  1. Scientifically wrong. Stop smoking herbs, it’s not the 70’s anymore.
  2. You’re right in a sense — since you don’t need to go beyond SM for gear few will bother. My poorly written argument was basically that I’d like to see challenging solo content, which challenges skill rather than gear because top gear itself requires no skill to come by. To get more players involved in hm/nim incentives are needed. If not gear, then perhaps unique costumes, more mounts and titles.
  3. I think really challenging solo content (which at this time doesn’t exist in TOR) would be a nice complement to the group activities. But the challenge would have to be real test of skill, rather than gear. Because, let’s face it, SM ops are not challenging at all and through massive cxp (daily + gf bonus) yields much better gear through command crates than they really should. So gear checks in solo content seems wasted, as everybody eventually gets full 248. Given that the best gear is not gated behind hard content, just time and RNG, there is little to the claim that group content inherently is challenging and therefore rewarding at this time in TOR. I prefered the system until 4.0.
  4. Wow, that’s fantastic. There has never been a greater game, nor, I suspect, will there be.
  5. Edgelord - say ’toxic’ and reference memes in fleet chat 10000 times. Weak and shallow political debates about topics such as Elon Musk, the climate and religion also count towards this achievement.
  6. What kind of evidence can you produce to claim that the idea is entirely original and never used before? I mean, the concept as such doesn’t sound too novel and I would not at all be surprised if somebody has used a very similar phrase before. Being in the ad business, I would suspect that it is important to thoroughly research such things before making claims of novelty. Regardless, though, it’s a pretty weak thing to complain about (goes for both that other guild and OP). People borrow and copy stuff all the time, for better or worse. Once I saw another player character with nigh exact same design and costume as my main. But who’s to say he wasn’t first? Complaining about it would have been pathetic to say the least. Since you’re deep in the ad game, just come up with a new novel slogan that’ll blow our minds and recruit hundreds of padawans to your guild.
  7. After reaching 246 rating I swapped to alac heavy gear and it’s glorious. Now, follow-up question: I rarely dable with concealement, but every now and then I do. Are they as benefited as leth builds by 1857+ alac gear?
  8. No. But I will be kind and offer Wookiees for the useless blind species. Wookiee smuggler with wookiee companion master duo!
  9. I do know what LFM and TR stands for, but I guess clarity is never bad huh. Thanks guys. This helps me avoid groups losing intentionally.
  10. You people are not welcome to use my referal link. It is exclusive and I don’t need to grovel for cartel coins. Therefore as you can see my signature lacks aforementioned link. Instead there are Mon Cal emojis, because Mon Cals are kickass and I can’t believe they’re not a playable race. I’d trade both greenskins and the catpeople for Mon Cals. Ithorians would be nice too. I’ll trade the purebloods and cyborgs (and all emo boy band haircuts for human males) for Ithorians. Thank you.
  11. I got back to the game a little while ago and I haven’t really played much at all in 5.0. 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 was my pvp heyday and did decently in ranked (no bragging rights but decent). Now since team ranked is such an important source of UCs its popularity seem to have soared a tad, but the jargon is confusing. What is meant by ”lfm tr win” respectively ”lose”? Does the latter mean grouping to queue in order to lose to quickly finish the daily quest? Likewise, what is implied in ”lf tr mats” respectively ”no mats”. Please do enlighten an old veteran on the current cool kids’ jargon. /papa riggs
  12. I read lag in this context as latency lag, not poor graphics processor, as the emphasis is solo play and that several other aussie players have reported poor latency. Either way the difference really ought to be miniscule — especially with low settings, if indeed it is a question of poor hardware.
  13. Since you are soloing and use a comp survivability will never be an issue. Therefore I would pretty much go for aoe, and subsequently pyro (dot spread, powerful flamethrower) without sacrificing single target dps.
  14. Three things in order of importance: SPACE - with mining, free flight, neutral space stations. SW:G did it perfectly. Customizaton - Why are certain classes locked to certain weapons? I want my 1h lightsaber sin and 1 pistol merc, ffs! Environments - Yeah. The main hubs are dark and dreary. There's no sunlight or beautiful scenery in any place you actually spend time in. Hanging about in the main hub (fleet) would be hella lot better if it was actually, you know, pleasant. Compare with games like WoW, AoC, LOTRO - or whatever the kids play these days - where the main hubs are a) pretty and b) feel alive.
  15. I thought I had answered you, but it seems not. Thanks for your reply! Would you or anybody else like to comment on PvP alacrity while we're at it? Is 1857+ alac still desirable for leth pvp?
  16. Salaciousc is the best troll on the forums right now
  17. If only doing solo content / solo FPs (with jesus droid etc) this should be entirely doable if not outright easy. The real challenge is leveling through GF FPs without dying once Grats on the achievement though!
  18. The gearing guides say around 1400 alacrity for Lethality. However since this thread ( ) says otherwise about alacrity breakpoints (and this has been discussed for mercs on their forums as well), is the only interesting breakpoint 1857 for leth ops? And if so, is it worth staying at the low end of the alacrity breakpoint (702) and maxing crit until gear is good enough to sustain 1857 alacrity with decent crit to back up - or should one go for 1857 alacrity in low gear (236's) even though crit will be as low as 1300? This is obviously a PVE-related question.
  19. Makashi stance spec for sorc/sage, focused on melee damage with some added spells. OR just give shadow/sin one-handed saber. Remove off-hand gun for merc, let me buy a CM item visuals replacement for tracer missile to just a blaster bolt. Rifle for commando, same as above but for grav round.
  20. Actually quite simple since for example Unload exists in 1h mode from when PTs had it. And Power Shot? Either do it the cheese way of keeping animation with only one blaster (I would be ok with this tbh) or just swap to like Smuggler’s Brutal Shot after cast. I think animations are secondary, tbh. I’d settle for something that just downright hides the offhand. Regardless, devs would not have to fiddle with ability requirements such as ”requires two blaster pistols” etc.
  21. Why not that too? Easy things for BW to code, with a fairly big potential income. Simple customization stuff are a good way to make a decent amount of income without tampering with anything important in the game.
  22. Hey! As there are rumours of upcoming weapon costume slot, I'd like to suggest something that I believe could make you a lot of income on the Cartel Market. I believe it would be incredibly simple to enact, while I believe many players would buy it. I'm suggesting an item for the offhand slot, much like the "Covert Energy" armor set which effectively hides the slot in question. This would make dual wielders be able to look like they're using only a mainhand. Personally I'd pay in the ballpark of 1000-1500 cc for such an item. Kind regards, One who doesn't like merc and slinger dual wielding and has four dualwielders who would buy this...
  23. In terms of rotation, you can't really do anything wrong. Attacks with a procced frame are prio - but try to maximise ion wave/flamethrower output by hitting as many people as you can. Apart from that, prioritise impact bolt and dat punch/stockstrike to trigger your ion cell. Ion pulse to trigger trauma and use as a filler.
  24. This is Swtor location sync at its finest Much like in ops, if you absolutely want to make sure that you are not in the red circle, even though your character clearly is outside it, you'd have to force location sync with a jump or strafe. In high paced huttball with operatives and smugglers rolling around, this becomes comparably more apparent than elsewhere.
