised. It's 500 coins for a single decoration pack but it's somewhere around 100 coins per deco for the Mek-Sha Decoration Bundle. I think single decoration packs should be closer to 100 coins since it's not even guaranteed what kind of deco you will get.
  16. Given how wide the drop table has got to be by now, just getting a gold pack doesn't mean you will get something useful to you. Can we get decoration packs that focus on subtypes? For example, a table pack, a personnel pack, a monitors pack. This should increase the chances for players of finding something along the lines of what they want. It should also be less unappealing to people who don't like leaving their purchases entirely up to chance. It may also help hold us over until the CM has far more decorations available. However, I feel like the CM will need an overhaul to support large scale deco availability.
  17. Looks like the problem has changed slightly for me. Now I'm shown as being on Onderon (instead of Mek-Sha) even though I entered my stronghold from Nar Shaddaa. In the event any of this info is useful: My character is Imazi (Jedi Consular, Sage, Level 75) she entered one of my Nar Shaddaa Sky Palaces (I have 3 from the server merge) from the republic Promenade Barge on Nar Shaddaa. I attempted to use the open location in galaxy map button for an Onderon mission from the mission tracker. I checked the galaxy map from the button around the minimap and it also had me on Onderon. It's possible the open location in galaxy map button is the problem. I had done the same thing back when I got stuck on Mek-Sha. There were 2 Nar Shadda Sky Palace instances at the time and one was full Her companion (Lana) was summoned I had just switched characters from my smuggler Jessak who was also stationed at the same stronghold. Exit area still gives the option to return to Nar Shaddaa. Edit: I traveled to Onderon to buy from one of the reputation vendors then headed back to my Nar Shaddaa stronghold, the same one as earlier. I checked the galaxy map, using the button around the minimap, and it shows me on Nar Shaddaa. The exit area button gives the option to return to Onderon however. Using the open in galaxy map button from the mission track on an Onderon mission still gives me the option to travel to Onderon. Instead I traveled to Mek-Sha to buy from a vendor there. Opening the galaxy map, my character is shown on Mek-sha. After buying from the vendor, I returned to the stronghold. I then showed as being on Onderon again. Just for kicks I moved to one of my coruscant strongholds. Still showed as being on Onderon.
  18. To my knowledge, the only place it is mentioned is the codex entry. However, I imagine they are just imitating other games that have a winter and a summer event that happen every year.
  19. I'm gonna have to try feeling funky when I have a lot of emp chips to burn. However, the decoration the buffs come from is the Gambler's Bar and you can get it by redeeming golden certificates from the event. Also, the bar can be found in the casinos.
  20. Keep drinking but be aware that you will eventually randomly die regardless of letting hydration run out.
  21. I wish that there had been a post explaining the changes to the event back when it started but ah well. Maybe next year. In the meantime, has anyone figured out what all the Well buffs do? Here's what I've observed so far. Feeling Speedy - Increases Speed Feeling Tired - drops HP low but doesn't kill. ???- Kills you on the spot Hydration - Tracks the number of drinks in quick succession and kills you randomly after the first one. Feeling Lucky - Same buff as given out by slot machines, increases Kingpin Slots win chance. Feeling Funky - ??? Ooh look Shiny - ??? I also tried using the decoration in my stronghold to see if it made it any easier to figure out some of the buffs but to no avail. I still got the buffs but I couldn't figure them out there either.
  22. Having the event come more often and having private instances would be nice. Bonus points if the rooms have interactables like the gambler's bar that give unique buffs. However, it should be noted that the event is tied by lore to a once a year in-universe holiday, Soovada. While SWTOR totally has a time-wimey situation going, that may be the justification for the frequency.
  23. Expert digging skills. However, I do think it is necessary. I think people gave up on the EA hub as it didn't feel like the community assistants there had a direct line to pass stuff on to the dev team. Also, the bulk of the answering and helping was done by players. It had a completely different dynamic than this forum.
  24. I like this idea. It would also be good for people who want their stronghold to look nice but they don't have any idea of where to put stuff. There's always at least a few other players willing to come in and decorate other people's strongholds.
