  1. I don’t know snytning about that. I reacted to the tone and and arrogance of your posts in this thread. It bears witness to a plague in modern society: the sacralization of opinion and ideology.
  2. And your strong sense of right is dogmatic, because all alternatives to your subjective viewpoint are essentially blasphemous and must be met with force and no quarters whatsoever. If people disagree with you, it is not because they offer another point of view, it because they are essentially evil. Your political opinions have transcended ideology to become religion. Good for you.
  3. Madness discipline is very competent for PvP, especially unranked where you can have a dotspread fiesta. The survivability is very good too, but if you are a very low level you may lack certain defensive abilities that give sorcs a boost in survivability. That said, when facing melee, don't expect to be able to facetank them. That's not what casters do.
  4. Err, sorry, so much new stuff since I came back to the game. I'll have a look around. Thanks for the tip Edit: You were right! I am in your debt!
  5. Hey fellas! I couldn't find a more appropriate forum for this query, so here goes: I'm looking for an item with this model usable for Empire characters. https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/td-07-blackguard/ The only one I have found which is similar, but has different textures around the shoulders, is the Emergency Responder coat from the old Contraband vendor. But that one won't do - I'm looking for one just like this. But I just can't seem to find one. Is there one, at all? If so, where may I find it, and what is its name? Kind regards, Eks
  6. Oh, neither am I. But it begs the quetion why you carry yourself with the supreme arrogance of a political commissar?
  7. I resubbed on feb 15 and today I used the SWTORSHARETHEOVE code. Does that mean I get 30 free days additionally and will be billed the next time on apr 15th?
  8. Romance with Arcann is like prisoner of Gulag camp develop Stockholm syndrome love crush with comrade Stalin.
  9. It is good, tovarishch sampolit, that you found This thread and initiated enforcement of correction on perpetraitors of crime. Silence is sign of banishment to camps of labour for enemy of thought-regime. It is imperative that labour to ensure correctionality of thought continues. Anti-regime thoughts disguised in form of ’civil discussion’ are wolf in sheep clothing tool of menshevik and fat cat corporate slave. This is illumination of necessesity of fighting dissident. By employment of tool of beaureaucracy and silent coercion, enemy of people will not employ devious modus of ’civil discussion’ against interest of thought Regime. Enemy will be halted at any cost. 10. It appears as though this thread needs some serious cleaning up. It is very simple: Worst: All of the ones from from KOTFE/KOTET. Best: Blizz. Blizz is the best companion ever. Because he is so good and bestest, I have no option but to give him a generous paid vacation. And when I do so, Mako fills in. T7 is ok too. But Blizz is the best. Because this is the internet I am sure you will ask for proof, so here it goes. Look at his "likes": Adventure, gadgets, friendship. 100% perfect. Now look at his "dislikes": Scary things. Read that again: SCARY THINGS. It's literally perfect. And it gets better: People who are mean to him. Now it's through the roof perfect! If you aren't moved by this lil' guy you are probably with the terrorists. And look at when he heals you: "Blizz sorry friend get beat up.". Exactly. Your mind is blown. And did I mention he is JAWA?! Again if you do not like Blizz and prefer KOTFE/KOTET companions or any other over him you are with the terrorists.
  11. Can we perhaps have opener and rotation in writing please? I haven't played for many years, used to love this when it was pyro...
  12. Thank you! And as for strategy: It seems then it is most prudent to focus on one character - is this a correct assessment?
  13. May I, a fellow returnee, borrow the thread instead of littering the forums with a new one? Has gearing, since CXP invention, become less alt-friendly? Back in the day getting more or less max gear for alts was a breeze - which led to me rather having a selection of mains rather than a main and several alts. Is it better these days to focus solely on one character, or is all this nonsense legacy-wide and it doesn't matter? Can these "crates" be sent to alts/are they Bind to Account? Thank you.
  14. To be fair, SWG post-NGE/CU was still good. At least in retrospect. The amount of content was still immense compared to most other games, and despite the dwindling numbers post-NGE it was still successfully player-driven. I never had a boring moment in SWG, NGE or no. It's been years, literally. And I'm a grown man now - but I still have the occasional and happy flashbacks to my Commando, BH/BM, Medic/BM... I'd give anything to get it all back, even post-NGE ; ) PS. Yeah, I know there are emus, but rebuilding all that I once had... No way. Starsider resident here.
  15. If I could give you a "like", I would've. Thanks man.
  16. Relics stay at 208 or 230? Thanks a lot guys.
  17. I personally consider the KOTFE/KOTET stories awful. The main reason is that they do not feel Star Wars-y at all. Besides the fact that they're inappropriate for non force-users (which the original class stories handled really well), they've sidetracked what the entire game is essentially about - or rather, was about - ie. the Republic-Sith war. What's actually worse than the new story in terms of Star Wars-y feeling are the aesthetics. Aesthetics make Star Wars what it is, to a very large extent. There's a great continuity in Sith aesthetics from this game to the Galactic Empire, for example, and the same goes for the Republic aesthetics. However, with the advent of Zakuul, BW introduced a new aesthetic direction which I think is deplorable. Zakuul itself and its architecture, the design of spacecraft (such as the Eternal Fleet and its formation), et cetera, share no continuity with anything Star Wars. Rather, at first glance, I would assume it being a cheesy generic sci-fi or possibly Star Trek. In the past, my only complaint in this perspective was the Oricon/Dread Master aesthetic which bordered classic fantasy, but that pales in comparison to the KOTFE/KOTET aesthetics. Aesthetics matter a whole damn lot in creating the setting, mood, and feel. With KOTFE and KOTET, they failed miserably.
  18. I haven't read the entire OP 'cause lazy, but it appears that using old 208 with set bonus is completely fine in lvl 70 WZ. Is that a correct assessment? If yes, when to start exchanging gear?
  19. I just returned to the game and decided to give my level 62 carny a try. Is it just me or does it feel incredibly rage starved in comparison to 4.0? It just all feels... Sluggish.
  20. There are two problems I can see with the new systems, disregarding that harder content doesn't equate the best gear. I will leave that discussion for others to discuss. Furthermore, I don't think we can change EA/BW's minds on the looting system, so my proposed action is just a small alteration that makes 5.0 gearing not much more painful than 4.0 gearing, albeit essentially still very different. Problem A: You don't choose which pieces and spec set bonus. Consider a DPS mercenary, getting healer set bonus and/or repeatedly the same pieces. This is an issue, because it builds frustration among people. In raids, either having the PUG standard 1 token per person rule or a guild DKP setting, you could at least choose what to roll for. Problem B: No legacy option. By this I mean gearing a few pieces for an alt by playing your main, using such methods as buying appropriate pieces and slotting them in legacy gear to mail over from left-over drops nobody in your team wanted. In 5.0, not only do you have to RNG to hope for that last implant, but you'll have to do it on each toon you enjoy playing. This is similar for PvP, which offered legacy-bound WZ tokens. Proposed solution: Make all Galactic Command gear (5.0 endgame) Bind on Equip. This at least gives every player an equal chance at selling pieces you have no use for, and to use the profits on acquiring the pieces you do want. This has two spillover effects that are reasonably positive: Economic incentive to do stuff, and it also means F2P/Preferred players can access the new gear (which they can't atm in 5.0), which in turn means they will spend CC for escrow of credits to purchase. See, there's even a financial incentive for EA/BW to do this... PS. If you disagree you're with the terrorists.
  21. Is it anarchism along the lines of Bakunin or a more Proudhon-inspired anarchism? Or is she an anarcho-monarchist in the Tolkien-esque fashion? Maybe she's a Rothbardian anarchist and likes capitalism, who knows? Pray tell, since I'm sure her story really goes into detail about her character, because BW are 'masters of story'. Kaliyo is somebody who kills and destroys for fun. This is not anarchism by any definition of the word - it's simply moral nihilism.
