  1. Perhaps rather Hatred as all fillers are traditional saber attacks (and with frequen execute procs, a lot of spinny twirly dual blade saber style!). Much less lightning than Deception.
  2. You really do carry yourself with an aire of elegance, erudition, and grace.
  3. That would be strange given that it is made of metal, like the shoulder, breast and leg plates of that set.
  4. Let us buy this, please. Cheap addition to the CM as the armor model already exists in game. Please <3
  5. So, if I learn the lore (let us for a moment assume that I don’t. Nice credentials having almost done something — and been ”around”. Since I am almost a psychiatrist and been around that business I react to your apparent need to show off your almost-merits, but the almost-doctor code forbid me to speculate in public) I would discover that for the most part of the history, the absolutely humongous and relatively benevolent republic doesn’t exist and most of the time a few decent people are fighting oppression by a much larger party? Right... Second. In the context of the game, yes, the Empire and the Republic war define the galaxy, and continues to do so for a fairly long time. It’s a shame tbh because what I love most about SW are space cowboys, smugglers and shady cantinas. But it would be ignorant to claim that the defining characteristic of this context is regurgitated Hollywood narrative of oppressed vs oppressor (the existence of which as a constant in SW lore was previously claimed but you provide only examples of republic fighting smaller actors).
  6. Yep. It is basically why we can’t have nice things. People love consequences in theory but when faced with them they plead for others to void the consequences.
  7. The constant is good vs bad, usually manifested in light vs dark — in this context embodied by the republic/jedi vs empire/sith. If you want underdog vs galactic empire this era is a poor choice. Perhaps you’d enjoy just watching nonsensical new trilogy over and over to gorge yourself in a regurgitated narrative. Have fun, toodles!
  8. So instead of Star Wars you prefer essentially generic space fantasy. Ok, but I don’t think most of us do. The ”alliance” was a means to an end, and it was a pretty stupid construct anyways. Nobody really cares for the alliance anyway — the alliance as such is just yet another generic ”oppressed fighting oppression”-stort that you see in basically all movies these days (even in the new SW trilogy where it doesn’t even make sense). It’s a narrative that’s been regurgitated ad nauseam (even in the Solo movie the obligatory pass to that narrative was present without it even making sense in the story). Lets have something else for a while now. Kick all player characters down a few pegs, and let the faction war begin. Let us go back to the essence of Star Wars instead of regurgitated cheap Hollywood narratives. If only for a while.
  9. - Post-Nathema war breaks out as the alliance lies in shambles, Empire and Republic are back at it - War quickly bogs down into a stalemate - Alderaan-esque summit between Malcom and Acina somewhere, to design a lasting peace reminiscent to the pre-Vanilla setting - Summit is attacked either by rival Sith or assassins sent by a would-be chancellor whose political popularity is heavily invested in the war - Both Malcom and Acina die, both sides blame each other. New leaders emerge and the player characters go back to fighting an ongoin but low intensive war against the opposing faction. —————- Low intensive war would be an interesting setting for another expansion. A sort of a diplomacy/subversion/infiltration/coercion oriented daily/weekly endgame where the factions vie for influence on one or several strategically important planets.
  10. @ OP — I got a bis 248 shield enh earlier today, so they are at least in the loot table. @ PennyAnn — Homework bs. Tanks are looking for B mods and end heavy enhancements that do not exist slotted in tier gears. The 248 bis enhs have only one source: Crates.
  11. Because my personal objection to leveling again is subjective and therefore not likely to be applicable for everybody else. But thank you for considering that it would be the case. Master’s datacron characters have awful gear and none of my outfits. I want to take my fully 248 slotted characters with my expensive outfits (of which not all are unlockable with CC) on a stroll down memory lane and I’m prepared to pay money for it. Your objection, therefore, is equally strange for not realizing that alts regardless of level are alts and not mains. I suggested something that I would like to see and that I would pay money for outside the subscription cost.
  12. SWTOR players in thousands of threads: Choices never matter, the end is always the same anyway, yada yada SWTOR players when choices do matter: Don’t let my choice actually matter!
  13. I suggest a CM token that lets us replay class story as is or with the option of playing it in veteran mode, aimed at lvl 70 characters who want to relive their memories. As far as companions go, the solution is already present since KOTFE — you lose them, but may call them back whenever from a terminal, but they’re from the perspective of story ”dummies” until they’re re-acquired through the class story. The veteran mode ought to have harder encounters, somewhere around the veteran mode of KOTET-chapters. This could remedy the problem of end bosses like Baras or Thanaton being too easy. The problem is of course non-instanced areas — but they can be left as is. In return for a more challenging story, the CXP gain should be adjusted accordingly. It is, however, important that a story reset does not reset access to daily areas, such as Black Hole. Yeah, you can make an alt. But they’re so incredibly boring for the first 40 or so levels. I can’t imagine the development cost for this suggestion being that high, and the return on investment will likely be achieved fairly quickly. I know I would buy a handful if they were priced around 2000-2500 CC.
  14. I am nearly always self-righteous, and I can without a shadow of doubt claim that SW:G is scientifically superior to everything ever coded. Now wobble off to the sound of tubas. Buy the linked book and bask in the supreme glory that is the collective memory of the best game ever made. Scientifically.
  15. Are you commenting on the inflation? If so, that’s about as woke as dividing by zero. If an item does not exist, you can not measure inflation by it. Inflation would still be there, apparent in the extreme with other hard/impossible to get items like the old Oricon planetary gear or the Crate-o-matic. I’m not against lowering CM prices if the revenue is the same for BW — it’s in my interest to ensure the longevity of this game because I like playing it. However this would not alter inflation because a) the relation between CC and credits is not linear and b) player wealth in credits would not be altered, which is what drives inflation. Regardless, CM prices are not in the slightest what is ”killing this game” as OP claims.
  16. Precisely. Inflation comes only from money (credits, gold, whatever it is called in game) generated in game, when generation is larger than sink (repairs, vendor costs, GTN tax). In MMOs, inflation tends to build up over time as people amass big fortunes which, due to no upkeep costs like housing, utilities, taxes, gas prices, etc., are not removed or relocated within the economy. Cartel Market does not affect this at all — if anything they can, as quoted poster mentions, fight inflation through GTN tac, or relocate credit heaps.
  17. @SourOrange —-But that argument is directed against the existence of the CM (and the devloper focus directed to it), not the prices — which is what the OP claims is killing the game. Whether that Kylo Ren saber that the kids want is priced at 5000 or 2500 is not a factor in whether the game is being murdered or not.

    Test

Classic conspiracy theorist and querulant style of prose. Is the OP also engaged in a vicious letter-battle with his local municipality?
  19. Expensive prices for fluff items can in no way kill the game. It’s just that, fluff. Besides if you don’t want to spend rl money you can grind up creds like everybody else and buy it on GTN. It’s a fair system. Some have more rl cash than credits and don’t mind spending some to sell the fluff on gtn, and for some it’s the other way around. Things that could potentially kill the game is lack of things that make subscription less in demand, such as no new content, et cetera. But I have an immensely hard time fathoming how a CM price slash would beef the player base up. Make your argument for lower CM prices. But make it proper — nobody’s going to listen if the argument is poor, like maintaining that the game is dying because of CM prices.
  20. Basically this. And to add: It’s not that group players hold some sort of negative sentiment to soloers as such. The issue, rather, is that development resources are finite and therefore priorities have to be made. Most players feel that new content is more important for the longevity and success of this game (subsequently — hopefully! — making the devlopment resource pool larger) than to go back and re-code old things. It’s not a question of negative sentiments, it’s a question of how people perceive priorities. Had the development resource pool been infinite or swole like Arnold in the 80’s, there wouldn’t really be much of a discussion here. And to comment on rewards in general: It is not at all an unreasonable position to argue that hard work should entail shinier things.
  21. Certain crafters can craft that chest though. GTN-> Armor -> Medium armor -> Chest -> search for ’underworld’
  22. You replied to my initial subjective statement with an attempt to disprove subjectivity with objectivity. This has always been a fool’s errand and is commonly something that internet warriors and Neil deGrasse Tyson fanboys do. But you can’t disprove somebody’s preference. It is a phallacy in itself. My love for a game I spent an enormous time enjoying every second in, which was massively more fun than TOR regardless of combat feel, will not be disproved by your comment on playability. The idea itself is ridiculous. Go to the corner of shame.
  23. I will assume it is a personal favour to me since aligns much better with my travel plans. Thank you (and please, those hundred bucks I mailed you in unmarked bills, don’t tell the rest of the player base that. They’ll just get it all wrong, you know?).
  24. That’s ok, take your time. Does this also move the double cxp event to the 7th?
