  1. Ummm 1st time I've posted about this topic...so not sure what your talking about.
  2. I'm starting to consider unsubbing from this game again....there's nothing to do outside of ops. I either work all day and come home, log on, run my op, then stand around bored, or on my days off I do some extra stuff then log off bored till raid time. Not to mention...when are we getting a new op? I will run 4 mans with guildies, help lowbies level, teach the new people tricks etc...I have tried to get into pvp but pvp in this game is just terrible right now. Crew skills suck...nothing unique about any of them...no fun gadgets or mounts that you can make like in other games. You can just sit on your ship and send out companions (many professions this is the only way to level them) They all feel exactly the same with just slightly different items from each. In other games I'd go out and farm when really bored...but that's lame too in this game. The best farming spots for seemingly everything is all in the same place...which I will not mention as it's already always full of people running about farming their chosen item. all the usual things I did for fun in past MMOs don't exist here....or they do in extremely weak forms. I feel like the best thing about this game was the original class stories. However they got boring after running each class up once or twice. Then you had companion stuff, a nice distraction. However in RotHC you limited our class story to faction stories...now in KotfE it's basically the same for everyone....last event I tried to participate in was broken too lol... So....what am I missing? Or am I justifiably bored?
  3. then your healers suck... I have done over 10k hps on my sorc and she's not even near geared yet.....also...yes the average dps might be 6k... on an unbuffed, stationary dummy. From what I've seen watching youtube videos of people who appear to be rather good at their classes and confident enough obviously to make videos....even 2k dps is hard to sustain in pvp because of movments, stuns etc. Now of course this can be said for healers as well, to be fair, but I find healer cooldowns tend to be shorter. For example in an emergency I can pop recklessness Resurgence, and then roaming mend and my health (and group around me) is back in the fight. On a 14 second cooldown. Can't think of any dps abilities that would directly counter that. I'm not the most geared healer (as it's my offspec on my main pve toon) but I can bring someone back from nearly dead to full in maybe 2-3 gcds + shield them. On myself, I have an instant cast heal with a short-ish cooldown that is off the GCD. Making it even easier. Anyway...getting off track, Yah you can find a bad healer and focus them, but as this is about premades, some of these teams are players with a lot of exp doing this and finding a weak healer isn't always simple, especially if they are being assisted.
  4. While I don't consider myself a "top tier" player in anyway. I do know my way around these games. I have done semi-serious pvp for over a year in WoW, and casual pvp for many years as well, plus other games. I have the gear and the mouse...it's just the game mechanics here with tanks being able to reduce the damage healers take by an extreme amount. ....tank + healer...thats only 2. Those 2 can hold off a group of 3-4 dps with next to no skill. A good healer and a good tank can easily hold the point against 1/2 the opposing team. Add a 2nd healer or a third and that becomes impossible to kill. As I said in my original post it's the premades that are running 4 tanks & 4 heals...not 1 tank and 1 healer. Hell I can kill all but the best healers 1 on 1 if I get enough time, at the very least pressure them off the point so I can take it while they recoup. Tanks by themselves are not a challenge...so this is in no way "One of those posts" about class mechanics...it's more about game mechanics. So you think it's normal for it to take 1/2 your ops group to kill 2 people? Think about that in a game scenario....8v8 warzone. Lets say a tank and healer are guarding grass. Your team needs to take grass. 4/8 of you have to focus grass (possibly more if you have even 1 dps that isn't up to speed or you happen to have some heals). The enemy team now has 6 people to attack your node with or guard their other. Now multiply that affect....do you see what I'm getting at yet?
  5. Because I play this game to have fun...that would not be fun for me in anyway. I am not that desperate to win that I'd sell out to some wuss comp just for some cheap wins.
  6. It's gotten to the point PvP isn't even worth doing anymore.... the fun is completely gone unless your one of the 3-4 groups rolling through with the tank/heal groups. It's a simple strategy....team of 8. 4 healers and 4 tanks. You attack any of the healers, they get guarded and healed by everyone around them. You literally can not kill anyone on their teams. So you nerfed dps because "burst was broken in pvp" and now no one is getting killed in war zones because of this. Yah sure I can survive all day too because no ones doing enough damage to take me out as I kite them blah blah...but what exactly am I supposed to do when I'm blowing people up with 20k crits and their health bars just fill back up immediately from all the heals rolling around the groups? I've done 7 war zones today, only ONE of these was not one of those groups. It's downright abusing game mechanics...with that much defensive ability even if one did die, you have 2-3 more guarding the objective till they get back. There is no way to take objectives. 100% impossible to lose with this set up. So....tell me how this is fair to anyone? Also...explain to me how to counter this since I know there will be at least one of those "Your just bad" trolls. You know..those guys that claim to pull 5 million dps and burst healers down before they can ever heal. So yah...pvp is dead in this game, and I'm one step closer to unsub
  7. not a matter of buying..it's more selling, everything people post gets undercut with another page of that item.
  8. I love how bioware put on this big show of "banning" people...just to let them all back in quietly. Was this just a ruse to get people to think they care? There was 3 names on the GTN during that exploit time who had dozens of pages of auctions of the companion items...didnt even try to hide who they were. They vanished for about a week and are now back at it selling pages of them. I got a guy talking to me about how he's been finding exploits like this since launch and buying credits and never got banned for more then a few days.
  9. I have always played tank classes in MMOs, I enjoy the style of fighting. Nothing is more fun then smashing someones face in with a shield or blocking their best attacks with my shield....so I find this game to be a bit lacking....no tanks, no not even an animation as if I was blocking anything with my offhand shield generator. You can't tell me we don't have shields as the Zakul knights carry them. I don't mind if it was only a flair item, I'd love a shield and would actually pay CC for it. (That's saying a lot if you knew me). Just think of all the fun ideas we could put together for outfits, toons etc. It would certainly make playing a tank in this game more fun.
  10. no...stun and kill them...they have to stand still to channel stuff still.
  11. How do I report? None of the report options in game have anything to do with hackers or exploiters... guy in hypergate capping a pylon as the game starts and then is at the other pylon before we can even reach it using normal abilities. When I killed him and tried to recap he was back at the pylon and attacking me before I was even 50% through the channel. And it's a PT...one of the slower classes in the game under normal circumstances
  12. Basically...Anything they do want to change now, probably isn't slotted until at least after summer vacation
  13. Yes, absofreakinglutely we should, you think the devs are going to bother making a change if we don't voice our opinions? TBH I don't really see them showing much interest in anything players have to say, let alone pvp..which is most often the most overlooked base of any MMO. Which do you think catches the eye of a devs faster? 50 people posting about the same problem or 1 post that just sinks to nothingness?
  14. obviously you interested enough to click on it, scroll down, and comment, which btw brings the topic to the top again. So clearly you do care. Thank you for your support.
