  1. Thank you all for your good answers:). I also think it has to do with players farming for mats in ranked. So suddenly the pool of players in the unranked warzones shrunk even more. Another very poor decision by BW imo.. Anyways I might pick up the idea of making my own friends list of pvp players whom I enjoyed playing with. Perhaps I could get my fun back this way .
  2. "What's the point of complaining about random teams in the most basic level" I do believe that everybody can learn something - whether it's unranked or ranked My honest opinion about ranked is that it's too toxic for my liking. I've seen how players attack and blame each other in general chat afterwards and what is said is outrageous. That kind of behaviour doesn't define "fun" for me.
  3. The last 1-2 months warzones have turned so bad that it's almost giving me gray haIr. It seems like every player who had a clue about playing pvp either left for ranked..or maybe left pvp completely? In almost every single unranked warzone you now have players who don't help when you shout incoming don't want to defend our turetts don't read chat don't call inc So after a day it's like 8-9/10 matches lost and I'm pretty frustrated - how do the rest of you handle the state of warzones atm??
  4. Dowillia I think you're spot on with your observations. When that is said I can just add that we are more who have pleaded for pvp balance for a long time now. Question is if BioWare will do something about it or keep on ignoring us
  5. You've quit some time ago meaning you have no idea what state the current pvp is in? Regardless you prompt for a yes for a debuff. That's pretty bold m8. I'd say come back and play pvp for 1 week and I almost guarantee you that you will change your mind. On top I'm sorry to say but forcing players into something we don't want won't make pvp better. Players DO NOT learn to go for objectives because they are forced to stay in a game, neither do you get more active players in a particular wz . My guess is that a new issue will arise: There will be more afk'ers than ever before. The real issues are matchmaking and balance and BW needs to deal with them. Pvp could be more fun and challenging that way but you can't set rules for the type of players who don't care about helping their team and run for objectives. They will still join. So no matter how many rules or debuffs you try to implement they will still have the same behaviour and teams will still suffer from players leaving because of them. All you accomplish is to make players (even) more annoyed with the game - if they can't leave whenever they want to without being punished for it.
  6. Sorry to say but there is no old school pvp in swtor. Pvp has imo never been this poor as it is now and I simply can not understand why Bioware just want to add more salt by even thinking about giving warzones a debuff. Too big a part of the players in unranked warzones are not very pvp oriented and certainly not objective oriented. So let's take a scenario which is very common these days.: You join let's take Civil Warwarzone and the following happens: Everyone runs to mid but a few who tries to take snow (or grass) and succeeds People stay in mid - and hit on all the dps (and not the healer(s)) so no progress There are no calls in chat about incomings on the one turett we have Players even sometimes leave the captured turett undefended (and can't be bothered to ask for replacement) When someone is calling for help - there are no replies and noone comes ('cause they stay in mid as if they were glued to mid) Most don't red chat The majority keeps bashing in mid while a few run around without really knowing what to do.. So you tell me to accept this behaviour and I HAVE TO STAY in this wz????????? I'm still in control of my own wallet and there is no way I will play warzones if you force me to stay in groups like the ones I just described - just to avoid getting a debuff.. Push the already poor pvp design a bit more with a debuff and you will most likely kill off pvp in swtor.
  7. As if pvp wasn't bad already since the conquest changes players leave warzones right away if we just loose 6 points. Noone wants to stay if they think we won't win! It's horrendous so thanks BW for - again - adding salt to the already gimped pvp,
  8. In patch 5.8 pvpers are getting yet another slap in the face. There is little to no incentive these days to play pvp and with the latest conquest changes pvp is out as an option. You can't just have pvp as an option in the game and at the same time make such terrible decisions. So I think it's time now to get an answer from BW: Do you or do you not want players to play pvp in swtor?? If the answer is no then REMOVE the entire pvp option from the game. If the answer is yes start caring about pvp players instead of keeping up ignoring us. Your silence is not even on the verge of being rude anymore, it's quite unacceptable by now.
  9. I get your point that you think it's cheap but if you want to unlock more armor sets it adds up and it's not one tiny bit cheap. That's why I said in the beginning of my text that maybe it doesn't sound as much but it adds up. I get in total 600 cc every month and with an unfettered trenchcoat unlock that's the only thing I can unlock that month. I like to buy and unlock whole sets and with the current model it's not goin' to happen without me buying additional extra cc. So yes I stil think the prices for unlocks should be considerable cheaper:)
  10. I cannot understand why I have to pay betwen 60-400 cc for armor sets that I already bought. Take unfettered trenchcoat as an example: I bought it and want all my chars to be able to get a copy but let alone the price - 400 cc - makes me think twice. It doesn't sound as much but when you have several armor sets, toys, crystals etc. you want to onlock it adds up. If the unlocks themselves were not so costly I would be more inclined to spend more cc on unlocks in general - than I am now with the current prices - ultimately spending more cc in general.
  11. I couldn't agree more! After countless defeats because of badly matched teams due to: 2 or more healers on one side and no healers on your team 2/3 of your team has itemrating 190-223 AND not caring about objectives there are several tanks in dps-gear on the oppsing team (doin' insane damage) you know the outcame is decided. If I was being punished for leaving those impossible matches and get a debuff for leaving, I would quit doin' pvp in general. The solution here is not a to punish players for a bad game design by giving them a debuff, instead BW should start caring about the huge imbalance in pvp and actually start acting on it - meaning fixing it.
  12. Please start monitoring teams on both sides in Huttball. It's so full of players with hacks, cheats, scripts, 3rd part software and you name it to get advantages over other players. What was one a fun warzone has turned into Cheatball. So either do something about it please or shut it down for good - - all the fun is gone!
  13. Matchmaking and cross faction I agree BUT, as long as BW doesn't sort the bolster and the unbalance of some classes especially the op'ed operatives (4 players focusing can barely kill one operative) the frustration is just bigger than any enjoyment. What's the fun in spending time on gearing up and augmenting with legendaries when a lowlvl geared player with itemlvl 214 (I've experienced exactly that) joins the warzone and his crits do more dmg than you do because of a bolster that works this way: the lower your itemlvl is on your gear, the more dmg you will do in wz. It just makes you feel like a clown for putting up the effort to actually improve your gear,
  14. I wanted to buy some decoration items from the special rakghoul event vendor (located in the rakghoul tunnels) when the event was still on but I couldn't because I didn't have friendly reputation with T.H.O.R.N. yet. However I can go to the gtn and BUY the decor, despite I don't have friendly reputation..Huh??!!. This is just odd! Now that it's possible to actually buy items from the gtn without having the sufficient rep (and giving the possibility of storing the items in your cargo until you have enough rep), then please make it possible to buy them off the rep vendor too! Another thing is when it's a 1 week event please let players use as many reputation tokens as they want without the weekly cap. Weekly cap makes sense for normal dailies but not for a 1 week event. I felt like an idiot standing there with the right mats, having enough tokens and still not being able to use my tokens because of the weekly cap and hence not being able to buy the items, but if I was willing to pay Xkk on the GTN I could get them. Now I can just wait until the event returns in X amount of months. At least let me be able to buy them from the rep vendor so I can store them in my cargo, because then I can use up all the rep tokens I got, over the next weeks to reach the required rep.
  15. The same problem as everyone else, can't log back in and yet having guildies playing in the game. Bioware are you aware of it by now???
