Don't give up. You can do it. My first time to do this part was with my vanguard, and like you I was really not getting it. In the end, I did figure out what I was doing wrong, and for me, I had to make sure I had lots of space between me and her as most of her attacks are melee with the exception of that wide area knock back. To be honest, this is the first time I heard you could trick Vaylin into the healing circles to damage her. So if I was able to get it done without doing that trick, you hopefully will have an easier time. It may take a long time, but if you have to rely on ranged attacks that don't deplete power, try that as that is what worked for my gunslinger.

No information within mail for items sold on GTN
Jozandra replied to FragRockKnuckles's topic in General Discussion
Just for the record, I first came across this particular thread a couple weeks ago and took it at face value that the information was correct. So when I literally got the message within just a couple minutes of listing the item for sale, I figured more inquiry was justified. -

Thank you for the honest reply. This kind of integrity is greatly appreciated among fellow gamers. But why make a new post when my question was entirely related to this one? This way people can see I did a search to at least try to find an answer before posting. -
7PM PST | 14th Feb | 50 Player Stronghold Achievement Event

That is about 35 minutes from now. I would have tried to help out but you don't list which server or what character name to look for. I am not setup for discord, so guess I'm unable to join you, sorry. -
No information within mail for items sold on GTN

And as I've stated, in my personal experience, I posted something on the GTN, without me logging out and within about five minutes of listing the item that items gets sold but the email I get is the generic one talked about in this thread. Zero downtime zero purges occurred. So why would that. Is it more likely the case where an item was purchased from someone of the opposite faction? Personally it is frustrating to not see what was sold and for how much was it originally posted. -

Thank you for the defense against the snark. As I said, the items I placed on GTN were posted after the server reset and were sold within just minutes of my posting them, so could not have been a server reset. -

That is probably true. But you saw it as have others, so, the question can hopefully get answered. -

I'm a little late to this convo, but was trying to figure this one out. What I can tell you is that it has nothing to do with a server reboot. I can say this with certainty since an item I posted five minutes ago was sold quickly but came back with that generic message despite the fact I had been online while the purchase had been made and the item was only listed after the last reboot. Does anyone have more accurate info on this? Is it possible that these messages are sent when the items are sold to opposing faction? -
Please forgive my fowl mouth but what is wrong with stroking chicks (aside from stroking them too briskly)? I mean baby chickens are just so adorably cute, soft and cuddly.

True. Maybe I'm wrong, but every time I see someone posting doom & gloom "the game is dead" comments, I cannot help but think the person is probably employed by a gaming competitor. There is a lot of content that I have not even gotten to yet. Been actively playing since I bought this laptop for the last two years, and am only now one character away from becoming a Legendary player. Okay, so I am easily distracted and am most definitely an alt'aholic, but it lets me play this game the way I want to without feeling like I have to group with others all the time. As far as I am concerned the game is not dead.

Right? I may be in the minority (I really don't care if I am) but I love being able to replay those chapters on the same character. To those of you who don't understand the draw, please remember that SWtOR was based on KotOR 1 & 2, which are single player games. Nice having some continuity from that.

I too became the default guild leader of two guilds as a result of being the only active player left. Since the last update that made changes to the guild, I have learned you can see how long it has been since each character last logged in by checking the Roster. There is a drop down menu on the Member Notes tab that will allow you to view login info as well as a couple other things as well, so there really was no reason a player would not know when they needed to login to a guild in order to maintain their leadership. Personally, I had no desire to be the leader and would not object to turning leadership over to another player who had invested a lot of time/credits into the guild. What bothers me about the OP's complaint is that I was part of a guild in another game where the original leaders stopped playing, leadership went to a casual free-to-play individual who refused to reply to any of my messages regarding items I needed access to; items that I had been contributing to. In that game, customer service was able to force a vote after alerting other guild members. After that GL lost the vote, he/she stopped playing all together. The point is, guild leadership should always go to a player that has been playing/contributing regularly, and not be stuck on some rarely ever played character owned by some player who only wants the power trip of leadership. Since becoming the leader of my guilds here in SWtOR, I've invested a lot of credits for purchasing the flagships and added a ton of stuff to the guild banks. Would I hate to lose those personal investments by failing to login to those leader characters? Absolutely. But it would be worse to be stuck in a guild with a perpetually absent leader who never communicates with active members.

Indeed you can, but then you'd lose out on all the 20cc's you get along the way for various Legacy achievement completion.

I too spent many hours trying to keep everything organized using spreadsheets to keep track of crafting needs, unbound CM items, the aggregate total of credits between all characters, and which characters could harvest what materials. In theory it seemed like that would make things run faster/smoother to be able to log into my cybertech and just craft everything needed for all my characters at the same time. In practice it just became too much work to keep track of who needed what/when. Regarding GTN, I keep that fairly simple. Only select characters place anything up for sale, and what I do sell tends to be limited to surplus, so really no need for me to keep a spreadsheet on that.

Fighting a war on two fronts is a nightmare scenario. The Alliance would be crushed.

Maybe this question is irrelevant in your situation, but who did you equip it to, your character or your companion? While it appears to unlock when you equip things onto a companion, it does not always seem to stay that way. If that armor is currently being worn by your comp, then try equipping on your character to re-bind it to your character. For all my character only unlocks, I keep a copy of the items in my bank just to because of this type of situation. Hope you still have all the armor pieces. Seems that in-game support is becoming less reliable lately.

Name unavailable: please choose another
Jozandra replied to TGaP_Andrey's topic in General Discussion
Not always. Pretty sure Darth Flower Child is still available. j/k, it comes back "invalid". It is true, you do have to be super creative if you are mentally stuck with keeping your Darth name in English, but as you point out, English is not the only option. It is surprising how many options become available when you start using Google translate to create that "perfect" name. -
I am a bit confused on what number you feel you need to write down. Once you have input the serial number from the website into your phone's app, that number becomes irrelevant for to your use of the app. Do you open the app to see what the time-limited code number is? There isn't really any time available to write that number down since it changes withing a few seconds.

Normally I would totally agree. Just not when this isn't going to be retro-fitted to, at the very least, mounts with flourish actions.

Do you give your characters more than one outfit?
Jozandra replied to TheRandomWolf's topic in General Discussion
SWtOR dolls? I always thought it was more like paper dolls, LOL. Yes, on most characters, I choose an outfit for practically every occasion, and will spend enormous amount of time going through all the dyes to find the perfect match for each individual character. Even troopers need weather appropriate gear for Tatooine. Sometimes, my characters can be seen swapping into/out of piloting gear while around the spaceport. Now if only the companions could have a variety of outfit slots to set up, that would be awesome, LOL
