  1. The highest is 220, if you reverse engineer ops loot (that is mods, enhs, hilts and barrels, as well as relics, implants and earpiece).
  2. It's not harder to do well. Even before 4.0 affection ascertained higher crafting effectivity. That cap was at r10. Now there are 50 ranks, and if you stay at rank 10 it's all as before. It's way easier to be an efficient crafter now than it was before.
  3. Also, to put a little light on being entitled to playing however you want. I disagree. You are technically entitled to play the game as it is designed by Bioware, not the game as you design it.
  4. It's not a developer issue; it's a social issue and should be handed as such. Use master looter with a trusted ML or go in guild.
  5. The slicing nodes were overtuned because of the agglomeration of them on Yavin. Ergo, they had two choices: prevent the agglomeration or tune down the credit gain. You seem oblivious to the phenomenon called price inflation. If they "give" you more credits (gief free plz !!!!), everybody else gets this too, which leads to staggering price inflation, meaning your extra income is practically neutralized by the price increase. The only thing this serves is to lock out new players from the market, which benefits nobody. Price inflation comes naturally to a certain extent as base income and base costs (quest rewards and vendor/mod item cost) goes up. This isn't hurtful. But an artificial increase in funds like you want leads to massive price inflation, which doesn't help you at all. Simply, it just adds another zero behind all debit and credit posts. My personal experience is that credits are far easier to gain since 4.0. The demand on mainly slicing materials is huge. Make a few alts and focus your entire legacy on 1-2 professions is key; diversification is only good on a macro scale. You should focus and streamline your operation to ascertain most efficient output. I make roughly 5 million per day from slicing alone, which is faster than I can spend it. Another solid profession these days is diplomacy because even the blue material sells well, mainly due to removal of reusable biochem consumables. I solidify my main slicing business with some diplomacy on the side, which on a daily basis nets me around 500k (with diplomacy only being run on two alts). Weekly heroics give more credits than ever before but is, in comparison to gathering and crafting (which is your bread and butter), secondary because it is time consuming. Again this game heavily favours a well-built legacy, as in if you want heroics to be your main source of income you should have 3-4 or so characters to run them on to ascertain that you don't complete them all in a day and wait for next week. TL;DR: Credit gain is fine, focus on crafting which is best income per unit of time spent. More credit gain from artificial sources leads to price inflation which doesn't help your situation, OP.
  6. The timer seems only to count down whilst being logged in. It's doesn't - at least for me - reset. You just have to be online for it to count down. I would wager bug.
  7. Hello everybody. I would like to suggest a feature that I, whilst knowing nothing about coding, doesn't seem so hard to implement. I feel that our personal starships, courteously handed back in chapter IX of KotFE, are very empty and dead. Since we now are beginning to surround ourselves with literally dozens of comps, why not let us select 5 or 6 at the time that goes in a separate category in the Companions & Contacts window. Let us call this category 'Primary crew' for now, its name is irrelevant. This category, which you fill out freely from the C&C window, goes at the top (right below alerts) of the window. These 5-6 companions will also be located on your personal starship once you're zoned into it. You don't need to give them any dialogue options or anything, just, please, dear BW, let us fill our starships with our most favourite companions so that it isn't so lonely and silent on the ship. This reason alone is why I don't let more than 2 current toons progress through KotFE. I love the feeling of a crowded personal space ship ; ) Kind regards,
  8. I reiterate what I replied to you in an earlier post, as it serves as feedback also. In 6/6 set 224, 224 mh 220 OH, Teeseven rank 33 healer, I completed the One and Only achievement without dropping below 60% HP at any time. The comp buff was well balanced I think, even though I would appreciate solo h2 SF a bit harder (but as the lead designer said, buff them separately from comps). If adds are the issue, you nuke them - your comp is not designed to be a an add sponge.
  9. Rofl, seriously? I just did it too. 224 6p bonus, 224 mh, 220 oh. Teeseven rank 33 healer. One and Only achievement done without dropping below 60% health at any time. The buff is more than enough. Maybe take your time to nuke adds, your aoe in infiltration isn't bad.
  10. Make friends/join a guild and run this stuff together. For the vast majority of us, it works fine. You can also lead ops yourself as master looter and ascertain that fairness is being upheld.
  11. I apologize if this thread is misplaced. However its topic, I would argue, is quite clearly pertaining to general discussion. With that dealt with, let's talk companions. KotFE attempted to revolutionize the role of our companions in regards to the story (ie. companions being more than side-kicks, taking a much larger part in the on-going storyline), and has given us a much wider roster of companions to choose from than ever before. With that in mind, which companion is your all-time favourite, and which one do you consider your main companion? Feel free to list what your character's class is, ie. to see if it is a companion originally available or not. I am interested in seeing if people prefer their classic companions with whom they've spent years adventuring with, or if they prefer the new ones. My personal all-time favourites are, in order: 1. Blizz (reasons are clearly superfluous. He is just the best. If you don't love him, rethink your life!) 2. Mako (She just works so well with a BH) 3. Teeseven (Droids!) With that said, I main three BH toons and they all use Teeseven (40+ infl) since 4.0. A cheery droid feels like a much more fitting companion for my hunters than most of the sentients available. Let me hear your favourites!
  12. A direct one on one battle is unlikely though. Palpatine would never risk open conflict, and that is - obviously among other reasons - why he is the best. He would play nestle in the Zakuul Empire and overthrow it from within, and Valkorion wouldn't see it coming before it was too late. Brute force is not Sidious' way and at the same time brute force never was enough to topple him whilst in his prime as Emperor of the entire galaxy.
  13. Is Black Friday the day where people in the US stampede malls and kill each other for cheap prices? BW could have like -50% CC cost tokens in Outlaw's den on Tatooine and people would stampede there and fight for cheap stuff. Could be pretty fun
  14. Apples and oranges. The OP is talking about 216/220 gear which obviously means he is a lvl 65 with not too shabby gear. My post was explicitly stated that it may be an l2p issue on the premise of having such gear and level, because it is simply not hard under such circumstances. You know, it would be easier to read what I wrote next time instead of going on about low level dps classes when it is absolutely besides the point. Addendum: OP, use a dps companion and it will be a breeze. Healer comps simply don't have any usage at this point.
  15. You certainly are not. Since OP is talking about "most heroics" I assume we're speaking weekly heroics. I really don't want to sound elitist, but they are simply not hard even without a companion if you are in the gear OP claims, ie. modded 216/220. You are simply lying about this immense struggle, or - and I hate to use this term because it will fan your flame of discontent and fuel your nouvelle gauche discourse - it's a l2p issue. I am usually reluctant using this term but in some cases it is appropriate: Case in point being "struggling immensely" with weekly heroics.
  16. Does that mean you don't get the companions or what?
  17. Your level - 65 Roughly Average Item Rating 220 min max full set bonus(no end heavy vendor items) Discipline Deception Assassin Companion Teeseven droid buddy Companion role DPS Companion Influence level 33 Content: Weekly heroic: Still super easy. In fact, since I only use DPS comps now it's probably even faster than before. The high comp DPS balances the very short time of recuperance after each mob pack, after which I lose maybe 20% hp. Star Fortress: See above. Star Fortress heroic: It's getting challenging, but completely doable. One and Only Star Fortress: Not tried on this one. Your level - 65 Roughly Average Item Rating 220-224 mix - min max full set bonus (no end heavy vendor items) Discipline AP PT Companion Teeseven droid buddy (why would I ever use anybody else!) Companion role DPS Companion Influence level 34 Content: Weekly heroics: As above. Faster than before. DPS companion is even more useful here because it helps with PT's lower sustained aoe rotation (in comparison to sin). Star Fortress: As above. Star Fortress Heroic: As above. One and Only Star Fortress: Much more challenging and, thanks to this, a lot more fun than it ever was before. A few concluding words, however. Healing comps aren't strictly necessary, but I suspect this varies with player skill and gear. As intended, certainly, but the healing nerf has rather made the comps positively useless rather than a choice of preference. It is useless, because it brings absolutely nothing to the table in comparison to DPS/tank comps. Consider comps an extra layer of security to your character. This is done in any of these three ways: a) Lowering TTK on mobs, ie. reducing the time mobs hurt you (DPS comp), b) soaking up the damage mobs want to inflict for a brief period of time before they die, giving you a window of DPSing mobs without getting hurt yourself (tank comp), and c) restoring the damage inflicted on you, which ought to require you to get aggro from all mobs so healer can focus on you (healer comp). The latter, however, doesn't work as I presume it ought to be intended. In 4.0, the healer comp was also the best tank, because they could healer aggro packs and you could peel them off one by one, whilst comp kept itself and the player topped off. This was too strong, no question. However, now the healer struggles even to keep either itself or the player alive. It brings too little to the table to be worthwhile. That said, doesn't mean companions are by any means bad or useless. The DPS comp is fine and a major dps boost, which serves the exact same purpose as a healer comp in the end. In fact, DPS comp "scales" better as the player gets better gear, because the TTK keeps getting reduced significantly. What I personally think you should do is boosting the heals a tad. Not much, but the major nerf was perhaps, if you excuse me, a bit reckless. The second thing is to give all comps a reduction in mechanics damage taken. Don't spend hours improving AI so that comps don't stand in red circles of doom, just make them partially immune to the effect. Thanks for making this thread and taking the time to read it. Kind regards,
  18. Really? What exactly is locked behind the heroic versions? Granted I did the heroics before any solo ones (only did the latter to try post comp nerf), but I haven't seen anything that claims heroics are mandatory.
  19. That's an experience I don't share. Perhaps it's a server or guild issue, who knows. As far as the last segment goes - see the bolded part. You still can solo all story content, and very easily so. Even without companions altogether. Heroic missions can be solo'd by players who are either good and/or well-geared. There is absolutely no content as far as story goes that have been, is or will be removed from single player experience - this patch changes nothing in that aspect. Even some flashpoints have solo settings since 3.0 (SoR prelude) and a few more since 4.0. Operations are obviously not part of any single player experience whatsoever.
  20. A weird analogy. Nobody is refusing anybody: The issue here, using your analogy, is that the delivery truck broke down and you'll have to wait a little. Goes for me too. Force majeur usually is a condition that bypasses any entitlements a contract makes you the beneficiary of.
  21. Wow, you managed to use slander on the internet. You, good sir, win a free kitty.
  22. And yet others say they can. Give it a try for yourself before you voice your opinion on the matter. That's usually the decent thing to do.
