  1. Since they are segregated servers, in which you can't even transfer players btwn Europe and North America, they should be able to have separate maintenance times as well. That way they don't so negatively affect their European player base.
  2. Because for EU players its already approaching late evening, and there is, as yet, no idea when servers are going to come back online. So EU players are going to lose an entire day. Whereas NA players will probably still be on at prime time.
  3. IF you don't have the buffs from the terminal that boss is really brutal on MDPS. I faired the best(as in got it down first try on my PT), but they are more manuaverable. Next was my Jugg, a trial but still did it first try, then my Mara, died a couple of times before I figured out the best time to deploy my defensives and was still a trial. Whereas my Merc chewed him up and spit him out. PS All attempts were done in 204 PvP gear.
  4. Please... Learn to read before commenting. The Dev's clearly stated and I am quoting: There I even made it big and bold so that you could see it. The primary difference is that you are going to actually have to play a little bit, not just send your comp off to fight the boss, get up make yourself a sandwich and move on to the next boss when you get back. As it currently stands its pretty absurd. If I put my comp on DPS mode, even as a DPS, and engage 5mobs in an H2, my comp has killed 4(usually one shot kills) by the time I'm done with the first one, it wasn't until I got my AP PT in almost full 224 that he could keep up with the comp. Comp in healing mode, even going for the achieve in the Star Fortress H2, my health never went below 90%, if not for OPs I would just remove my defensive cool downs from my tool bar. Even in tank mode, my comp is still killing mobs faster than my DPS can keep up with them. As the Devs said. It was fun, for about a week, and then it just got boring. We have been promised that we will still be able to do H2's with our comps and without the need to group. So personally I'm happy, and unless they don't follow through on that promise, most of the complaining is just more of chicken little screaming that the sky is falling.

  6. Honestly no one likes the gear grind. In 4.0 it has gotten worse as all bosses now only drop a single unassembled token whereas in previously some bosses dropped 2 tokens, add to that the importance of set bonus and the stat disparity between coms gear and token gear, and you get a lot of people wanting that gear. Now if you do an OP like EC everyone there knows that only half the raid, at most, is going to go away with a token. So I totally get the anger in a GF operation wherein someone needs on and wins more than one of those tokens. Also, in my opinion and from my experience, since the launch of 4.0 "Ninja" looting has gotten much, much worse, and the reason for that is the crazy gear grind that they have put into 4.0. There are supposed "hardcore" raid guilds that won't let ppl onto their SM raid teams until they are in full 220 set bonus gear. You have nightmare modes which require full 224 gear or an insanely expensive "crystal of nightmare fury." So yeah I would love it if BW did something to reduce the gear grind, it would be much appreciated. Doesn't mean that the RL that the OP mentioned wasn't a scammer. They convinced people to come along on an Operation by promising a certain loot distribution. They lied about that, that is a scammer. Sadly BW doesn't seem to care about having a toxic community and making decisions that only serve to increase that toxicity.

  8. Realistically here is what I would like: 2 new ops/year with three tiers(SM/HM/NiM). Enough token drops in any given raid that every member of the raid group can potentially have some form of gear progression. NiM that doesn't require an insanely expensive consumable(Crystal of Nightmare Fury) or a super long gear grind(only 1HM op/week that drops 224 gear and then again as few as 4 token drops) in order to have a resaonable chance of clearing it. In the near future I would like to see: Conclusion or continuation of the Ravagers storyline. An Op that specifically deals with KoTFE.
  9. So you've asked for it to be made harder for everyone so that you are forced to have more of a challenge because you don't want to make an "artificial" challenge. Even if we go with your revised point of view asking for an H2/H4 toggle, that would be an artificial challenge. It is just an illusion of developer intentionality in choice of difficulty. See there are options in game to make those H2s more challenging. You could put away your comps altogether, you could use a rank 1 comp instead of a rank 50 comp. You could create an account that doesn't have all the datacrons and companion stories completed granting an additional 400 points of presence. Sure as an endgame player who has completed all that stuff and gotten comp influence really high, H2s can be quite easy, especially when done with a high rank comp. However, for a new player, not even a casual, but a new player lacking the various legacy perks they are still fairly challenging. Also you may want to take a peek at the gen chat on Odessen where ppl are constatly saying stuff like "OMG how I am supposed to be able to beat the boss in the H2." Even with the buffs and the supposedly OP comps more than a few are having problems. Really if you want challenge I suggest you look to HM/NiM ops or PvP. That is where the challenge if found in this game.
  10. I haven't had a ticket take more than 48hrs and most are within 24. I've put in 3 since launch of KOTFE and they have all been addressed. You can also try just calling. That usually gets you resolution within 15min.
  11. Have to disagree. This game is Mask of the Betrayer: Star Wars Edition. I'm betting that after the Valkorian story arc is complete we get caught in some mysterious cosmic storm and stranded on an uncharted planet somewhere...
  12. I've never grouped for an H2. From my very first play through this game 3.5yrs ago I have always solo'd H2s, it could be done and it was a very nice challenge in what was otherwise the typical BW RPG in which you are virtually guaranteed to never fail. H4... sure need a group, most of the time, though there are a few of those where proper tacts will prevail and you can solo them. So essentially this FP/Heroic has 4 difficulty modes. Grouped with buffs, grouped without buffs, solo with buffs, and solo without buffs, the last of which awards an achieve. So what you are complaining about is players having choice in how they play the game, or at least that is what it seems like to me. Personally I hope they put in a lot more heroics/FPs like this.
  13. Those buffs only work and only last in the phase. So you if aren't running KOTFE you will never enter the phase where they work. It isn't for the whole game, just one Heroic. So I don't really understand what you are complaining about. Just like the Force ghost buffs on Yavin, once you leave Yavin you lose the buffs. So there is one Heroic that has buffs for players who don't feel they can do it without them(or want to race through it). When you leave the phase you lose the buffs.
  14. The Starfortress Heroic has an Achievement called <All for One>, in which you have to do the Heroic ungrouped, and without using any of the terminal buffs. Please do that, take video, and then tell us how OP companions are supposed to be. If you are RDPS, and your comp is a Heals, its not over hard, if you are MDPS I pitty you, and if you are heals as in that video... LOL Really though I promise that you won't be thinking your comp is OP after that.

  16. In short: They have been promising better than cross server queue for pvp for more than 2 years, as wz populations have steadily dropped. So this is it. Compelling ppl to play. Next expansion expect a shock collar in the mail before you can log in, that way they can really compel you to play the parts of the game they want to boost.
  17. Even as servers are giving 5min warning, still no patch notes. This is a disappointing communication failure.
  18. There is supposed to be a terminal that will allow you to reaquire them for questing, at least until the next 9 chapts are released, at which point you can reacquire them in story... But... wait for it... is the anticipation buiiding?... It's bugged.

  22. I call troll on this. If your credit card fails to process Bioware sends you an email. I have gotten them in the past when I had gotten a new credit card and forgot to update the information on Bioware. That's point 1. Point 2 if a credit card payment fails, it really is only your fault. You need to take responsibility for your own finances.

Exactly this. 204 will probably be entry level craftable mods, possibly even below what will be craftable at entry level. 9 Ops that any serious raider had already cleared and knows the tacts to to get first SM gear and then HM gear token drops. Considering the number of alts that most serious raiders already have to speed up the gearing grind, and given the new target rich environment, running ops is going to be the simplest and fastest way to gear. As it is, assuming that I can buy comms gear initially, I will have a full set of whatever gear Radiant crystals can buy for each of my mains in 4.0 as soon as they hit level. Given legacy gear, that will be passed around to alts until it is min/maxed and full set bonus, and given 9 ops... that should take a couple of weeks at best. IF crafters could immediately craft SM lvl mods, then crafting might be viable. Unfortunately with everything that has come out since Tait's first post, sadly it seems clear that crafting is most likely going to be as useless, if not more, as it was in 3.x.
