  1. Given that you didn't read what I wrote. I'll assume it struck a nerve. You can't point out the flaws of logic you didn't read. But here's the tl'dr version for you.
  2. I don't blame you for feeling like you aren't having fun. Not having the aspect of the game do what you need it to do will leave you like that but taking it out on other people on the forum definitely won't help. Now for a suggestion that might be doable, perhaps they could rework the system that splits off PVE from PVP and use a new shard or whatever those are to create a harder version of the game for those that want it. I don't know if they can make that work without rebalancing but it's possible something like that could work.
  3. No, you missed the part about the genre growing and including more. MMOs in particular are usually inclusive of many types of gameplay. MMORPG stands for massively multiplayer online role playing game. None of that changes because of a person focusing on story, puzzles, stronghold decorations, outfit design, mini games, etc. As for how I know you're insecure... You are attempting to use a virtual system to establish real-world worth. That wouldn't be necessary if you esteemed other stuff in your real life more than the accomplishments you believe are being withheld from you by the game not being harder. Accomplishments that will go poof with the game when it one day shuts down. It's not complaining over the difficulty that exposes your insecurities, it's the fact that you are attacking others for not regarding your favorite aspect of the game in the exact same way. Despite that I haven't said there's anything wrong with combat, I just don't want stories mode to be harder, you're behaving as if you resent anyone who doesn't support your stance that we need to like harder combat in order to stave off shame. I don't feel any shame in connection with this. I don't have to. It's just a game. But you seem to have some great need to protect it. THAT is how I know you are insecure. You can't just like combat and accept that others have no need for it. You keep trying to tie self worth to it, either your own or that of others.
  4. Gameplay is a varied concept. I won't bore you an explanation you won't bother to read. Nonetheless, trying to make people feel bad about themselves for having different interests just tells me you need to do some work leveling up in real life to learn to better deal with your own insecurities. Regardless, if you have no shame outing yourself like that, I have no reason to have shame about playing the Sims in Space! and Choose Your Own Star Wars Adventure. Before this goes much farther, though, it's worth noting that past forum discussions on this topic have already established that SWTOR is a themepark MMO and that trying to use its combat as a measuring stick doesn't carry much weight.
  5. No please... I am one of the people that is just here for the story, not the combat. I ran through Spirit of Vengence as part of the latest story and it was painful. Bugs aside, it was keeping me from the next story beat which is all I actually wanted out of it. I don't mind adding difficulty for those that like it, but I don't want combat to be increased for story mode and have it slow me down more from getting to the part I actually like. Especially since it's not like my Jedi gets to use the diplomatic option all that much.
  6. Not sure if you saw this one from Charles yet.
  7. I could get behind this idea. I'd like it because then you can narrow what is actually available to buy down not just what could technically go on that hook. Although I really do wish we could purchase personal decorations from the decoration window the way guild donations work.
  8. I'm not a huge fan of the cost and availability of decorations but the CM is far more reasonable than the GTN or pack drops. The inflation in-game is out of hand the pack drop odds are not very helpful.
  9. You could possibly have a little military base command center on ilum but I doubt civilian apartments. However, I don't think the empire still has a noticeable presence on Ilum by the current point in time. So I imagine an ilum stronghold would be below cross-faction strongholds.
  10. It would be nice if we had the ability to choose the state of individual doors in our stronghold. For example, we could set one to open, closed, or locked to certain key types/players. I'd especially like this for those that initially stand between us and locked sections of a stronghold but go away forever once we've unlocked that part of the stronghold. I think Yavin has a few of those.
  11. I support this as I am in favor of more mails from all of our companions!
  12. I can get behind this idea but I'd make a slightly different implementation suggestion. Since body type changes aren't likely, I would argue instead to have armor sets that have multiple chest pieces and pants options that simulate the requested differences. Kinda like how they are now releasing hood up and hood down options. I present the Series 212 Cybernetic Armor as proof this could work. Notice how different the chest and legs are from the default body types. It's clearly possible to depart from the norm. https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/series-cybernetic-212/ My guess is that character models are broken up by armor areas. I suspect that when you put on armor, your character switches to using that armor's model for that body part. At least for chest and pants, I think it is replacing the body region not fitting over it, or it can. Now, this makes sense for making quick tweaks and slapping on doodads, but it seems to me that it also leaves open the possibility for underlying body structure customization as long as the seams line up. My one concern is that if the team implements this for one armor set, there might be more demand for other armors like that which they might not be able to meet. It might be opening a can of worms, even with the armor being available on the CM. They might not have the resources to keep players happy once that genie is out of the bottle. Not to mention that it would be harder to justify not providing those same variations for future armors which might require more new artwork, AKA more time and money expense.
  13. Please keep adding old pack decorations as direct sales to the cartel market. Given how large the deco pool is now and the low availabilty/high prices on the GTN, this feels like the only reasonable way to obtain the decorations I'm after. If adding them individually is too hard, perhaps they could be included in their own decoration bundles. For example, I would really like to see the Jedi Library decoration added to the CM. If adding that and the other decorations from that pack would be too much extra effort, maybe we could get a pack based bundle such as: Deep Core Explorer’s Decoration Bundle: 2 Banner: Jedi Temple 2 Jedi Library 2 Temple Chair (Ornate) 2 Temple Sconce 2 Meditation Chamber 2 Temple Bed 1 Temple Ceiling Light 1 Jedi Small Council Table 1 Temple Clock 1 Throne of Enlightenment 1 Commemorative Statue Of Satele Shan 1 Kel Dor Jedi Master 1 Meditative Padawan (Female) And something similar for other previously released packs with decorations. A bundle is not my ideal solution since I would rather just buy the few decorations out of that pack that I need, but it would be better than nothing.
  14. As an RPer on Satele Shan, transferring characters will result in more losses for me than a server merge, mostly around strongholds. I have 3 nar shadda strongholds after the last merger, and I doubt that would transfer over any other way any time soon. I would not mind a server merge but I will stay on Satele Shan for now.
  15. Or they might just be too busy to implement anything that isn't necessary to pull off the next major release.
  16. It would be nice to have more unlockable merchants throughout the galaxy, like the one on Mek-Sha. It felt like a really nice reward for exploring and doing non-story path missions. Bonus points if they are decoration vendors that sell decorations the look like stuff on the planet they are on. I have long wanted planetary decoration vendors.
  17. Actually, montrals are actually what people think of as horns on a togruta. They do in fact have lekku, aka head tails. Although I admit there does seem to be a bit a difference as to what is considered a part of the montrals and what is considered a lekku depending on which source you look at. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Montral https://www.starwars.com/databank/togruta https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Lekku https://www.starwars.com/news/much-to-learn-you-still-have-7-things-you-might-not-know-about-togrutas I also support longer lekku for male Togruta.
  18. I liked these too. Regarding Lana and Scourge Another thing I like was: __________________________________________ Are there any story threads that you really want to see tied up soon or developed further? My big one is companion stories since we have so many.
  19. And engineers, technicians, analysts... Years ago I asked for personnel arrangements as well. Groups of personnel in a single decoration. Like a party crowd, protesters, armed attackers, etc.
  20. I don't mind that it's more Mandalorians even though I personally don't need more right now. Most of our decoration releases have been tied to the upcoming story. Although, I do wish we would get some seated personnel and ones with different animations than usual.
  21. It would be nice if we could trade in large stacks of low-yield companion gifts for a single companion gift of equivalent value. It would save us time and not seem so ridiculous. 50 blasters into a single companion gift spam session and even Corso should start looking at us strangely.
  22. I would say it depends on how much you play. I don't have 200 mil on my account but I also don't play often. Since I'm not a new player, I, fortunately, don't need to buy stuff from the GTN very often. However, 1 mill is probably an outrageous sum for a new player and getting to 50 mill would probably be daunting, especially if you don't have a max level character.
  23. My favorite for looks is Traitor Among The Chiss. <3 Copero. My favorite for Muscle Memory Runs is Malestrom Prison. I started out selling those imperial computers that dropped from the bonus boss. I miss Bonus Boss deco drops! My favorite for rewards are the Star Fortresses. I like coming out of it with 4 decorations since that really the only thing that makes me run flashpoints in the first place. Also, I like how they weren't the exact same layout every time.
  24. I like the idea of a bunch of converging story arcs. That would be impressive. Having it ready in time for the Anniversary would be doubly impressive. What parts of the stories did you all like? From EoO: As for SoV:
  25. I thought I had posted on this topics before, but when I went back into my thread list I didn't see it, so let me rectify this oversight. Thanks for the story. I really liked both of them. I also think that: While it's probably still going to take time for me to fully connect and engage with the game again, this was a heartening step in the right direction. Even though SoV was painful to run, I main a Seer Sage Consular and don't actually like combat, by the end of it, I had enjoyed the ride... well, the story at least. But it sure is going to be a pain to try to get decos from it. I hope we get more stories in the future, and I hope they continue to be this interesting. Maybe even one day, we'll get back to the point where each class has it's own slightly different story.
