  1. Bioware, since you are nerfing Operatives, you might want to see this screenshot http://home.versatel.nl/bsc.dwessels/Huttball.jpg Before anyone asks, this was a Huttball match, solely with Operatives, Mercenaries and Sorcerers. Seems to me like Mercenaries and Sorceres are equally popular, maybe because they are overpowered? Just a hint.
  2. I currently have a level 50 Operative with about 1/2 Champion gear. I don't think really think that our class is overpowered at all, the high damage is needed to supplement our lack of defenses and utilty. I can however understand that hidden strike as it stands, with buffs, can be a bit too devastating on an unsuspecting target. Therefore I think there's one simple thing that balances this, while still making sure Operatives are a competitive class: Change meticulously kept blades (the talent right below acid blade) to increase the extra critical damage on hidden strike to 5%, 10%, 15% damage per talent point spent. Or perhaps remove hidden strike from this multiplier at all.
  3. I have noticed I can still move and attack people after the buzzer as well, but not everytime. I think perhaps it's because the resolve bar is full, we sort of resist the endgame stun and still be able to move and attack for the 15 seconds we have to wait for the actual exit. I too have killed lots of people this way, just can't resist a little bit of revenge.
  4. If the resolve bar is ever so slightly filled, hidden strike will not knock your target down. I guess the server delay made your hidden strike activate just late enough for the enemies resolve bar to be actually empty.
  5. Over the past 2 weeks since I dinged 50 on this Operative (I already have a 50 Assassin and Mercenary) I found that the Operative excels in close combat, more so than the Assassin, but is not very good at ranged damage or healing. Mercs and Sorcs are much better for healing cause they are fully ranged classes and less susceptible to interrupts.
  6. Stick to the center, stay close to the tanks to assist them with dps, or stay close to the sorcs to protect them. Alternatively look around for single targets, preferably on low HP to finish them off. Avoid the scaffolding as much as possible cause you will be pulled away or knocked off in seconds and then you're cannon fodder for the mercs and sorcs. Btw our snare (root when specced into it) is extremely useful cause it works even when a target has a full resolve bar.
  7. This works fine if said Mercenary has level 47 greens and is a keyboard turner. Against a skilled and similarly geared Mercenary, or Sorcerer for that matter, an Operative stands no chance since they have enough CC and/or knockback abilities and a shield + healing. I'm OK with the current state of our class however since we can choose our fights and always have the element of surprise. The coming nerf will moderately impact our effectiveness in group PVE, but have a massive impact on solo PVE and PVP. Especially for solo PVE I need the knockdown and burst to take targets down, as the Operative has the worst survivability when it comes to overall health, shields, armor, defense and utilities.

    Ilum PVP is awful

Give me a bubble that absorbs 4k damage like a sorcerer/sage and I'll gladly trade in my vanish.
  9. Did you actually play WoW? Alterac Valley at level 60 was one of the biggest, baddest and best PVP experience in any MMO. Epic battles over control in the center crater trying to get the big warlord to appear from handing in blood and metal. Battles could last for several hours.
  10. Do like I do and write down the wins and losses per warzone, you will find that huttbal is pretty much 50%. As for The Voidzone and Alderaan our server is actually losing a lot to the reps recently, probably because most of them are geared, wheras most our geared players are doing premades in huttball.
  11. I would reroll a sorcerer were it not for the fact I already have a sith assassin and dont really fancy going through the same story again. Sorcerers atm are the Gods in the game, superior damage over any class, superior healing, superior CC and lots of defensive capabilities and shields. Over the past week I've had many battles against sorcs where they absorb all damage from hidden strike with their bubble, then take about 5k damage in total from shiv and backstab, knock me back with a root applied, can still stun me afterwards, heal through my damage and intrrupts and kill me pretty fast with 4k lightning crits. Even if a sorcerers bubble gets taken away they are still massively overpowered, shame bioware bases their nerfs on the whines from 25% of their plyerbase being sorcerers
  12. Sorcerers/Sages top damage and top healing. No balance needed clearly.
  13. Tempest of Set in AoC, Stormcaller Elementalist in Rift, Sorcerer in SWTOR. Hey I see a pattern here. In WoW however pretty much every class has been overpowered at some point.
  14. That's because rogues in vanilla WoW could actually easily kill someone within a stun lock, and even if they didn't manage they could gouge, blind or vanish and do it again. In TOR an Operative opens on a sorc, all damage from hidden strike gets absorbed by the shield, then backstab and shiv, combined with the acid dot do 6k to 7k damage at best and the Operative is free game. Since the resolve bar is entirely full we cannot use any CC anymore. The interrupt only works against one of the heals, the other can still easily be cast. Furthermore the shield is back up, sorc is at full health and we get either rooted or double stunned and killed.
  15. You hate fighting other sorcs because it's the only class you cannot kill?
  16. Your nerf is coming after 1.1.1, don't worry. Adapt or reroll while you still can.
  17. An assassin or operative using vanish will not be doing any damage. Furthermore they either require a pretty long time to regenerate, or risk still getting killed very soon if they decide to run straight back in. To immediately resolve your issue I would recommend you to roll a sorcerer, just like 25% of the entire playerbase. Not only can sorcerers do the highest amount of dps, they do it from far away, they can stun, root, knockback, have a shield that easily aborbs 4000 damage and they can heal.
  18. Star Wars, Revenge of the Sith Sorcerers.
  19. Change the flashbang to have a 30 second cooldown and a knockback instead of an incapacitation effect. Problem solved.
  20. No. Just no. You were either dreaming or imagining things. First of all Ops and Scoundrels get the exact same nerf on the Test server. Secondly a lvl 18 doesn't have hidden strike and or laceration, they are very weak in melee in the lower levels and decent at range. That changes as they progress. Furthermore lvl 34 - 49? Maybe you guys shouldn't play without armor?

    Who is not OP?

Marauders and assassins need a moderate buff, sorcerers need a pretty big nerf, mercenaries need tracer missile changed, rest is fine.
  22. DaniWes

    Sorc in PvP

That's only because the 1 hit wonders (aka commando and mercenaries) are somewhat overpowered as well. Trace missile needs its damage reduced by 20%, have a 10 second cooldown or have its energy cost increased is all. Knowing Bioware however they will also nerf railshot and make them wear medium armor.
