  1. I was thinking the same thing and it totally reminds me of that. This tactic works, was done to my team twice when I was the solo healer. They marched through each door this way. I do agree it takes way too much coordination for pugs, but once rated opens up you can bet this will become an issue and I suspect whining about the door will commence there after.
  2. Tanks mitigation only works against kinetic attacks. We don't mitigate tech/force attacks OR internal damage types. Therefore we only effectively mitigate other melee classes attacks. Ranged tech/force (aka magic) attacks burn us down just as fast as cloth wearers. So we get rolled by most classes in this game since most classes are anything but melee. A true tank has like zero mitigation against ranged attacks which is why I no longer play my guardian. I rolled a scoundrel for a few reasons: Ranged attacks, mobility, escapability, republic has fail numbers of healers in WZ's.
  3. DPS down everyone equally, keep healers tied up and/or dead. Kill everyone at once rather than one at a time. Sounds simple, requires coordination, but thats all there is to it. The door mechanic of 30 second time out allows for quick win. On the odd chance you kill everyone and they spawn just as the door opens, simply repeat this process. I've seen this done quite a few times now by well organized groups - works especially well against teams with only 1 or 2 healers. They actually stop hitting people close to death and switch targets with the full intent being to drop every player as close to the same time as possible. Just thought I'd share this since everyone complains so much about Voidstar. The main issue with voidstar sadly enough is usually lack of healers.
  4. This post is EXACTLY why <50 Warzones are so much more fun. If you actually wanted competition it is there - you just want to pwn n00bs with your immense e-peen. Get a job and a life and come back later.
  5. You clearly are posting on the wrong forums in the wrong game. My tank doesn't mitigate a damn thing in this game. Level 60 valor with full champion gear and sorcerors stand in my face casting on me basically laughing as my guardian spec'd TANK can't do a damn thing. THey DPS me down as if I'm naked. Tanks do not mitigate internal or force damage, and we do crap DPS.
  6. Because you: a. Have no life b. Have no job c. Have lots of free time on one hand d. All of the above Does not make you a hardcore gamer - or even a good one. The absolute BEST pvp game ever was Ultima Online - in that game every one was pretty much equal - save the few who had a rare weapon which gave you like a 1% advantage. You can write a wall of text of how you want this and want that, and it should be earned, blah blah blah - it all translates into "I have low self esteem and want to dominate people with crappy gear in this game so I can feel good about myself." People with skill and wanting a challenge have been playing in the <50 PvP arenas while we wait for RANKED PVP so whiner QQ'ers like you can finally be stomped out.
  7. TROLL Go level up a melee class and then one play one in PvP. This is the most melee unfriendly game - ever.
  8. Speeders should go much faster. 90/100/110 is too slow. I suggest: 100/125/150 Travel Tattooine and tell me don't agree.
  9. People say Sorcerors are OP because: 1) 3K damage bubble - absorbs 3k of ANY damage type, including force/tech - unlike absorb/defense. 2) Can heal quite well when spec'd for DPS 3) Have multiple means of CC 4) Incredible damage output 5) Because they are
  10. The core issue with PvP gear if you listen to the interview is that spending oodles of time in warzones and procuring gear is no measure of skill. So... To actually have skill a requirement to procure better gear is done by: Ranked PvP that is CROSS-SERVER If you are a casual PvP'er in Champion/Battlemaster gear (Me) - you don't really need to worry about this, in fact you will probably start doing better in PvP since the best players will be too busy in the ranked matches to care about the solo non ranked stuff. My only worry here is that these ranked guys with the best gear in the game come into solo non-ranked warzones so they can dominate. Maybe Bioware needs an inverse bolster so these people with power trips can't do this.

  12. Sage = Sorceror so yes. All sorcerors...

    PvP Read BioWare!

The difference between Champion and Battlemaster is so negligible it would hardly warrant it's own arena. Classes are not balanced, heck even mirror classes are not mirrors. I've played: Sorceror Sage Guardian Scoundrel Shadow Commando Just in those 6 classes I can tell you there are one that you can simply not kill in 1 vs 1 and there are others that you can drop faster than Paris Hilton's panties.
  14. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This. Putting one class in front of a door, that can AoE DoT people, DIE, run back and AOE again to stop people from planting is complete design fail. Clearly if you think this is an issue - you were the one guy AoE dotting.
  15. I found this really entertaining.... All 8 opposing members in a <50 WZ were Sorcerors. No they are not over powered, working as intended. Please explain to me how this could even be remotely possible given the amount of characters we have to choose from.
